Very friendly staff in the office and over the phone. The doctors take their time while you are in the office. Each time I visit there hasnt been a long wait. I like that they provide me with a print out when I leave. They also make sure to send in the prescriptions to your pharmacy as soon as you leave. Very professional, clean and friendly. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! The male nurse? was the only good thing about this place. He was the only one who showed compassion of any kind. Waited 2 hours, they make you pay up front, for what? Only the doctor to tell you what you already know. Please Tell me how to make my stomach ulcer go away ,or refer me to someone who can. Please don't just tell me to keep doing what I'm doing and if it "persist" to come back. I wouldn't have gone in the first place had I thought i should keep doing what I've been doing. I got there and the receptionist was not very friendly. Then they could not find my insurance and said it was invalid. Then instead of calling my insurance company themselves they told me to call so I did and the insurance company told the receptionist to enter my new group number but she said she has nowhere to enter it and that wasn't the problem when clearly it was the problem because the group number they had me under had my address and information from 13 years ago when I was under a different companies insurance plane with anthem. Then while we were trying to figure this out they called my first name and the receptionist said she's outside. I was standing in front of her and she was getting me mixed up with someone else who did not even have the same name as me. Then they called my last name and I said did they call me and the receptionist just looked at me and they took some old woman back so I figured they were calling her. Finally I get taken back without the insurance issues resolved. While I was waiting for the doctor to come in I overheard them saying they had taken the older woman back and thought she was me and had not verified her name to make sure whether or not she was me. So they could have seen another patient under my name on accident if they had not caught it. But they did not let me know they did that I just happened to overhear. The doctor was nice so no complaints there. But staff could work on their manners. Also when I was waiting in the lobby one of the women who maybe oversees the check in area was pretty much yelling at the other receptionist who may have been new and it was awkward and embarrassing. I can't wait to get my bill since they don't know how to look up insurance. I'll stick to the lighthouse location they are much nicer and know how to find my insurance. read more

Although I was the only one in the waiting room, I waited for over an hour. I wanted to leave, but figured I had already wasted this much time and desperately needed antibiotics. Unfortunately my regular PCP couldn't get me in today and I had to suffer though the experience that is doctors-on-duty. Went into office around 5:15 and was pleasantly surprised at the awesome service and upbeat staff. Dr. Diaz was wonderful and had me come back the next morning. Again I found efficient and wonderful service. Xrays were done by A woman named Aga?. She was great. I have avoided drs and hospitals for years. We came in for exam and vaccines for her to be registered for school and refill on medication. They kept us waiting for an hour after collecting a $200 deposit. Then after getting weight, temperature, pulse/ox and bp, we get put into a room and the medical assistant takes a brief overview of what's already written on the paper. She leaves the room and comes back and says they can't touch her because she needs to be seen at a pediatrician. Then they don't have any pediatric vaccines and won't prescribe a refill. 2 hours and $200 later we leave and collect the refund since the doctor never even stepped into the room. read more

I have to say, for my first experience here, I couldn't have asked for a more professional, friendly, and very informative pair such as Dr. Sasson and Jeff. Thank you both. I didn't have to wait too long, bathroom is clean. For someone like me paying out of pocket, I guess it wasn't too much compared to the annual total of what one would pay if having insurance. This Doctors on Duty has saved my life on numerous occasions. In the last two years I have gone through a cardiac tamponade, and colon cancer and Dr D' Ambrosio, Sierra and Angelica have made sure all the test I have needed and medication were ordered in a timely manner and all claims were processed in a timely manner. I love walking into the office and being greeted by the staff like family. My wife and I both have medical issues and always know that our medical concerns are number one priority when we walk in the door until we walk out. By far the cleanest doctors on duty office I've seen!!! Staff is very polite and professional also very prompt on the service as well as providing to your needs. I was in for a workers comp situation and they were well trained and equipped with all the tools and knowledge. I recommend!!! read more

