I was just sent reminders for 2 appointments that I cancelled…read more Last week I was made to pay a $90 fine for a missed appointment that I believe I cancelled. It is hard not to wonder if I was tricked. And I do not know the name of the therapist who works there-- not the temp but the long-term employee. She never introduced herself and remained consistently chilly. I have reluctantly concluded that she is not an asset to your practice. I don't know if your inattention to detail is incompetence or purposeful. There is also a lack of follow-through. For example, I asked if I should be doing exercises at home and was told twice that I would be given some. She gave me none. She then promised to email them to me. Nope There is also a general failure to explain the purpose of exercises, which is fundamental to the practice of PT. I see a reluctance to talk with patients beyond what seems absolutely necessary, keeping a distance that may benefit therapists but feels a bit chilly. The casualness with which staff treat patients can feel like neglect. . And now I see reminders for appointments that I KNOW I cancelled. I have decided to cease therapy with Ryan Ranch. This is clearly not a therapeutic relationship for me.

I really enjoyed my time there and thought that they did a great job. One of the things that I really liked was that I always worked with the same therapist, Tri. Tri was great and asked me lots of questions about what my desires were for post-operative life, and came up with a treatment plan designed specifically for me. He always listened to what I had to say and then would modify a day's treatment to address any problems I may have had since my last visit. The treatments never felt rushed and I really felt I got the most out of the regime. They also seemed to have a strict COVID protocol which they followed closely, so I was never concerned with catching the virus during a visit. I would highly recommend Terrapin to anyone who needs PT on the Monterey Peninsula.

I have had a really mixed bag of experience at Bay Physical Therapy. When I saw Sarah a few years…read moreago, she was wonderful, skilled, and very personable. That's not what this review is about. This is about Sydney. I was refered to Bay Physical Therapy for pain which increased when I swam (usually 1.5 miles, three times a week), and during sex. I understand that the topic of sex can make people uncomfortable, but it is an important quality of life issue, and my doctor was so reasonable with his "yes, if this is impacting your ability to have sex, that is an important thing and I want to help you solve this, while the therapist I saw seemed really uncomfortable with the idea that I want to have sex that doesn't leave me in pain for days. I recognize that recent grads are going to have limited experience, but I felt my needs were very much beyond her skill levels. It happened that most of the other patients that I saw her treating were ones who were seniors who are rehabbing from surgery. I'm an athletic middle-aged person and she really didn't seem to understand that that is different from someone who just had their knee rebuilt and wants to be able to walk across a room with minimal assistance. I felt like she really had no clue and no skill. When I eventually grew too frustrated with her lack of attention, I said I was done and that I was leaving. She was confused. I said that working with her was a waste of her time and mine. When I left, I canceled all my remaining appointments, and the receptionist asked why, and I said I was unwilling to work with Sydney. While I generally found the receptionist helpful, I was disappointed that she did not offer to reschedule me with another practicioner, and that no one reached out to me.

Lynn Herbert PT, of Optimum Balance & Rehabilitation Center, is very nice, considerate,…read moreknowledgeable, and proficient in testing for Vertigo that may be causing my Dizziness. No mumbo jumbo. just a straight shooter. I was very impressed. She was not the usual type medical provider I've been referred to lately thats reading the referral and looking at their watch as they greet you. She was very clear in what the Vertigo test would consist of. This was not a hearing test, just the Ear Channels and Chrystals therein. She explained the tests would only take a couple of minutes and if the ears were the problem it would be an easy fix. She put some kind of googles on both eyes, that sent information to a machine that deciphered and showed eye movement on TV Screen, which gave her an indication of which Inner Ear Channel may be causing a problem. She ask my wife to watch the TV screen so she could see what was happening. She tested me 3 times cuz she wasn't believing my 1st result based on my age. Spent about an hour with me asking questions, etc. When we talked about the Black Eye I had several months ago she said vision can also affect Dizziness. Luckily I have an Eye Doctor appointment next week If your having Dizzy spells or think you have Vertigo or been diagnosed with Vertigo, you should definitely see Lynn Herbert for testing and treatment. It's money and time well spent. I think you will be impressed like i was. Give her a call at 831-601-7728 or at least look at her Web Site: https://optimumbalancerehabilitation.com/

Key for me has been the therapist using the goggles with cameras so they can see exactly what the eye movements are and I believe that is key to successful treatment. Cannot say enough about her. She knows her stuff snd she's an excellent practitioner, compassionate, and understanding as well.

Writing a review after coming back from my last Posture restoration session with Cody…read more Backstory: I have going to see a chiropractor for 2 years and a physical therapist for a year. They have completed nothing and was very useless with they gave my. Chiropractor only pop/crack and instant relief that does not even last long. For the physical therapist, I have no words for her. However years later I found a helpful youtube video online about Posture Restoration Institute, but was very skeptical because the video was 40min of things that I did not wanted to hear, but things I needed to hear. I gave the exercises online a try and found out there was relief in my whole body which was very pleasant and satisfying. From my first in-person consultation, Cody was thorough on assessing and identifying things that I personally need to work on to help with my posture. He made every session educational for me to understand what going on and what I needed to do to fix my pain and discomfort. The Exercises he prescribe to me for homework were very hard to do, but what is easy in life. Instant gratification is not better than delayed gratification. "Delaying gratification is a process of scheduling the pain and pleasure of life in such a way as to enhance the pleasure by meeting and experiencing the pain first and getting it over with. It is the only decent way to live." - M. Scott Peck After several months of therapy with Cody, my body feels significantly different. The pain that once seemed a part of my life has greatly reduced, and in many cases, disappeared. My posture has not only improved aesthetically but I also feel stronger for my lifts and more energetic. I highly recommend Cody's services to anyone looking to address posture-related issues and enhance their overall physical health.
