They came out same day for measurements, the price was within a few dollars of the other two estimates. They ordered and installed the window within 10 days like they told me they would. My only gripe was that they required a online signature and the form was not user friendly. I paid them in full in advance, not sure why they needed more authorization. read more

Terrible, terrible customer service experience and AWFUL job done! We had a mirrored closet door in our new fifth wheel that had gotten cracked. We'd contacted the dealership to get price of a new one and the cost quoted was quite expensive, and didn't include shipping (from Indiana) so we thought perhaps we could get the glass fixed locally for better price plus not have to have it shipped. My husband took the closet door to DK Boos and spoke with Eric -- no problem, however, price was almost equivalent to dealership but we would be saving on shipping, so we moved forward. Door was ready in one day -- when husband picked up door after work, he was in a hurry so didn't check job done -- when he got home and looked at it, he noticed that there were some significant dents in door frame as well as a scratch which had not been present when he took it in! It looked like whomever had replaced the glass had used a screwdriver or something of that nature to remove the frame from the glass. To make a long story short, my husband took it back the next day and spoke with Eric about just wanting the dents in the frame fixed/made right....Eric was extremely defensive, told my husband that these dents/scratch had more than likely been there when received (they HAD NOT and I even have pictures which were offered to Eric - refused...). He then proceeded to "cop an attitude", continued to be rude to my husband but did indicate he'd refund the $$$. My husband refused the refund (we do understand there are monies involved with cutting glass, etc.) and indicated he just wanted the frame dents fixed. Eric grudgingly fixed the frame (he didn't really want to touch it), but also made my husband help (really???). The entire time he was complaining about "how flimsy these trailer mirrored doors are, etc., etc." and that "we shouldn't even be doing repairs on these". My husband walked out of there with a product that was still damaged (they couldn't get the dents all the way out and the scratch is still there, which we'll have to fix :() AND had to deal with poor customer service!!!! We went to DK Boos vs. Kellchuck Glass as we thought we'd support another local business for a change -- in hindsight, what a mistake! Maybe DK Boos does other jobs well, but they certainly DID NOT do a good job for us, let alone the behavior of Eric -- NO EXCUSE!! I will NOT recommend this business to anybody nor will we EVER use them again. read more

We have French doors with large glass panels on one of our bedrooms and one of them was broken. We contacted several glass companies about repair and replacement but most said that they couldn't match the etching on the door that remained so we would either have to put plain glass in both doors, replace both doors with full wood doors, or live with a mismatched pair. D. K. Boos was the only one that offered any hope and boy did they come through. Their estimator cautioned that matching the etching on the remaining door would be difficult but possible so we went with them and they did a great job. The glass arrived when promised and the installer did a masterful job. And while there may be very slight differences between the glass panels, we wouldn't know about them had they not been pointed out to us. No one who doesn't know will never be able to tell the difference. I can't recommend them highly enough. Thanks for a job well done!!!! read more

If you are not a commercial customer or having while house done, go somewhere else. Waited over 4 months for a single slider and 2 glass packs. Asked that it be completed before thanksgiving. That didnt happen, however 1 Dec they magically had An opening to install. $5k is t enough money for this no longer local company. Spend your hard earned dollars at a big box store before you deal with them. After the fact they lied to me and said pet door sliders take 3-4 months to get..... Covid excuses are no longer valid, supply issues are no longer valid, now if they said they could t get quality help I would have believed them. NEVER EVER AGAIN! read more

In summary- We found them to be easy to work with, w/high quality windows / doors, very courteous, fast & efficient & well done installation, cleaned up after themselves well. We will absolutely use them for more window replacements in the future. Extra details if needed- We used these guys for replacing a big triple window in our front living room (they call it a "double slider" since the windows at either end open), and also for replacing our ancient sliding glass door w/a nice new one. When they came for the estimate we had them price for us replacing any/all windows in the house so we could get an overview sense of cost. We were impressed because there was no pressure and we felt very comfortable walking around w/the guy discussing options. He said he has this one couple that just save up and replace one window a year with them, and he thought that was AOK. So that made us feel much better because we're first time home owners and sometimes there's a sticker shock as we as lifelong renters get used to what things cost. The estimate came back itemized so we could see the prices and pick and choose what we were going to do now vs. maybe down the road. We didn't get estimates from anyone else because we felt really good about the estimate experience and also we knew someone who recommended them too. Then they came back to measure a 2nd time before ordering, which was impressive too. The installation went very well which was a huge relief. We have four indoor-only cats, and 3 dogs (beagles). With the cats we had to keep them all in one room during the job, so in advance we asked & they told us roughly how much time the work would take, & their time estimate was accurate. We had to leash our mischievous dogs up w/us to keep them out of the way, but the installers were also patient with us & our three dog nuttiness so that was good too. They mail you a 1 yr warranty afterwards, the manufacturer's warranty brochure, and the PSE rebate application too plus what you need to send in with it (if you're a PSE customer). Just don't be a dork like me and procrastinate because PSE says they want that rebate form back within 30 days of the installation! So anyway DK Boos was a great choice & we have zero regrets and we will use them again in the future. read more

