I enjoyed their donut. It's comparable in price to other high end donut shops like Blue Star and Voodoo Donuts where they charge $3-4 for donuts. I liked their matcha mochi donut. It's light and slightly chewy compared to a dense and greasy old fashion donut. We need one in Portland. Very few mochi donut places in PDX. read more

I have been wanting to try these mochi donuts for a long time. I finally was near the Southcenter Parkway location and decided to go buy some. Dochi Donuts is in the Lam's Seafood foodcourt. You can get to the foodcourt by going through the main store entrance or through the mall entrance north of Best Buy. I wanted a dozen donuts but at $31 it's too expensive so I opted to buy 6 donuts for $16.50. We arrived late afternoon so some of the flavors were sold out. We picked the cookies & dream, choco churro and the chocolate almond. I loved the texture of the mochi donuts - soft and chewy. They were not sickenly sweet. The chocolate almond was good but the cookies & dream and the chocolate churro were tasty. I would have given them 5 stars but they are a bit on the expensive side. read more

The donuts here are amazingly good. It tastes just like a donut when you bite into but the texture is a little "mochi-esque". They offer a variety of flavors from cookies and cream, strawberry pebbles to matcha, ube, taro and coffee. It's $2.75 for one, but I find myself always leaving with half a dozen. First time here since they opened this new location!! They're always closed by the time I can get here on the weekends or sold out of the flavors I love. I was able to snag a couple delicious thangs this Saturday when I came around closing. They even gave me 1 free donut!!! Like I've always said for the Chinatown location, I will come back time and time again. I'm a LOYAL DOCHI SUPPORTER. I tried their pumpkin spice, chocolate crunch and strawberry crispearls for the first time. I don't love the pumpkin spice and thought the chocolate crunch was a tad too sweet. Dochi's ube glazed is known to be the best IMO Bc it's not too sweet and perfectly chewy/mochi like. My other favorites: Taro pebbles Strawberry pocky Cookies & creme w/ cookie butter! I don't recommend the matcha flavors.. there are better flavors to spend your $17 on if you get a half dozen! -1 star for the price for 6 donuts. read more

I really love these mochi donuts! My absolute favorite is the ube glazed!! It's not super sweet and I love the taste of ube. Last week we stopped by for the 100th time and they had seasonal flavors!! Pistachio matcha is a new one and it was super yummy! Strawberry pebbles is so delicious and a favorite for the kids and adults! Normally they have taro pebbles and that's also yummy. I do prefer the strawberry though! Choco coconut & Carmel tastes reminds me of a Girl Scout cookie. I never get sick of coming here! I just wish they were a little cheaper but I'll still keep buying them! They need a loyalty program for dedicated fans! read more

We called to ask if they have flavors left and told us they had some to last about 30 mins. We asked if we could order a dozen and we would be there ASAP but they didn't guarantee anything. They called us back within 15 mins saying they're going to save us a box of what was left! We weren't expecting it but let me say, we were so happy and grateful! I cant wait for the ID location to open up again, for now I'm in a safe spot because this location is much further for me so I have control over my cravings haha. Dochi has an assortment of donut flavors to choose from, along with cute packaging as well! If you're indecisive like my, you can't go wrong with getting a half-dozen and trying one of each. On the exterior I was afraid everything would be overly sweet (pocky on top? glazed and frosted?!) but no, they have their flavors melded perfectly. Each topping complimented well with each mochi donut base, and never felt overwhelmingly sweet. In fact my favorite was probably the cookies and cream (and I am someone that does not enjoy frosting or chocolate too often). It was such a fun and great balance of flavors and texture. They have their mochi recipe down as well, as the dough is bouncy and fluffy, The circular shapes make it easy to portion control and split with friends. I'm so excited to see whats in store for them, and to keep on trying out new flavors! read more

When I found this spot on Yelp, I had to run over. It's located inside a market, and was pretty easy to find. The staff was very kind. There was a wide variety to pick from, we tried the matcha, ube, Ferraro Rocher and strawberry pocky. All of them were delicious and true to flavor! My favorite was definitely the matcha- I absolutely loved the flavor and the Oreo was a wonderful touch. I would definitely recommend trying out this spot, and I will be going back! read more

