Great experience with DKI! DKI assisted me in a comprehensive remodel of my condo after a large sewage leak. Tony and the team did a terrific job both in the actual repairs as well as explaining the entire process. Tony, the company president, became actively involved after my designer brougt soe unusual homeowners insurance issues to him. Everyone at DKI was engaged and understanding until this stressful situation was resolved. They were also incredibly creative in providing options that would match my taste to the insurance dollar amount provided to fix, and giving me "no cost" and "some upcharge" options to help me stretch my dollar. I could not be happier with the results. Thank you DKI.

After our shower was diagnosed with a leak and had to get completely demoed, DKI Restotech came in and built our new bathroom from the ground (literally) up! They showed much respect while in our home and cleaned up after each day before leaving. The quality of their work is top notch level, and we are so happy with our new beautiful bathroom!

Beautiful kitchen renovated by DKI restoration company.

DKI restoration helped us through the entire process. From cleaning the water damage and mold to complete renovate our kitchen. I was to thank the entire staff for their hard work. I want to mention name of the staff who helped us from the start to finish. Arash the owner, he answered his phone to help 24/7. Robert clean the water damage area, Masoud was there daily to make sure project is on track and on time. Ramin who managed to install the back splash and finally Mohsen and his crew who finished the project from the cabinets, counter top and the rest. This company is top notch and definitely I recommend them for any type of renovation.

Roberto and the crew came out that same day and began work to dry and fix all the water damage. We have a new baby with respiratory issues and was very worried about tje situation. But, the guys did a great job isolating and containing the areas they were working on to avoid any dust and debris. They were all friendly, efficient, and very considerate to our needs. We really appreciate their professionalism. A few days later they did a final inspection to ensure there was no more moisture and by the end of the weekend everything was repaired as if nothing happened. The Restoration 1 team did an amazing job and so thankful for their quick and immediate response. They are truly the team to call when in need and highly recommend them Thank you so much to Janny and the Restoration 1 family!

My experience with Restoration 1 of Irvine during a water damage claim was extremely stressful, and…read moreI think other homeowners should understand what can happen in situations like this. Key facts from my project * Initial estimate tied to my work authorization: $16,653.79 * Invoices later submitted by the contractor ran this up to $50k+ * Those invoices were only for mitigation and demolition work * The entire reconstruction of the damaged areas of my home ultimately cost around $60k * A mechanic's lien was filed against my home during the dispute * I received zero phone calls with any management at the company throughout my engagement. All communication was initiated by me. After a plumbing leak at my home, Restoration 1 began mitigation work and had me sign a Work Authorization tied to the $16,653.79 estimate. Because this was my first insurance claim, I relied on them to guide the process and work with my insurance company. What I later realized is that I never signed a proper home improvement contract outlining the scope of work, pricing, payment terms, timeline, cancellation rights, or lien disclosures. The only document I signed was a Work Authorization. As the project progressed, the invoices escalated dramatically. By the end of the job, Restoration 1 of Irvine submitted invoices totaling $50k+. It's important to understand that this amount was only for demolition and drying work. The entire reconstruction of the damaged areas of my home ultimately cost around $60k, so the mitigation invoices alone were nearly the cost of rebuilding the damage itself. Their documentation states that if the scope of work changes, the homeowner will be notified before work continues. In practice, I was consulted on only two scope changes during the entire project. When my insurance company (State Farm) reviewed the invoices, they disputed a large portion of the charges as excessive. After months of review, the final amount paid ended up much closer to the original estimate than the $50k+ invoices that had been submitted. During the dispute I began receiving increasingly aggressive payment emails demanding payment directly from me, and Restoration 1 eventually filed a mechanic's lien against my home while the insurance review was still ongoing. For someone who has always paid their bills and maintains an 841 credit score, being treated like a delinquent customer was extremely frustrating. One thing I learned from this experience is that during insurance restoration work there can be a large difference between what a contractor bills and what insurance ultimately approves. If a homeowner pays the contractor first out of panic, recovering that difference from insurance can become the homeowner's responsibility. I'm sharing this experience so other homeowners dealing with water damage or insurance claims can make an informed decision before hiring this company.