Had several companies out to give us bids for whole house window replacements. We chose DK Boos for several reasons. Their quote was comparable to a couple of the other bids we got. The product lines and warranties were also similar. What the deciding factors for us were 1) the companies time in business, 2) the reviews I read 3) the nail fin install that they did is what I wanted 4) Jeff, their sales/measure person was friendly, knowledgeable and took the time to answer my questions and lastly 5) they were able to handle replacing some rotted wood siding, sill plating and trim. I've been having a problem with my shower doors that weren't properly mounted when I first bought my home. Sliding the doors were really difficult to open/close, so I researched a couple companies which were Lacey Glass and DK Boos. I first called Lacey Glass because they're right next door to Grateful Dogs where I take my dogs all the time. Sadly they only deal with Windows, not shower doors. My next option was DK Boos. When I called them, I addressed my issue and they immediately scheduled a time to stop by. The truck arrived and the associate remounted my shower door within minutes and applied sealant to make sure it wouldn't slide back down. My shower door slides smoothly now. I had three large double-paned windows in my living room that needed to be replaced. The seals had broken and the inside of these older windows had condensation and even algae. I was lucky to choose DK Boos for this glass replacement. They sent their estimate quickly, and once I approved the job, they received the new glass and replaced it within the week. They estimated that it could take up to 10 days to get the glass and I like companies that promise less and overdeliver. Excellent service. I needed to replace two antiquated skylights. Jeff came out to give me a bid. He took his time, asked if I had any questions and didn't rush me. After I received the bid from Jeff about an hour later (what?);), I followed up with several questions regarding product, manufacturer, U rating, rebates, etc. Although I'm sure he was thinking "Lady, make a freaking decision", he was very prompt in his responses and his customer service was impeccable. I also called the skylight manufacturer to see what installer they recommended and DK Boos was their choice. After a few more bids from other places I chose DK Boos. While they weren't the cheapest, they impressed me. Yesterday Ian and Josh came to install. They were on time and professional and just all around nice guys. My skylights look amazing. I own a small remodeling company in Olympia and have used DK Boos for a number of years. I am friends with my salesman Brian who has always done an outstanding job for me and the customers that I send to DK Boos. On Oct 20th my customer ordered a $2500.00 shower door to complete a bathroom remodel we did. Typically, it takes about 3 weeks from date of order to have the glass cut, shipped, and installed. DK Boos were not able to install in 3 weeks but scheduled to install today-a month from date of order. This morning they called my customer to inform him that they had an employee call in sick and would not be able to install the shower door until December 1. This is 6 weeks since date of order and my customer has a 20k bathroom he can't use because DK Boos had someone call in sick. I called DK Boos and spoke with a manager there named Tina. She told me her hands were tied and there was nothing she could do to help me. I asked to speak to the owner Eric. Eric was irritated when he got on the phone. I explained the situation to him and was told there was nothing he could or would do. I asked him why he couldnt push the next days jobs out and do my project tomorrow. Eric's response was "I dont tell you how to run your business-don't tell me how to run mine." I told Eric it sounded like he didn't want my business at all and he agreed. Now, Im not a big time player but Ive spent over 10k a year there for the past 5 or 6 years and have recommended DK Boos to lots of people for windows, shower doors and sliding glass doors. I wonder why the owner of DK Boos was unable or unwilling to pay for a little overtime to keep a long term customer-better yet get off his butt and help out in the field if he was short handed? Eric and his staff seem to have the "we don't care we don't have to" attitude that is so disappointing. I would never treat my customer(s) they way I was treated today by the owner of DK Boos and I refuse to do business with someone like that. My advice is use a glass company that values customer service over one that has a bunch of fake reviews on their website. read more
