It was an 'okay' bar. I think what makes us NOT want to go back is the amount of fruit flies there were in the den area. We sat near that area because it was the only TV that had sound. As for our Nachos, it came out really fast! Not a fan either, the cheese was definitely canned and not good. The meat was okay. Chips already were soggy from the cheese. I came here all the time a while back and loved it! I went a couple days ago and it was not worth it. The wings weren't flavored and a couple of us got water with their meal which you had to get on your own. They didn't serve water to the table. What kind of service is that? Would probably come back with a group for some sort of sports event but wouldn't recommend coming here for a meal by itself. Even on a random week day at an awkward time with no major AZ sports happening, the place being very low traffick on the inside, the parking lot was still a mess. Didn't make any sense. While finding a parking spot, I'm thinking that I'm walking into a shitshow. NOPE. Near empty. Puzzling. Overall, decent local sports bar. Got darts, pool, TVs, tons of tables, and bar food. So I started going here many many years ago. A bunch of my friends and I would come here for the UFC fights. The food was good then and they had a ton of TVs. After the fire I hadn't been back til just the other day. It looks amazing inside, way more TVs, and the food is insane! I have now been here twice in 3 days. The Tempe Turkey Melt is great! Good amount of meat, the green Chile is so good, pepper Jack cheese and the bread is toasted. I went with the tater tots as my side and those were perfectly crispy. The crispy chicken buffalo sandwich was on point as well. The chicken is lightly friend and doesn't taste like those dirty deep friend chicken sandwiches. I have known of Doc & Eddys for years and years although, admittedly, I have never visited. We came up to meet for a few drinks, watch the Masters and enjoy some happy hour. I am not sure of the specials although I did notice $1 off during happy hour on the menu. At first glance, in the door, I thought it was a bit dicey and where it is, I suppose a better description would be "comfortable" environment. As a woman on the smaller side, it is a bit cold inside so a throw or hoodie just to have would have been a good idea... Even though it's like 90 degrees or something outside. There is a smoking patio which is nice for the smokers and literally a number of things to do. I was a bit skeptical in looking at the menu since I only saw a few veggie options that weren't deep fried. I likely wouldn't recommend this place to eat for any vegetarian folk. Grilled cheese and a veggie wrap the just didn't stand out to me. I went with the shrimp tacos with a side of slaw. I was remarkably surprised. It my have been the best taco I have had in a minute. Something about the saw and the batter on the shrimp. I have no idea, just some small street style tacos, perfectly filled. I could go for a few more but I will hold off. The slaw was obviously made here as well. Not necessarily my fave but still good. Heavier on mayo and less vinegar than i would personally do but I am a KFC slaw lover, not Popeyes and there is def a difference. A bit of salt and pepper and I was good to go. I wouldn't refuse coming back with the boys for the tacos alone. Our server is kind and has visited us frequent enough. In an effort to find another great happy hour spot, decided to try Doc & Eddys based on a friend's recommendation. First off, this place is not easy to find. The entrance seems to imply that it is a happy hour destination. IT IS NOT! The happy hour special is a mere 50 cents off beer and wine. No food specials. NOT much of a happy hour. To add to our experience, our waiter was extremely rude and abrupt. He seemed upset when answering questions and didn't really care when asking if we needed anything. We ordered 2 appetizers, the southwestern dip and the wings. The dip was so thin it was difficult to dip with the chips. And the taste was - bleh. The wings were acceptable. Overall a negative experience with no plans to return. Save your money and find a better spot. Food, prices and uncaring wait staff were definite turn offs. read more

I am sooooo happy my favorite bar was able to rise from the ashes finally!!!! Same layout and vibes but now everything is modern and even more tv's! The food tastes even better than before especially the nachos and chili relleno appitizers. They have protocols for covid so everyone is nicely spaced out and now the menu is on your phone! They still have the amazing happy hour 11-7 Monday-friday which makes me so happy. I was a regular here through the fire, through getting sober, and have taken several dates there had meals tipped well etc. Tonight I was asked to leave because I wouldn't buy a drink. They said the 1$ pool game I was playing for free constituted being asked to leave. I was offered a deal where I'd pay the waitress and get to stay. This is an older review it was awhile ago that we came here the fights that night. $10.00 per person to get in and seated which really isn't to bad Lots of tables and lots of large TVs all over the place. We started with Pretzels they were really good and came with honey mustard sauce. They give you three small Pretzels so we ordered two more orders of them. They were hot and soft and yummy. We then ordered wings for the rest of the group but I had the cheese steak. My family stated the wings were very good, but I have to be careful with spicy food so I didn't have any. The service was very good especially since they were really busy with the place packed for the fights. We all had a great time with good food and drinks. read more

Last night I stopped by to pick up dinner I ordered two cheeseburgers, cooked medium and grilled chicken wings. While I waited I had a glass of wine. Service was good however When the waitress gave me my tab she automatically had the tip at 20%. Even though she did not serve me anything All she did was take my phone order and bring out my food ( Greedy). When I got home I realize that the cheeseburgers were chard, over cooked, one did not have any cheese and my chicken wings were inedible because they were chard as well. Not the first time this has happened. have spoken to the staff about this and I thought it had been resolved. Unfortunately my food yesterday was awful. Met family for some drinks at this establishment and although I wasn't drinking I picked up the tab. When the server, Rachel provided me the electronic handheld card machine it was already on the tip screen and she had marked it to 20%. I think that's rude but left it and signed the screen. As I was driving home I got to thinking out how expensive the drinks were. Mind you we only had 5 beverages one being a soda and one being a bud light which could not have been $10 each. So once I got home I looked at my email and noticed she had 3 more beers on the bill that were not ours. Although this could have been an honest mistake I don't think it was and shame on me for not checking the detail tab sooner. But, I was trying to be discrete and pay for my cousins before everyone pulls out their card to pay. Not to self look at the receipt before paying on those electronic devices. I never write bad reviews but I'm just blown away that we've asked multiple servers and no one will help us. The chicken tenders were perfect and crunchy and the fries were amazing with that gritty, seasoned texture. Also - the ranch. DOC&EDDY'S HAS THE BEST RANCH. It is hard to find yummy, homemade tasting ranch and let me tell ya, these guys have it. I would go back just for the ranch. The nachos are also yummy, and they are HUGE. Great for sharing! The service was very attentive and quick. This bar has a million TVs so it's great if you have a game to watch! They also have a bunch of games and pool tables, so there's something for everyone. Wow! This place is incredible! Not only did I have he best night of my life here, I played the best game of darts of my life! They poured my drinks so strong! And the waiter Ken was unforgettable! Such a personality! I will be here every Thursday night till the day I die! If I could add six stars I would do it They have multiple machines. Including a change machine (currently out of order) and a Jäger machine that makes the shot glass as frosty as Wendy's. Seriously though. This is a great place to be.
