I had a great initial experience with Cody and Joel. They were on time, informative, respectful and timely with their proposal. Cody also was extremely responsive when I had a follow up question which I really appreciated. The in office staff was pretty good at calling and getting back to me. The issues I had were with Ellias (not sure if I'm spelling that correctly). He came with a young guy and began by moving my built in cabinets. One of which they dropped and broke (they never mentioned breaking it to me even after a day and a half and didn't list it on their notes to the company). The second day of service I was told they would be late which was no problem..but then only the younger guy showed up. After his lunch break he asked if Ellias still hadn't shown up (he hadn't). Not only did he not inform his co-worker, but he didn't inform me or his managers that he wasn't showing up. After calling in he showed up 45 minutes later (about 6 hours late at that point). This extends the time of the job by hours since he wasn't there to assist his co-worker. At the end he tells me someone would be there with equipment in an hour. 2 hours later no one shows up and then I get a call from the call center saying they've been calling me and can't find the place (they were apparently calling the wrong number). I was waving at the truck from my driveway and they still couldn't see me. The next time Ellias was set to come he called to say he was there 45 minutes early of the start of the 3-5 window and I say I'm not home but when will he actually be there and I'll try to make it work and he told me 2:30pm. I sped home to meet him (see the truck already there 2:20), walk in to put my baby to sleep and run downstairs when he obsessively rings the doorbell about 6 times in a row at exactly 2:30 and then when I answer says "Oh you're here". Then I called to see what was happening with the repair of my cabinet and was told they don't know who will be paying for it so don't know if they will be repairing it but gave me another window I have to sit around for with some guy looking to "inspect" it. As a single mother with 3 jobs this is the last thing I need to be doing. I never leave reviews but I am so horrified at the unprofessionalism and shitty service. I will NEVER go through ServiceFirst again and recommend everyone against it. EDIT to ADD: I really did not appreciate a phone call an hour after my posted review from Austin (could have the name wrong since I was heading to work in traffic due to the incompetency of the ServiceFirst employees). He wanted to make excuses for Ellias being late in that his car broke down. Valid excuse of course but there is no reason for this not to be communicated in the 6 hours he should have been at my house. If say their next excuse is he had no phone...no reason his coworker shouldn't have called the company to inform them that their employee hadn't shown at which time they could have sent someone else or at the very least let me know what was going on...or potentially let me reschedule since a 1/2 project with 2 people is going to take twice as long with only one. Common courtesy, professionalism and decency are characteristics this company is obviously lacking. But honestly I don't even know if I can believe anything that comes from Elias since he didn't even have the decency to own up to breaking my cabinet..who knows if his car even did break down. Also not great customer service when they call you right after a bad review to start making excuses instead of apologizing for their mistakes and addressing your very real concerns. Five star reviews where everything is perfect are wonderful. However, the true test of a company is how they respond when things don't go as planned. We had a leak in one bathroom due to a bad overflow valve in the tub which also prompted us to fix an old leak in another room that ended up having dead mold. This resulted in two claims to insurance. This happened in mid February and my insurance broker recommended I call ServiceFirst. They came out quickly to inspect and recommended a plumber that could tear down drywall who also came out quickly. I was impressed with the estimate I received digitally which linked to pictures and details of what would happen next. This was also easily made available to my homeowners insurance. While we were waiting for insurance to approve the repairs, the mitigation started and they removed the dead mold and tested for asbestos. Secondary inspections by the contracting staff at ServiceFIrst were made and recommendations for restoration were made. My wife and I also were given time to consider upgrades. Again, additional paperwork was sent digitally with estimates for the restoration and upgrades. Then COVID hit. While ServiceFirst was willing to come in and begin work, my wife was not too keen on starting so work was delayed. Finally, when she felt ready to start, there were some delays with the third party plumber. So we finally started work three months later beginning with the plumber who had to demo, cut some drywall and pull out and replace the bathtubs. Then ServiceFirst's subcontractor came in to repair and replace drywall, replace the vanity, add mirrors and lights, replace outlets and switches, carpet, repaint and retile and install the fixtures. They did a great job as the bathrooms look so much better and don't leak. Regarding the paperwork, I'm not sure if it's industry standard, but the documentation is very transparent with the per cost listed and appears to be following some recommended insurance guidelines. I was especially thankful for the supervising contractor, Caesar, who was in charge of making sure all the repairs and upgrades were being performed to our standards and helped us understand why certain thing should be done certain ways. I could reach him almost anytime via text. He was helpful in recommending certain upgrades that would save us money. He