She was always available to answer my questions, walked me through every step, and even provided helpful videos explaining what to expect before and after surgery. As a former professional snowboarder, I've had my share of injuries and surgeries over the years, so I'm not new to the process. I managed to heal two of them through physical therapy and other treatment modalities. I was terrified to get surgery but after two years, my friend suggested I see Dr Gollogly. A colleague of mine had a similar injury and after his surgery, he was out of commission for almost a year. Dr Gollogly's methods are minimally invasive, and I was able to resume physical activity the very next day. The Doctor and I have a mutual friend so he even let me stay at his house post surgery. I am back to full activity with some mild nerve pain, but my symptoms continue to improve. I highly suggest Dr Gollogly if you've exhaust all other treatment options

Since the beginning of this year, I have been trying to schedule an appointment. Instead of helping me move forward, the assistant told me that Dr. Holamandara would not see me until I had an MRI. She instructed me to ask my primary care physician to order it. That made no sense because the specialist is the one requesting the MRI and should be responsible for providing the appropriate referral or coordinating the necessary steps. Because I had previously seen Dr. Pativanda for the same condition, I was then told that they would contact Dr. Pativanda's office to request the MRI referral. That was over four months ago. Since then, I have called both offices every couple of weeks asking for an update. Dr. Holamandara's office and Dr. Pativanda's office are located directly across from each other in the same building, yet no one seems able to communicate or provide answers. Neither office has followed up with me, returned my calls with a solution, or taken ownership of resolving the issue. The lack of communication, coordination, and accountability has delayed my medical care for months. As a patient, I should not have to spend months chasing down referrals and repeatedly calling multiple offices just to get a simple answer. Patients deserve timely communication, clear guidance, and staff who are willing to help instead of passing responsibility to someone else. I hope this office improves its patient care and communication because no one seeking medical treatment should have to go through this experience.

My Mom stumbled out of a van and broke her wrist a couple of weeks ago, It was fortunately a pretty clean break, but she is in her 80s. I went with her on a follow-up appointment where she had her first cast removed, the break Flouroscoped (similar to XRays) and a new cast put on. Dr. Satow did all of this himself, with a great gentle manner and attentive care, while talking to me about the World Cup results at the same time. He put on a lighter cast and she will go back in a few weeks to remove that and get a sling. His office has tickets and sports memorabilia on the walls and he loves competitive sports, despite his professional appearance and soft manner. He stated that my MRI was not that bad and he felt that since I did not get relief from my previous injection, the issue was with my back. I told him I knew it was my hips and that after having two back surgeries I knew it was not my back. He did not care about my level of pain. I was in and out with no help or solid plan in a few minutes. He dismissed me completley. His office kept calling to schedule my back MRI and I declined. My pain managment doctor also disagreed with him, and he's in the same office. He wrote me a referral to Stanford. Fast forward less than four months later- Had my hip replaced at Stanford by Dr. Lipof. He said in addition to other issues, tears, etc. my labram had become detached and was just laying on the socket, one of the worst he has ever seen. I had presented all of the symtpons to Dr. Meckel. Get second or third opinions until you find someone who will take you seriously and don't give up until you find the right solution for you. I hate writing poor reviews, but this was poor medical care and I deserved better.

But now I tore my meniscus in my left knee. I was motivated to writing this review because his Monterey office which Suzy runs the front desk was very accommodating and getting me in on the same day that I called. Dr gerbino looked over my MRI again and found a torn meniscus in my left knee and gave me a cortisone shot. I know he doesn't want to see his patients suffer.