I thought this place might be better with a new clinic manager. It's not. I went there. They refer me to a specialist. I call the specialist they tell me they don't have an appointment until September, and they don't have the referral from doctors on duty anyway. This was always a problem with the previous manager Ciara, the referrals just didn't get there. So I call doctors on duty back and tell them the situation the lady said they would get back to me tomorrow morning and try to get me into somewhere else. 6 days go by. I hear nothing from them. So I call. I explain myself to a guy on the phone. He says oh there's no notes here (par for the course at this place)He puts me on hold. He then picks up and says so you need a referral. I explain myself again saying i need a sooner appointment. He puts me on hold again. I wait. He picks up the phone a few minutes later and says how can i help you, I'm like wow i have to explain myself again, i ask to speak to a manager who seemed like she was just placating me, oh yes that's frustrating. No one there actually takes responsibility for their actions. 0 accountability or integrity. After all this they FINALLY DID WHAT THEY SAID THEY WERE GOING TO DO ALMOST A WEEK AGO. the doctor and nurse practitioner i saw were great, however i couldn't give more than 1 star seeing the office staff is CONSISTENTLY HORRIBLE read more

A friend of mine didn't feel so well (dizziness), so I had to take her to the nearest urgent care. As soon as we walked in, Anne N the receptionist at the time was more than accommodating and escorted us straight to the back because she noticed how unwell my friend was. I waited a little while to be seen but once I was helped the Dr. on hand was thorough and helpful in answering all of my questions. I visited D on D yesterday for a severe sore throat and dry cough. Office Staff: Alex and Ann were very kind and efficient, as I noted while there that they took multiple calls, setting up appointments, etc., while also accommodating busy desk traffic. Oh, they both did all this while also training a new office staff member! Medical Assistant: Derek, M.A. was also very kind and efficient, who guided me to my examination room after taking my vitals. He also took a swab of my throat as ordered by the nurse practitioner (explained below). Derek called me twice, leaving a voicemail on the 2nd call, because I forgot to take my work release form with me when leaving my appointment; I later retrieved it. Nurse Practioner: Jessica, N.P., was very kind, pleasant and noticeably very knowledgeable. After a series of questions of my symptoms and a physical examination, she readily diagnosed me with acute rhinitis and a sore throat (pharyngitis), but only after ordering a "rapid test" (swab) to rule out strep throat. I was convinced that I had strep throat!! Hehe Jessica thoroughly explained how to use the prescription medications I would be taking. As a result of her medical acumen and thoroughness, and prescriptions she sent to my pharmacy, I am feeling much better this afternoon. She also recommended warm saltwater gargles to sooth my sore throat and reduce swelling; she also suggested taking NSAIDs for my sore throat, which releaved my painful and scratchy throat. Yes, I would visit D on D shall the need arise in the future...great office staff, great medical staff, wonderful Doc., Jessica, pleasant office layout and convenient location. read more

This clinic has failed in five years to ever mail to me my urgently needed medical report's from there, from a Dr Kevin Brown. They know he moved, they refuse the LAW of sending written for requested records. As result, my referral timing ran out, for treatment in SF for Epilepsy. I have been without a doctor, or care, while I have had two more ishemic strokes, and many mild not unconscious, seizures. This place is ILLEGAL. read more

I had a terrible experience in this office and I will never return. Dr. Dias is a joke as doctor not a very caring doctor. He asked a couple of questions and didn't give much of an exam. I must of spent less than ten minutes with him . Gave me some kind of diagnosis and a prescription for pain and was on my way out. I was very upset that he didn't spend more time, when I spent a lot of time in the waiting room and then more time in the exam room before the doctor came in. The bill was not worth paying because of the bad service that was given. read more

