There is a large supply and selection of mostly food, treats and other chewables but also a nice selection of toys and pet accessories. What I like and also grabbed on my last visit are the large sized Braised beef hide free chewables. These come in all different sizes and flavors including chicken, venison, duck and more. The more you buy; you can get slight discounts which is nice. Because of it was my 'first visit' I was treated to a hedgehog chew toy by outward bound! A gent I chatted with said it lasted his dog several months, so it sounds like quality, which we all like. When I walked in the woman working, was extremely friendly, and so was the groomer who came out to get my dog. I had not asked for a trim, as this would have been covered in our discussion before I dropped off my dog. The groomer was very proud of the fact that she had taken artistic freedom to trim my dogs butt because she thought that was a good look. Im sorry but It is not her dog, he is my dog and it looks ridiculous. when I ask just for a bath I'm not wanting a bath and a trim. First off, I have never walked in the door without being greeted with a huge smile and hearty hello by one of the staff members. I always feel so welcome and when I have my dogs with me they are usually doted over and made to feel like the most special dog that walked into the store that day. Additionally, I have had multiple, LONG, conversations with many different staff members regarding a number of different, meaningful topics - food, behavior, toys, etc. The knowledge the staff have, and the fact that they go above and beyond just to help their customers out is a big testament to why I feel so committed to spending my doggie dollars at Mud Bay. They really know A LOT and really care A LOT about making sure you're making the best choice for your animals. They might be a little expensive, but I would much rather walk into a nicely lit, well decorated, invested-employee establishment and feel like my dogs are truly cared for than a large corporation that barely talk to you, and don't know nearly as much. Sadly, we come here almost every week just for the bones and ice cream. I still cook all his meals at home! So what's the best part about this spot besides the happy puppies? You can park downstairs in the village or up here in the smaller lot. It's a smaller store but they have the essentials that we always get: goat milk gelato, bacon and chedder swell's puppy ice cream, peanut butter ice cream! The smoked bones, Icelandic fish skin, the bully sticks, the chewy yak chews and the occasional little treats from their treat bar: we got the tub! You get discount per pound with the tub. He doesn't like them as much since they are mostly flavored with grains so we get a handful sometimes. But beef jerky, taffy, bbq smoked bones! Can't go wrong with them. Baci loves this place and so do I!
