Tried Doce Mesas out on October 26th and it was just ok. Having been to other restaurants within the Mcrowd group (Mi Cocina, Taco Diner) I expected similar quality. I was a little disappointed personally I think mi cocina and taco diner offer better quality for slightly less of a price. Good service though which is to be expected for a place like this. One of my biggest complaints is how few chips they give you for their salsa and queso and to add insult to injury their salsa wasn't spicy at all and queso was lukewarm maybe it was an off day but I hesitate to go back when Taco diner is just up the road. For me both the flan and the Blanca's enchiladas were pretty average and not worth the price. Perhaps the only thing I would go here for in the future is for drinks. read more

First time here all day on Saturday and we go try new place and we are really glad we did ! We decided to sit at the bar, which is a place we like to sit even though the entire restaurant was very well done loved the decor. He came and went to our area down to make sure it was nice and clean for us to sit there, then he proceeded to talk to us about the restaurant.! I had a very good Tequila selection, which is important to me because that's what I like to drink nice clean additive free tequilas. ' I proceeded to order a neat pour of Fortaleza which I love Blanco of course and then we also got a skinny Lalo. Margarita another delicious tequila. Both drinks were very good. We then moved on to ordering shrimp fajitas, which were absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. It came with rice and beans and we got flour and corn tortillas guacamole people de Gallo and then I ordered some special salsa cause I like hot salsa and you have to pay a little bit more for it but well worth it Scratch! Margaritas are awesome. I went with a girlfriend and we shared the carne asada tacos and the fish tacos. Food was great and the service was awesome. We sat inside as it was hot outside but we took a peek at the patio and it was really nice. Would love to come back and try the patio when it gets cooler. Went here for a family birthday and had a great experience. Loved our meals- the taco salad is so yummy!! It was pretty loud and we found it hard to hear each other across the table which is a bummer. And we felt like there were just a lot of loud noises (people setting down plates, and moving furniture that just felt like it echoed and was louder than normal) we told them we were celebrating birthdays and unfortunately they forgot to bring out something to celebrate until we had already gotten the check so the server said she was unable to bring anything. I had the fish special of the day and requested extra vegetables instead of rice. It was a generous portion and cooked perfectly. Margs we overly sweet and not a strong as the other location. The ceviche had 45% tomatoes, 45% avocado and 10% shrimp. Very very bland, This usually fills us up, but we ordered the carnitas tacos. I had not expected to go here. It was just a weekday lunch On the go. I started to go with ordering the counter type lunch food, but drove through the same parking lot to get a beautiful table in an outdoor sunshine courtyard with great service, delicious food and even chef coming out to check on things. My leftovers got packed and chef sent me a tasting of the Tres leches cake. For lunch it was probably not much more money than going to the counter order place. Both are good but for my money I'd rather get lunch where I was today. Such a pleasant experience. read more

My husband and I decided to try this place (very close to home). We are in the 58-62 age range, and while this place is very spacious with plenty of seating, clean, and trendy.... I, personally don't care for that when I visit a restaurant. I also don't like the chairs - they are not comfortable for sitting at the table and eating (they are better to lounge in). PLEASE get some better chairs! The vibe and music is a little too night-club-ish for my taste, but it has a nice bar sitting area so I guess the younger crowd would like this. The food was quite good and tasty - I wish they served their salsas in large dishes rather than those tiny square condiment dishes. The chips are thick and commercial-tasting and not authentically thin and crispy (I've had better at Uncle Julio's). My husband's mole enchiladas were terrific (according to him), and my carnitas taco was great! The light cabbage slaw was great, too. I didn't care for my cheese enchilada with chili topping (waaay too salty!). Rice was meh. Staff was not very warm and welcoming - fitting for that night-club vibe. Overall, it was an ok experience, but I wouldn't want to sit inside again due to the sterile, clubbish ambiance... I'd prefer to sit outside in their garden area (maybe next time). read more
