My second time here and can with certainty say that Doe's Eat Place is superbly consistent with their food and service, all in a casual atmosphere. This place is known for their steaks and the steaks are no joke! All cuts of beef come perfectly seasoned and are served the standard cut much heavier than any steakhouse around. I guesstimate the standard ribeye is around 20-24oz...a true behemoth so come hungry or take the rest home with you because it's far too good to waste. If you're really up to the challenge, you can get cuts of beef here in excess of 5 lbs! They also offer tamales and bowls of chili on their appetizer list, both equally delicious. My only preference would be that the tamales were stuffed with more meat and less dough but they're excellent as is. Highly recommend!!

If you are in Paducah, run, do not walk to this beyond amazing restaurant. Not huge or fancy but the quality of the food more than makes up for it. I got the friend shrimp lunch. Mom got the Shrimp Po'Boy. Adam got a ginormous cheeseburger. I'm still thinking about that Shrimp Plate. The service was perfect and if Adam grows up to be like our server I would be very proud. His manners were impeccable! He was prompt, attentive, knowledgeable and unfailingly polite. If I could rate this restaurant higher than five stars I would.

Solid steak for the money. Took a while to get there but it was worth it. Service was solid too. No complaints.

Cool corner restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. We dined outdoors and ordered salads. Mine was a Steak and Blue Cheese salad that was absolutely delicious. It was huge so I had to take half home. The perfectly seasoned and medium rare filet cuts were my absolute favorite. Husband's salad was just as satisfying and let's not forget their yummy house made lemon garlic sauce that accompanied both our salads. I'd put that on everything if I had the recipe! I also ordered the beef enchiladas which seemed dry. I'm no expert on enchiladas though but felt it needed a sauce. Also ordered a cup of seafood gumbo which was rich and flavor packed! Indoor is quite rustic and dark. The wait staff is friendly and check on their guests often. If we lived in the area, we'd visit often.

Wasn't in the mood for steak so I ordered the fried shrimp. The shrimp were delicious. Fried perfectly and the breading was crispy. The cocktail sauce was average, I like it with more horseradish. Good thousand island dressing for the salad. Service was super friendly and attentive. Ambiance was good, decor was cool. Interesting spot. Had to park a bit far.

Had dinner with friends here, what a great dining venue! Very cool area, lots of history...and the food! The steaks were great, but the carrot cake was AMAZING....our waitress was also outstanding, if you are in Paducah this is a must try!!!

Who is in Missouri for the total solar eclipse. I had friends who were staying in Paducah Kentucky who invited me to join them for lunch on the day before the eclipse. We went Doe's Eat Place in downtown Paducah. We started our meal with an appetizer of hot tamales. I then had the fried catfish plate. Everything was wonderful. The staff were kind and courteous. Our food arrived promptly, even though they had a huge crowd of people. The ambience of the restaurant was that an older restaurant and so cute. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Date night had me looking forward to this place for a week. Warm cozy restaurant with delicious food. My mouth was prepared for tamales and the gumbo since the pictures posted online looked good. It did not let me down. My dates ribeye was juicy and cooked to order. Service was a bit slow but I would go back.

This was our sides, chili was great and salad was good.

For our entrée, we shared the pork shoulder, and it was absolutely delicious. The fennel aioli was such a great touch, and the combination of pork, peas, and greens made for the perfect Southern bite. We enjoyed it so much I wish we could go back tonight! We took a slice of lemon chess pie to go, and it was every bit as delicious as the rest of the meal. Kyle was our server and was fantastic--very knowledgeable and helpful with our selections. The restaurant was busy with a fun, lively atmosphere, but not so loud that we couldn't easily talk and enjoy our dinner. Definitely one of our favorite meals in Paducah!

We showed up right at opening, five o'clock, and there was already a long line of people waiting to get in. Make a reservation. I'm glad we did. We had a party of four and was seated at a low top that had a view of the kitchen. Lively open space with an open kitchen you can see both the cook line and the prep area. The cornbread was the unexpected standout of the entire meal. Mildly sweet, savory, light and fluffy all the way through. I was not expecting a side dish to steal the show, but it did. We also ordered the double stuffed burrata, and the bread it came with deserves its own mention. Crisp, lightly toasted, with just a touch of char. It paired beautifully with the creamy burrata and the accompaniments on the plate. For my entree I went with the grilled Caesar salad and added shrimp. It ended up being the perfect call. The portion was generous, the shrimp addition made it feel like a real meal. The romaine had this excellent crisp char on it that added so much. The dressing was heavenly. One of the best Caesar dressings I have had in a while. My favorite parts of the night had nothing to do with what was on my plate. We got to watch chef Sara Bradley working the kitchen with her team during service, and it was clear why this place has the reputation it does. I'd love to come back and try the prix fixe tasting menu next time. Overall this was a great experience from start to finish. And a must stop or destination when driving through KY.

First and foremost for us, they are dog friendly on the patio! We were traveling with our dachshund…read moreand needed a place to eat where he would be welcome (too warm to leave him in the car) that also wasn't the typical "burger and fries" joint. We split the Harris Platter and 2 frog legs (added on). It was enough for us because we were looking to eat light, but those with more robust appetites may not be able to share. A side + hushpuppies were included so we got the Real Southern Potato Casserole. Hushpuppies were GREAT and I believe they were made in house. The shrimp, frog legs and catfish were seasoned and fried to perfection. Crab cakes were on the smaller side (after all, it is a sampler) but packed a LOT of flavor. The remoulade was a great accompaniment (and tasted like it was made in house as well). Clam strips were good overall, but we're not really 'clam' people so we're not sure what is good and what isn't. We did, however, end up eating everything on our plate so they definitely worked for us! They offer Pepsi products as well as beer and a full bar. We ordered a West Sixth IPA (brewed in Lexington), which paired nicely with our seafood. Everyone that worked there was so sweet and friendly, including our very attentive server (we don't remember her name but wish we would have so we could give her a shout out!). We would definitely return here if we're ever back in the area.

I was quickly waited on by the bartender/server. The staff were very friendly. I had a local craft beer, Paducah Beer Werks Irish Red, which paired well with the Made from Scratch Hush Puppies and Fried Crawfish Tails. The Homemade Remoulade for dipping was excellent. I would definitely come back and would recommend to anyone visiting the area. The nautical theme is throughout the restaurant and I noticed a few fish tanks as well.