was very patient when we changed our minds on the restoration/upgrades, and made life easier for us by facilitating communication with the subcontracting team. When things were not quite right, he made sure it was corrected. Also when we began the process it wasn't clear to me that insurance required that we file two claims. Caesar took the difficult job of separating these two claims to the satisfactory of my insurance provider. The communication from ServiceFirst is/was great, and I did not hear from the billing department until late in the process. Kandice was also helpful in making sure everything was proceeding smoothly. And Yesenia helped resubmit the invoice to insurance. I also received a call from Donna who requested feedback on their performance which is nice to see in a company that cares about how they are perceived by the customer. There are still a few things we are waiting for insurance to approve, but I am sure these will be resolved soon. Thank you, ServiceFirst! read more

Service First came to our rescue in a hurry when we had our water leak. Devin was great. He immediately developed a good understanding of how widespread our water damage was and helped us to understand our situation and our options. He recommended that we file an insurance claim right away. Nathan and Diego swung into work getting plastic up to separate us from the workers and to make us feel safe during the pandemic with all of the work that was to ensue. Nathan had the dehumidifiers going right away and we are sure that helped to keep the damage from getting worse. Devin and Kandice coordinated rapidly and professionally to get PW Stephens in with Enviro Check to determine our asbestos situation. Andy at PWS was especially professional to work with. Service First has relationships with some excellent companies, and CRC were on time and amazingly industrious in getting our belongings packed out to our garage and protected. The demolition was done efficiently by PWS and the site was ready for the insurance adjuster's estimate. There was a large difference between the adjuster's first estimate and that of Service First, but Caesar was excellent. He reassured us that he would take care of the negotiations with the insurance company and indeed, they came to an agreement fairly quickly, with any delay being on the part of the insurance company. The craftsmen from Service First did an excellent job in the rebuild. Jose was amazing with the drywall, the wood flooring and putting in new tile around the bathtub. Gerardo's paint work is excellent and Jaime and Miguel did outstanding work with replacing our (many) cabinet boxes and matching the wood with our drawers and cabinet doors, which are fairly high quality, so the workmanship needed to be excellent, and it was. Throughout the whole rebuild project, Kandice was a professional and reliable source of contact for any and all questions that we had, and throughout the process of clarifying for us the details of the various line items on the Scope of Work. She communicated really effectively with the various craftsmen to be sure that our needs and desires were completely met. She is a real asset to the company. As all of the staff of Service First told us at the beginning and throughout the project, their goal is to return our home to the same exact quality it was in before the water spill. That was their goal, and that is exactly what they have delivered. We will recommend Service First to anyone who has a restoration need. read more

Conversations and scheduling over the phone with Gianne were always polite and easy. Ricardo and Ivan gave a courtesy call and showed up on time. Great workmanship. They protected my floors, walls, and property from damage while they worked, and cleaned up after themselves. Both men listened, were easy to talk to, and accomodating. The consideration to create a workpath to ensure we were able to have an available restroom was great. Whether they were shopping for material, about to make a lot of noise, or going out to lunch, both men informed us beforehand, letting us know what to expect every step of the way. In the end, the ceiling work they did around my skylight was high quality. Both men were bilingual which may be a plus for some people. Above all they conducted themselves with professionalism, and I appreciated that, as I have a full house, all day, with many kids and a wife. People invest good money and expect value. My experience was that I got that with these people. What was also a bonus to me was that after milestone goals were acheived, I had an opportunity to view the work that had been performed to see the progression. Ricardo answered all my questions and was kind enough to share some of his field knowledge, which I added to my own. Ivan and Ricardo, thank you for working safe and repairing our ceiling with efficiency, a seamless finish, and unified appearance. One thing I recommend to any client expecting service from anyone is: "Do Your Part". Even though sales and service people may be kind enough to go the extra mile and help with things that are not their responsibility or what they were hired & paid to do. Complicating or frustrating a situation can lead to unmotivation, mistakes, and low quality results. I have nothing but good things to say about this company. I have used them now for the second time because my 1st experience with this company on a whole was very positive and they will be who I call if I ever need future help - I just hope I don't need it :) if you know what I mean. From the people who answer the phones in the office (they are polite, professional and very organized). I spoke with Nick and he was always very accommodating and responsive. Bill assessed my damages both times I needed services for two separate issues and answered all my questions leaving me feeling very confident both in his knowledge of the work that needed to be done and in the company he