I don't have much of a sweet tooth, but I will say that these donuts are a new favorite! These mochi donuts are very light, airy, chewy, and not overpoweringly sweet. Located inside Lam's Seafood Market!!! I was so excited to hear this was opening, sooo much more convenient for a lot of people around the area! My friend & I were first in line we came about 40 min early no one was there YET... 20 min before opening the line was getting pretty long quick, so I suggest coming at least 30 min early if you want to grab some because I do believe they run out! They are all GOOD so if it's your first time trying it I would recommend getting one of each flavor. My top favorites are def the Matcha Oreo, Cookies & Creme & Pocky! I also do like the other Ube flavors which they did not have sadly. Not overly sweet which I love & has that nice light mochi texture to it. Can't wait till they bring out the other flavors! I just got home after shopping at the Asian market this place is located in and I annihilated three dochis. I got the 1/2 dozen, one of each flavor for the day. It was soooo fluffy and delicious. I just had dinner and didn't think I had room for anything else but apparently I thought wrong. I ate the ube flavored one, the green tea Oreo dochi, and the fruity pebbles one. There dochi itself is not overly sweet but just right. It's the toppings and icing that add to the sweetness but that's expected. Which is why I couldn't stop eating them. The line at this particular shop went pretty quickly. I think it's reasonably priced and the flavors seem to vary from day to day. Believe the hype. It's real. Go get you some Dochi. read more

I've tried a couple of other sugarcane juice shops in the US in the last couple of years and this one tastes by far the most similar to my trips to Malaysia and Singapore. Nothing says "great workout" quite like immediately replacing every calorie you just burned with one of Bakery Nouveau's twice-baked chocolate croissants. I prefer to think of it as strategic carbohydrate replenishment. Everything here is exceptional. The pastries are buttery, flaky, and somehow manage to ruin every grocery store croissant for the rest of your life. The coffee is excellent, the staff is consistently friendly, and it's one of those places where it's impossible to leave with only the one thing you came in for. The neighborhood feels safe, parking is plentiful, and the only real hazard is convincing yourself you deserve "just one more pastry." Five stars. My spin instructor may disagree. Bakery Nouveau is worth every extra minute on the bike.

I went to the register to order and the girl behind the counter told me she wouldn't take my order and I needed to use the self serve kiosk, I told her I'd wait and would prefer she took my order. She told me I had to order on the kiosk. As soon as I started ordering someone came up behind me and she offered to take their order. I was irritated to say the least. I was ordering 3 ice creams and taiyaki to go. I knew she would have been faster taking my order them me trying to figure it out. During that time, she took a few people's orders and then started working on their orders, so I stood there for quite some time until she would start my order. This really irritated me since she could have just taken my order and it would have been much quicker and I wouldn't have had to wait near as long. BTW I'm usually a self check-out girl, I normally prefer it, but for something that I knew would be faster with an employee I wanted an actual person taking my order. The ice cream was good, as always with Somisomi. I did not appreciate the lack of service. I've been to at least 4 other locations is southern California and never had an experience like this.

I only work 2 miles from Dochi & I commute to work. They are located in Lam's Seafood Market in Tukwila, WA. On this particular day, I had called ahead of time to let them know I will be there a few minutes after 4pm. It was my husband's birthday & I do not get him a traditional birthday cake. He is a huge baked goods fan: doughnuts, malasadas, pecan pie, guava cake, Marion berry pie--just to name a few. Anyway, I wanted to get him a dozen Dochi doughnuts as his birthday cake. What is special about these particular doughnuts is that they are made with mochi (Japanese for sweet rice flour). To be fair, ( I have only had 1/2 doughnut 1 time at a family party) they were pretty tasty & they must be so delicious that they sold out on this particular day. By the time I arrived, the gate was 1/2 way around the counter & they were closing shop. "Hi! I'm the one that phoned earlier & said I was coming for 2 dozen various," I said cheerfully. "We closed." "Oh! I thought you close at 5pm?" "We close early. No more doughnuts..." Ok. I was not a happy camper. During my commute home, I had griped on the phone to my son, & arrived home with no dessert of any kind. We had a wonderful celebration with family BBQ & thank goodness, my sis-in-law got a Marion berry pie! Here are their hours: Saturday 11AM-5PM Sunday 11AM-5PM Monday 11AM-4PM Tuesday 11AM-4PM Wednesday 11AM-4PM Thursday 11AM-4PM Friday 11AM-4PM To be fair, I will give them another try & will have to pick up during my lunch time. They are only open for 6 hours during the weekend & 5 hours during weekday. I'll keep you posted & change my rating of them accordingly... read more

The French cruller was light, airy, and melt-in-your-mouth good. The bacon maple bar? Sweet, smoky, and totally addictive. Whoever invented this combo deserves a medal. The old-fashioned had that perfect nostalgic flavor with a lightly crisp edge. And the apple fritter--crispy outside, soft inside, with just the right amount of cinnamon-spiced apple chunks. Next time I will just heat up the empanada at home to avoid this. I would return for the empanadas.
