DO NOT RECOMMEND!! When I made my new patient appt, I had a choice between a free 15 minute consultation or an appt that included an evaluation & treatment. With how much pain I am in & how much I was looking forward to getting physical therapy started, I chose the evaluation & treatment & they set up my appt with Ana. When I arrived, Ana was running a bit behind, as she was eating her salad & chatting with other employees in the treatment area as I waited (even though I was asked to arrive 20 mins prior to my appt), but everyone needs to eat lunch so I was understanding of the 10/15 min delay past my appt time (even though I thought it was extremely unprofessional to be eating in front of patients like that). Ana recommend a treatment (Mackenzie Technique), that she stressed multiple times was extremely painful, but she believed was the best treatment option as opposed to traditional physical therapy. When I expressed that I would be more comfortable talking to my doctor first & just doing the traditional physical therapy today, she became defensive & was even advising me that it was not necessary to continue seeing my doctor, with the treatment plan she was suggesting. She abruptly ended my appt & I never even received any kind of treatment, even though I was told both when I made the appt & also by Ana in the beginning of the appt that we would be doing treatment today. If we were not going to do treatment today, I would have gone in the for 15 minute consultation. Why would I pay $90 for an appt that did not even include treatment? That would make no sense whatsoever. When I called the office to express my disappointment, I was told the evaluations don't always include treatment, sometimes they do & sometimes they don't. She also claimed they don't offer free 15 minute consultations, even though it clearly states they do on their website. I was told I wouldn't get a response to my complaint for 2 more days, but luckily I did hear from Ana sooner then that, but only to say they refunded me my $, there was NO apology whatsoever or any kind of acknowledgment about my disappointment with the appt. Patient satisfaction is obviously not their priority & I would never patronize an established such as this. Very disappointed with my entire experience here.

Paid my copay as noted on the health system's website, and why I chose this location and Ravalin. Weeks later, I received an invoice/bill for amount owed and I questioned why as I paid my copay for visit. Upon further review, the visit was noted as outpatient. I only went to address knee pain. 10 mins, nothing other than- go get an xray and he advised of a surgeon in region. My primary care could have done. When I sent a message questioning cost and notation as an outpatient visit, I was met with hostility, oh well, "they asked for me to see you"- of which I sought out appointment on my own through insurance copay, and last message from Ravalin stating he was not responsible for my arthritis in my knees. I woulld absolutely not recommend this practice at all. Lack of cost transparency, lack of medical professionalism when questioning cost, and misappropriately noting a visit as outpatient and invoicing for over 5 times the cost of copay. He is a liar, rude, condescending, and professionally inappropriate. I will be reporting to my insurance and medical group. What could have been a good start towards addressing my medical need, it has turned out to be a disturbing situation and to some degree, medical malpractice.

The person managing appointments Lisa is a complete nightmare, she is rude, condescending, not helpful and not professional. It is really terrible scheduling appointments or even asking questions. I have never felt so disrespected in my life. If you want to be disrespected and spoken down too then go to Pacific Coast Orthapedics for help. You will get great medicial attention but you will pay the price to get that service. I have dealt with them on several occasions and had surgery that required multiple visits. This is not a one off moment. Lisa is constantly awful.

He stated that my MRI was not that bad and he felt that since I did not get relief from my previous injection, the issue was with my back. I told him I knew it was my hips and that after having two back surgeries I knew it was not my back. He did not care about my level of pain. I was in and out with no help or solid plan in a few minutes. He dismissed me completley. His office kept calling to schedule my back MRI and I declined. My pain managment doctor also disagreed with him, and he's in the same office. He wrote me a referral to Stanford. Fast forward less than four months later- Had my hip replaced at Stanford by Dr. Lipof. He said in addition to other issues, tears, etc. my labram had become detached and was just laying on the socket, one of the worst he has ever seen. I had presented all of the symtpons to Dr. Meckel. Get second or third opinions until you find someone who will take you seriously and don't give up until you find the right solution for you. I hate writing poor reviews, but this was poor medical care and I deserved better.