works for. Then of course comes the day that the work is being done each time. And I have overseen and interacted with three separate teams from this group. All professional workers that seemed to take great pride in there craft. The work was great and they left my home as if no one had ever been there. Except for the smell of paint - but that can't be helped. The second time I needed help was only for some very minor repairs in the master bathroom and a new guy (only 2 weeks with the company -Chris) was sent to complete the work. Not only was his work good but Bill even came to inspect his work as well (to my guess Bill did this to ensure that the work Chris did represents the quality this company wants to ensure to its customers). This only gave me reassurance in the pride this company has and to the quality workers they hire. So in short, I would not hesitate to use this company again if ever there is a need and I hope that anyone reading this msg finds this helpful as I myself rely on the feedback of others when researching services wether is restaurants choices, lawn service or plumping and restoration you get my point. My husband and I hired Servicefirst Restoration after a pipe leak in a wall of our 2 year old's bedroom. They arrived shortly after the plumber left and immediately explained the procedure that was going to be involved. They were very thorough and organized and took me step-by-step of what to expect. Then the rep of my insurance company showed up with his measuring tape, clipboard and one hundred questions. When I got the itemized insurance quote, Christian from Servicefirst noticed he short-changed me on over $300 worth of repair and took the time to contact them and correct the discrepancy. My husband and I got an additional check for over $300 the following week. Servicefirst worked almost as a liaison between my insucance company and me and were experts in the ins-and-outs of the insurance world. The work Servicefirst did was phenomenal! You would never know that wall had any repair to it and the baseboards look better now than they did prior to the leak! All their staff, from the initial contact, to the drying, to the painters were all on time and courteous. When my insurance rep contacted me to inform me of the additional check I was going to get, I asked HIS opinion of Servicefirst because I was interested in hiring them for other work besides the leak mitigation. He said they were a good company and their calculations on the repair was correct. This was the first time I've ever had a leak or anything where insurance had to get involved and I must say given the circumstances, it was a very positive experience. Nothing prepares you for a disaster in your home. So when our downstairs got flooded we were overwhelmed. Right from the time Edgar from Service First entered our home he was nothing short of excellent. He advised us in detail on what needed to be done. Having never been exposed to a disaster of such kind, I had a lot of questions (and I'm sure many stupid ones). Edgar patiently answered all my questions and took care of what needed to be done. Working with Edgar took away some of our stress. He always called me before he went into the house and when he left. He was meticulous with everything he did......from detailed explanations, updates, feedback, coordination, clean up etc. He did everything with a patient and professional demeanor. A pipe from a neighbor above me had been leaking and caused water damage between the walls of my condo and another owner's. After my HOA getting an estimate from them and another company, they went with ServiceFirst. Shelving, drywall and baseboard had to be cut out to get to the pipe. ServiceFirst did drywall replacement and painting. James did an excellent job in replacing the drywall behind the shelving that was removed and in a hallway. He installed and blended the removed part of the round corner bead perfectly. Nelson came that next day and did a very professional job of painting. It matches the custom color perfectly. Both men were careful to lay out tarps where they worked (very nice since I had mopped before they came), took all their trash, cleaned and did not dump the dirty water in bath or sink (to avoid clogs). They also worked as a team: 1. James left Nelson a sample of some dried paint from the drywall. 2. Nelson went ahead and first removed all the plug faceplates, removed the baseboard, painted the whole wall and, as a favor, around the corner to the next small wall to cover a mismatched paint job I had attempted. He also delivered and left a baseboard samples for the next team to find and match the custom baseboard ahead of time. It's nice to see a company thinking as a team. We had a disaster at our home, when a pipe cracked and leaked into the wall, causing the wall to turn black with mildew and mould. Our first meeting with First Service, helped to relieve our despair. From Wagner and Jeff, Who I did the repair of the pipe, together with Caesar. Junior was called to come and assess the damage, and Bill to schedule the repairs, along with assess what was needed. As a result the following people were involved in the job to get our home back to where it should be , and for whom we are so very great full for doing a wonderful Job. Eric and Dylan, for taking the walls down, all the mould and mildew away, and starting the drying out process in our house. Once dry, the team that came in were amazing, so skilled, polite and clean and knowledgeable. Wagner, Jesus, Juan Carlos, James and Martin, you were all 5 star. Our cabinets all needed to be rebuilt, and stained to match existing units in the room, Ivan, what an amazing and meticulous job he did! The work was done in the time frame projected. Our home is back to normal, and everything looks fabulous. If by chance I haven[t mentioned someone who came out and helped us, Please know it wasn't intentional. You were all wonderful.
