Unfortunately it ended up not being a good fit for me as I didn't understand and wasn't able to use his last treatment plan. The directions had drawn on parts that didn't make sense to me. I emailed him but his return emails were cursory and I had to re-email for any follow up questions. Things like this happen, and if I had regular insurance covered visits it would have been no big deal as I could have clarified in person, but as I was self paid I didn't want to go further out of pocket and risk the same thing happening again. A more careful explanation of exercises to do at home and more thorough follow up if needed would solve the issue I had.

This is about Sydney. I was refered to Bay Physical Therapy for pain which increased when I swam (usually 1.5 miles, three times a week), and during sex. I understand that the topic of sex can make people uncomfortable, but it is an important quality of life issue, and my doctor was so reasonable with his "yes, if this is impacting your ability to have sex, that is an important thing and I want to help you solve this, while the therapist I saw seemed really uncomfortable with the idea that I want to have sex that doesn't leave me in pain for days. I recognize that recent grads are going to have limited experience, but I felt my needs were very much beyond her skill levels. It happened that most of the other patients that I saw her treating were ones who were seniors who are rehabbing from surgery. I'm an athletic middle-aged person and she really didn't seem to understand that that is different from someone who just had their knee rebuilt and wants to be able to walk across a room with minimal assistance. I felt like she really had no clue and no skill. When I eventually grew too frustrated with her lack of attention, I said I was done and that I was leaving. She was confused. I said that working with her was a waste of her time and mine. When I left, I canceled all my remaining appointments, and the receptionist asked why, and I said I was unwilling to work with Sydney. While I generally found the receptionist helpful, I was disappointed that she did not offer to reschedule me with another practicioner, and that no one reached out to me.

She was amazing, told me what we would be doing therapy to care for the other muscles in you legs, At every step she would have me do different exercises and adding mor then do physical therapy at balance therapy... in no time it felt great. In December 2023 decided to do my surgeon on the left knee. The next morning, the hospital therapist got me out of bed to start walking with a walker. A few paces walking I looked at my left leg and foot. The foot was Flopping all over. No control. He said I had "drop foot. Sometimes during the operation.. Cuts or smashes the nerve from the knee to the foot. The next morning the surgeon said I did not do it.. he said it could be the anthologist , or the surgery staff that did tourniquet that pit it on to tight or left it on to long. She…read morewas on medical leave for more than two months after a surgery so I was unable to see her after another episode of vertigo and I went to another physical therapist... I was declared vertigo free by this individual however, it cropped up quickly again after my treatment. Fortunately, Lynn became available and I went to her and because of her expertise, many years experience and her excellent training plus the use of camera goggles she got me over this last bout as she always has in the past. Key for me has been the therapist using the goggles with cameras so they can see exactly what the eye movements are and I believe that is key to successful treatment. Cannot say enough about her. They have completed nothing and was very useless with they gave my. Chiropractor only pop/crack and instant relief that does not even last long. For the physical therapist, I have no words for her. However years later I found a helpful youtube video online about Posture Restoration Institute, but was very skeptical because the video was 40min of things that I did not wanted to hear, but things I needed to hear. I gave the exercises online a try and found out there was relief in my whole body which was very pleasant and satisfying. From my first in-person consultation, Cody was thorough on assessing and identifying things that I personally need to work on to help with my posture. He made every session educational for me to understand what going on and what I needed to do to fix my pain and discomfort.