The reconstruction was subcontracted out to a GC who I was very impressed with. He was punctual nice and very easy to work with (Pashall construction). My only complaint was that it was not well communicated when he was coming out, however I was happy they arrived. I was very impressed with their work. I also wanted to note that I worked with Bobbi Turrey to finalize the invoice for construction. She was super responsive and a consummate professional. She really made us feel like she cared about putting our home back together. Any minor issues that I was unhappy with she rectified immediately and was very patient with me while I asked her literally hundreds of questions. EHS made a stressful situation less stressful. I cannot say the same for my insurance so I'm glad I had them on my side. They are in a complicated and difficult industry that I have experience in and I can wholeheartedly say they shine.

I truly believed I had found my go to company for emergency as well non-emergency needs.   Though the work itself was alright, the way the lackluster communication we experienced was disappointing to say the least. This was a surprising new experience through the company as the first couple emergency repair projects went smoothly. This time, for a construction job, many things went poorly. After lot of charged back and forth the issues were addressed and rectified but not in a professional manner. Pros : quality work for the most part, timely completion of the project, competitive rates.   Cons : Communication, professionalism, ambiguity. Anthony Michal spent very little time to come by and gather the scope of work. Every interaction with the company felt rushed. We did not think of it much at the time as we trusted them already through their previous work. 911 hired an independent contractor, Victor, to do the work requested. Upon initiation of the work, we realized there is a significant communication gap between what was agreed on v/s what was communicated. Anything we found missing from the quote was preliminarily assured to be included through text. However, Victor came and began his work with some scope missing. We had to rehash the scope over again and again, which should not be happening. There was never a 3-way discussion between Anthony, Victor, and us, preventing us all from being on the same page. Anthony did promptly reply to texts, however there was minimal presence past the estimating stage which left the project's streamlining sorely lacking.   The thing which bothered us the most was hounding us for payment from Day 1. Per California Law, we are expected to pay 10% deposit and settle the invoice upon completion. Them being a small company, we mutually agreed to make payments in phases. However despite this good faith showing, the way payment was demanded, we were treated as though we were in default for months and have been missing out on payments. There were miscommunications regarding the amount to send day over day on our end, but we did not appreciate the tone. We were told that the big boss is angry with us which is hilariously unprofessional. Nevertheless, the whole invoice was cleared at the end of the project.   I hope they take the communication part seriously as the work performed was good at the end of the day!

Been meaning to write this review for a long time, but you know, forgot. Luckily Yelp has a whole…read morelist of reviews I started but didn't finish! I typically do wait a little bit after service to write reviews, just in case something happens. And something that leads to me clicking extra hard on that 5th star... well, the owner reached out for a review, and reminded me once after and said he wouldn't pester me with it again. And sure enough he didn't. So that was cool. But to the real review.... my rental had some tenants who didn't report a leak for months apparently, since they were hiding a cat and didn't want me to come and fix things and see the cat. Long story short, I had to tear down 2 of the 4 walls of a bathroom and an entire wall of pantry cabinets in the kitchen on the other side of the bathroom. Mold was completely black! Needless to say, I really wanted to have this fixed ASAP! And of all the "911" or "emergency" or "fix it right away" type of remediation companies... they all did something similar except 911 Restoration. They all urgently booked a "free estimate", then take a day to send a quote. Then almost all were weeks out to schedule it except for two who can start "immediately". However, they would have to do all these "tests" to get started. 911 wasn't the cheapest, but their quoting agent was very nice, thorough, and most professional sounding. Like, he could've been a sales guy for jet engines not just another contractor. Felt very formal and courteous. In any case, when they say they can start right away, they did. Came out and started demoing the next day after I decided to go with them and sent them a deposit. And while they weren't the cheapest, they did do a bit more than the other guys (had them all itemize what they'd do) and for the common work, they were willing to price match it and did a discount on other areas where they could. They weren't too far off to begin with. Some folks tacked on contingency charges and it felt like hidden fees. 911's quote was straight forward. In the end, when you want something like this addressed, you want it done right. They not only did it right, but felt confident of their work and both the project manager and the workers were all courteous and professional. If there's a lesson to be learned....better declare that friggin cat. Kiss that deposit good bye! *sigh*
