Paid my copay as noted on the health system's website, and why I chose this location and Ravalin. Weeks later, I received an invoice/bill for amount owed and I questioned why as I paid my copay for visit. Upon further review, the visit was noted as outpatient. I only went to address knee pain. 10 mins, nothing other than- go get an xray and he advised of a surgeon in region. My primary care could have done. When I sent a message questioning cost and notation as an outpatient visit, I was met with hostility, oh well, "they asked for me to see you"- of which I sought out appointment on my own through insurance copay, and last message from Ravalin stating he was not responsible for my arthritis in my knees. I woulld absolutely not recommend this practice at all. Lack of cost transparency, lack of medical professionalism when questioning cost, and misappropriately noting a visit as outpatient and invoicing for over 5 times the cost of copay. He is a liar, rude, condescending, and professionally inappropriate. I will be reporting to my insurance and medical group. What could have been a good start towards addressing my medical need, it has turned out to be a disturbing situation and to some degree, medical malpractice.

The person managing appointments Lisa is a complete nightmare, she is rude, condescending, not helpful and not professional. It is really terrible scheduling appointments or even asking questions. I have never felt so disrespected in my life. If you want to be disrespected and spoken down too then go to Pacific Coast Orthapedics for help. You will get great medicial attention but you will pay the price to get that service. I have dealt with them on several occasions and had surgery that required multiple visits. This is not a one off moment. Lisa is constantly awful.

He stated that my MRI was not that bad and he felt that since I did not get relief from my previous injection, the issue was with my back. I told him I knew it was my hips and that after having two back surgeries I knew it was not my back. He did not care about my level of pain. I was in and out with no help or solid plan in a few minutes. He dismissed me completley. His office kept calling to schedule my back MRI and I declined. My pain managment doctor also disagreed with him, and he's in the same office. He wrote me a referral to Stanford. Fast forward less than four months later- Had my hip replaced at Stanford by Dr. Lipof. He said in addition to other issues, tears, etc. my labram had become detached and was just laying on the socket, one of the worst he has ever seen. I had presented all of the symtpons to Dr. Meckel. Get second or third opinions until you find someone who will take you seriously and don't give up until you find the right solution for you. I hate writing poor reviews, but this was poor medical care and I deserved better.

He sees Dr Lin. Dr Lin says "well my brother is a cardiologist and I never heard that." Well guess what? He IS NOT MY HUSBANDS CARDIOLOGIST. Today he goes in and IS administered a cortisone shot. After less than an hour appointment, I had ex rays, a diagnosis, and surgery scheduled for the next week to repair my injury. I believe Connor was my PA, and I was very satisfied with his diagnosis and explanations of what to expect going forward. Six days post injury I was in surgery with Dr. Mark C Howard at the surgery center in Monterey. I was very nervous as it was my first major surgery. The nurses and staff at the surgery center were great at my bedside and helped me relax. Following a successful surgery I was routed to physical therapy. Kevin was my main PT Doctor and he supported me on my journey even when I didn't have faith in myself. I worked with a couple other PT doctors and therapists, and they have all been knowledgeable when helping me get my strength back.
