I love this place! Me and my husband go out to dinner here twice a month . We used to come here all the time when we were big drinkers, and the bar tenders would always remember us and poor drink strong.. Now that we are two years, alcohol free we still come in here and get treated just as wonderfully as we did before ! They have incredibly good food, large portions and I think what makes them stand apart from the rest. Is they have the same staff that continues to work there year after year... I feel like that shows you that they really don't want to take care of their employees. They always remember me and my husband and make sure to say hello when we walk in and let me tell you the chicken wraps are the best thing on the menu . My friend has raved about this location, and she had her "Going Away" shindig here as she is moving to Texas. She had the event on a Friday before Christmas on the patio. It was quite busy, and though I prefer the patio for a quieter atmosphere, the smoke of others smoking really dampened the environment. Smoke while eating is very off putting, but I understand that the patio is intended for those that smoke. Our server was very busy, and possibly the only one for the whole patio. Despite that, he was pretty friendly and we remained patient to order food. And surprisingly, they have pretty good food for a bar & grill. I've driven by Bogey's a billion times and always wanted to try it out. I'm so glad I finally dropped in! As soon as I walked through the entrance, I already liked the place. The old school, dark decor and big, comfy booths caught my eye right away. The menu offers a large variety of sports-bar-type food, and my friend and I loved everything we tried (Waffle fries! Veggie burger options! Church Music on tap!). There are TVS all around the place for sports viewing, pool tables, a huge bar, tables for larger parties, a covered patio, and clean bathrooms. This place was ok to catch a game at, but probably wouldn't go back. Headed here with a friend to watch an ASU game, was disappointed that they did not have any game day specials like some of the other bars around town. Took a while to get waited on once we sat down, the waitress was friendly and kept the drinks coming so that was a plus. It wasn't jam packed either, I'd say there was a moderate amount of people there, so that made it better to be able to watch the game without a ton of extra noise. Drink prices were decent as well, but like I mentioned, nothing on special for college game day so probably wouldn't go back for that reason. There are other sports bars in town that target college football fans with various specials, I'd recommend hitting up one of those places if you're trying to catch a game. read more

So after asking, an employee that was off the clock, (apparently), stated that someone performing at the Super Bowl was a "f*ggot" very loudly where tables were in the vicinity and were visibly uncomfortable. Stopped in for drinks with a friend after shopping. We were seated right away and had great service. This is definitely a place we've pinned to return to. We ordered a Caesar salad, fried zucchini, garlic herb fries, spicy shrimp and pot stickers. I also ordered a mango margarita that I enjoyed. All of the food was delicious. This is beyond outrageous. The manager Emily at bogeys comes to our table of where I and two other friends were sitting after being there for one hour and informed us that we were rude. We never were able to order food, my two friends got their drinks within 15 mins, dirty table, ask for it to be clean. But no response until the fourth request. 35 minute later my Diet Coke never arrived. So I went to the bar to get my Diet Coke after asking twice for my drink. The manager, Emily filled up my drink. I asked Emily as I am a DD for my friends. Is my Diet Coke free. She looked at me like I was crazy. I didn't have an issue paying for it, but I thought I would ask because a lot of bars give free soda for the DD. The server proceeded to announce very loud to the whole room of Iowa State alumni party, they arrived one hour too soon and they needed to bear with her and have patience. Since when does someone arrive too early at a bar? We had absolutely no contact with this woman and she proceeded to send over the manager to say that we are being very hostile. We've said nothing -done nothing. After saying nothing the manager informed us that if we didn't behave, they were going to kick us out. I said since I'm not wanted here, I will leave. And I did. Simply outrageous and we will never attend or go to bogeys ever. I'd really like to talk to the owner of this bar because I find it hard to believe that anyone in the service industry, including a manager should ever behave that way. Close to my office, so I grab lunch there once in a while. I've also had some late-night wings there! Decent beer selection. The food is really good. wings, sandwiches, burgers, flatbreads, fish and chips ... the typical pub fare, but done very well. Bogey's has been a go-to spot for me for years. Part of that time, Bogey's became the spot where we gathered to watch Iowa State games the official home of the Iowa State Alumni of Phoenix club. There are plenty of TVs to catch the game on, even on the patio. The 'Back Nine' event room is great for groups and special events. Food: My go-to's are the Bucket of Balls, wings and the serrano chicken sandwich. Note: I noticed another Iowa State alum ranting on here about their experience. I was at the same event and have no idea what this person is rambling about. Sounds like they struggle with offering patience for servers taking care of large groups of people who arrive all at one time. I would encourage this person to be more patient and respectful when representing their alma mater at Iowa State events. read more

Very reasonable prices (for the most part -- $10.95 for fried pickles and $9.50 for onion rings is excessive). Great service. Friendly regulars. Nice they have half-sized salads. This is no longer. I have been a loyal customer for years. 2025 struck this bar. My waitress admitted to throwing away my food when I wasn't done. She confirms she seen the burger and was on auto pilot to just clear the table. I told her about the situation and she brought it up to her manager. Her manager said "you said it was okay to take the food." I replied I was in the restroom, and the people at my table did not confirm this. She was very passive and seemed under the influence of alcohol. She was not kind or nice and tried to blame me for her teams mistake. She was very mean and rude with a, "talking down on you tone." I did mention to her, her response to me was very off putting and "why are you angry with me?" She never apologized and walked off to hangout with another group she is entertaining. I have come here multiple times and spent 61.00 for my meal today. And for it be throw away is careless and not customer friendly. In the end after being "accused ," and "punished verbally." They decided to make me a burger, as a replacement. I definitely did not feel comfortable as a person of color here or a customer. Be cautious and don't let them treat you with disrespect. I over heard their conversation and they are not for the customer but against "you." You won't see me here again. What a disappointment. This was a good spot. I hope, COACH sees this post. We found this place looking for a bar open early for Sunday football and stopped in to watch a game. We sat at the bar and the bartender was really nice but said he couldn't change any of the TVs to my game because they had to wait to see who all came in. The TVs each had a set game that they were supposed to be playing. Alright, I get it. We ordered a few beers and a side of bacon. We weren't too hungry and I bacon just sounded really good to me. They cooked it just like I asked, extra crispy. Someone next to us got their hangover special which is an order of hot wings on a bed of fries. The wings smelled amazing and looked good. We drank of beers and left to find another bar that would be playing my game. We have gone to Bogeys quite a few times and I will say Travis the one bar tender is very cool and fun to talk to. Grace who is another bar tender is also very cool and fun to talk to. With that said, we have decided to stop going there because for one the owner, short blond lady, is very unapproachable and always seems to be in a bad mood. She doesn't greet anyone and gives off the vibe that you're not welcome, which is strange since she owns a bar. Today(Sunday) we came in for a drink and wanted to get breakfast but the bar tender on duty was very depressing and uncommunicative and Just had nothing to say other than negative things. It was honestly uncomfortable so we left after one drink. They do have amazing wings but that is all I can say that is good about that place beyond Travis and Grace. Having a Sunday off and wanting to chill and have fun early you would expect a bar that opens at nine would be fun, but this bar is not. The atmosphere was stagnant and just felt awkward. Second time we have been here. Neighborhood place with excellent food and plenty of choices for cold draft beer. Bartender was our waitress and she was great. Took our drink orders right away. Food arrived quickly and was very good. We had the caprese salad and we split the fish and chips. Portion sizes were good sized. Reasonably priced also.