After calling before-hand to make sure there was a lab tech on duty (I needed x-rays), after a 2 hour wait I was told the lab tech "had stepped out". Strike One. Waiting further to finally see Dr Jessica I found out that the lab tech was waiting for a home delivery of a refrigerator and should be back by 2:30. The Dr was very nice and said her receptionist would call me when the tech returned. When I mentioned this to the receptionist she basically responded in a not-too-pleasant way that no, I would need to call them. Strike Two. At 3:00 when I called to ask if tech was back I was told she had not returned. I had fallen the day before late in the afternoon and I was completely unable to put pressure on or walk on my foot, and Dr. Jessica's recommendation was to get get X-rays and she would refer me to an ortho surgeon or podiatrist. Calling DOD in Monterey I found there was a tech there and that I could head on over. All the folks there were most pleasant and helpful and I was in and out as I did not have to see a doctor. That was Friday 12/29, the beginning of the New Year's holiday weekend. Today I called Seaside DOD to get an update and was told in a curt way that there were no X-rays and that the lab tech was not again not in today. Strike Three. I finally called Monterey DOD who most assuredly let me know that the X-rays had been sent to Salinas Valley Imaging/Radiology. Both Yvette and Samuel were professional and helpful in the Monterey location. Based on all this I have made an appointment in Monterey for a follow-up with Dr. Millie Joseph and do not have plans to return to the Seaside location even though it is much closer to my home. read more

I usually do not write reviews, but after looking at some reviews posted I feel very compelled. Today, I brought in my daughter who is 10 years old to be seen. She had fallen at school and was so sore! As soon as we entered the facility we were greeted by many smiling faces, they told us to sign in and then we were given our paperwork. There was not a long wait in front of us, which was nice. Monica called us in and treated my daughter very kindly, my daughter was so nervous. She took her vitals and then placed us into a room. We were seen by Dr. Diaz who was very wonderful with my daughter, very patient and kind. My daughter hates going to the doctor's office so this was such a great experience for her. She was able to see what good care is all about. Thank you to all that made our experience here wonderful! We left with a concise report and all our questions were answered. It's not the same any more. Doctor's hardly available now a day. ..why they called it Doctor on Duty when it's only PA (practition assistant) working. They should call it PA on Duty!!!! Its a Very slow poorly environment to say the least...when they tells you 45 min it end up to be 3 hrs of waiting. And still they haven't called me yet. I see people got call in right in front me. Very frustrated. When requesting to art appt to see a doctor...they schedule me a month a head. I would give them a zero if I can. read more

I was vacationing in Pacific Grove. I was hiking in the Big Sur area when I fell and fractured my elbow. DOD got me in right away, got the elbow xrayed and was given treatment and off I went. The lady at the desk was very nice, the doctors assistant was efficient and the doctor who took care of me was very gentle and knew what the issue was right away (even before the x-ray). They do offer medication to get you started (which I declined). That is very convenient. I had no problems with my insurance and didn't even have to make a co-pay. I hope I never have need of their services again but if I do - I will go back! read more

I saw Dr. Diaz for a work related injury. What a good man. So caring and attentive! ALSO the Xray tech ANGELICA was the most patient person. I observed her patience while sitting getting my BP done and during my xray.. What a sweet woman. I didnt wait long..and since its a work related I can't comment on price...Overall a good expirience...UPDATE from earlier post...Ended up not being the doctor for me.. This place is the worst if you see Dr. Diaz. I have been there twice and after a few questions he decided I needed to go to emergency even though I came in knowing what my issue was since it has occurred 3 times before. He was convinced that it was something more serious and recommended a $10,000 test at the hospital. After 6 hrs at the hospital I was diagnosed with the condition I knew i already had and got the antibiotics I needed. A year and a half later I again went in and Dr. Diaz was on duty again and AGAIN he refused to treat me and recommended that I go AGAIN for the same test at the hospital. This time I did not take his advice but this office billed my insurance and I again had to pay my deductible. This looks like a scam and I do NOT recommend this facility. read more

I've been going to doctors on duty for almost 9 years now and they continue to get worse and worse. $205 for a 3 minute visit when all I needed was a prescription for a recurring issue. They didn't even have to guess because I came to another dod when the issue first occurred. And that isn't including antibiotics. A fucking joke and a slap in the face to all of humanity. I would give negative stars if possible. read more

This was a great medical center. The wait times were very low, if any. Stephanie at reception was completely professional and curtious. Anni was great with my xrays.
