I had water damage. I called Pristine Plumbing, they recommended RH. I never filed a homeowner ins claim, Carlos helped help massively explaining and walking me through everything. Eventhought the ins denied my claim. Carlos (and the RH team behind him) continue to argue on mt behalf and the ins still wouldnt over turn their decision. Carlos and the RH team worked with me the best they came to help with mitigation only. The rebuilding and reconstruction is being done by their sister compnay EagleEye. Earlier in the year we had some water damage take out our bathroom and bedroom and we were pretty much at a loss on the next steps forward. When we called our plumbing company to tell us what was up, they referred us to Restoration Heroes, and essentially recommended them over a couple alternatives I'd already scheduled to come in. As it turned out, I'm so glad they did, as I couldn't imagine how things would have played out without them. Edgar Sanchez, their project manager, came to take a look at our house the day after we'd called, inspected the damage, and pretty much assured us they could handle all our needs. And perhaps most importantly, he sat down with us to explain every relevant detail about what was going on and how the remediation and repair process would look like. Given we were really new to any type of home damage and subsequent fix, this information and reassurance meant everything to us, particularly when it came to working with insurance, as we had no idea how we'd be able to get what we needed to get squared - and we had even less of an idea of the type of communications required to make sure things went smoothly. Edgar and his team were in constant contact with insurance and in the meantime, were getting the work done that to get cleaned up, dried out, and ready to go for rebuild. What I think stood out to me the most, though, was that Edgar really emphasized that he just wanted us to get what we needed, and he took a LOT of time out of his schedule to talk with me pretty much every time I had questions. There were a couple junctures early on where I could have gone with a different company and he pretty much let me know that was totally ok, but he'd still be around to help us land safely with whomever we chose to go with. His brand of empathy and wanting to do right by the clients was what helped me choose RH, and I'm glad that I did! As for a couple of the other teammates, I'd also like to thank Ziena/Meddy for bridging the communication (I got daily updates on everything going on) and also Jose Bermudez, a tech who took some extra time even after the job was done to just tidy up and make things easier on us. Thank you so much Restoration Heroes for taking care of us on two projects. The first huge project at our rental was water damage from a burst pipe which required repairs in the kitchen and bathroom. This was a huge endeavor that RH took care of very quickly, but the whole process took a long time because of insurance issues with the HOA, the HOA's insurance, and our personal insurance. RH went above and beyond to smooth things out and get things taken care of, which was difficult because our HOA was not very responsive. I was very impressed with Restoration Heroes after subsequently working with them on a second project at our home. If they were unable to do certain aspects of a job, such as asbestos testing, they had partnerships with companies that got the job done extremely quickly. Our bathroom was tested for lead and asbestos within one day of scheduling. The job was scheduled within a couple days of results coming back, and was finished in half a day. Restoration Heroes does great work, goes above and beyond to schedule things quickly, and make customers happy. read more

These guys are the worst. They came in and provided a quote on repairing my Walls and Paint, from a damaged water line that had to be re-routed in my home. My insurance company thought their pricing was out of line and recommend one of their better known partners to provide me a quote. Their repair partner came in $1,000 less than what Restoration Heroes quoted. Restoration Heroes got so upset that they didn't win my business. They sent me an invoice for $994 as a "Recovery Fee" for their time and effort. How ridicules is this? This was flat out "Modern Day Thievery". I've been in the computer business for 45 years selling Multi-Million dollar computer systems to Fortune 500 companies all over the world. We have never and I mean never charged a customer a "Recovery Fee" for time and effort, because we didn't win there business. I told my insurance company about this and they plan to "Black List" these guys if they ever try and do this again to any of their other customers. These guys are the worst. I had a pipe leak at my home and we called Restoration Hero's to do the mitigation under insurance claim. They took a week to start the mitigation work and in the process took down en entire bathroom! Once the mitigation work was nearly completed, their reconstruction team provided an excessive estimate for repairs twice what my insurance carrier had provided as qualified under my policy! Once I rejected Restoration Hero's estimate for repairs and picked my own reconstruction team, they got upset and invoiced me a charge of $12000 as Recon fee for just providing the estimate! This is illegal and I reported that to their accounting but I still get invoices for anything done! I do not recommend Restoration Hero's to anyone. read more

Home Depot improperly installed a dishwasher, causing a flood in my kitchen. RH came out immediately and put a remediation plan in place for me thru my home owners insurance. I was assigned a project manager, Felipe, who has been great. He is always available for all my questions and is extremely patient, as this has been a stressful experience for me (and my cats). The team assigned to demo the water damage, Alex and Guillermo, have also been great. They have made everything as convenient as possible for me and have been very respectful of my home (and cats). Be cautious when using this company. Yes, they did the work they were hired to do and got paid for it. However, they also damaged my property while doing their work. They tore one of our shades and the tape they put on our shutters to hold up the plastic took the paint right off. They have been promising for months that they will take care of both issues to no avail. Now I'm stuck with these additional damages after still going through the water damaged we suffered. Insurance will not cover their damage so this is an out of pocket expense that will be $1,000 or more. I will most likely have to now paint all the shutter so that they match. What a headache this has been. Buyer beware don't let this happen to you, choose another restoration company. Restoration Hero's is no hero in my book. read more

Had a pipe burst in the middle of the night. Water damage was complete and thorough. Contacted a restoration company, Restoration Heroes came out and started the drying process immediately. Within about 1 hour of calling they were on site, and in about an hour and a half our Project Manager Mike White was on site re-verifying everything, going over the details of each step in amazing detail, and helping walk me through the process of filing a claim. He helped us save the pertinent info, answered our questions to give us more peace of mind than most get in this instance where it's just "we filed a claim... now what?". Our adjuster was slow to respond to temporary housing costs, Mike helped to facilitate that and speed it along. They pulled the damaged flooring up during the dry-out process and found tile with asbestos under the laminate flooring. This was remediated so we would be safe in the event of future work. They then passed me along to a trusted contractor/rebuild team and we're waiting on insurance company approval of the rebuild. During all of this, Mike has been available, knowledgeable, and has made sure to stress to us that even if he is not a part of the remediation process anymore, he can and will help us as needed for anything on the claim side. While I'll never say I'm happy to have had to file an insurance claim, I'm thankful that I got to work with Mike and Restoration Heroes as they've been fantastic. And, in the spirit of "nobody is perfect", my only complaint was that they hadn't picked up the plastic wrap/sealant they used over the doors and windows at the end of this involved, complex process. I had to remind Mike about this which was completed the very next day after requesting. *gasp* the horror, a simple human oversight that was also fixed immediately upon request! Lol. And clearly it is reflected in my score of their work at 5 stars out of 5. When you're at your lowest "oh sh-" moment for a home claim, if you see Mike showing up, he's as close to a knight in shining armor as you'll get. read more
