Dear Safelite Customer Service Team, I am writing to formally document a highly disappointing experience I had with your West Olympia, Washington location and your corporate office. After a rock damaged both my windshield and the vehicle frame, I coordinated a repair involving a local dent specialist and your West Olympia branch. I worked with April to schedule a specific two-step process for 5/1/26: your technician was to remove the glass at 10:00 AM, allow the dent repair to take place, and return later that day to install the new windshield. I was explicitly told by April that payment would be required when the technician called on his way back for the final installation. The service I received was unacceptable for the following reasons: - Scheduling and Professionalism: The technician called me early, expressed frustration with his schedule, and arrived significantly later than the 11:00 AM time he game me. - Communication Failures: Despite having my contact information, the technician mistakenly believed I was a dealership. Later, he left the site without performing the work, claiming to the shop that payment was needed upfront--a direct contradiction to what was agreed upon with April. I was never called to provide payment, which I would have gladly done over the phone to avoid delays. - Lack of Accountability: When I attempted to resolve this, the local shop refused to let me speak with a manager. When I contacted the corporate office, I received no explanation, no apology, and no assistance. They just let me know someone should be in touch. I have not been contacted by anyone regarding this. This total lack of customer service, from the local technician to headquarters, is deeply concerning. Because Safelite chose to cease communication rather than resolve a problem of its own making, I cannot recommend your services to others. Fast friendly service. A week later my rear view mirror fell off. Tried calling them and there was no way to get a hold of anyone at this particular store. Had make an appointment online. Got there an hour early. The women at the front desk were extremely unhelpful extremely and pleasant told us that we would have to wait for our appointment time, even though there was nobody in any of the bays.. The service manager came out because we are sitting in our car and told us he would take us in right away. He had a very unusual name. I wish I could remember it started with an A. In and out in about 10 minutes if it wasn't for the women at the desk, it would've been a very pleasant experience. read more

On the fence with this one. All in all it took two visits and over 7 hours to fix the windshield on my bmw. The first time I had them come to my house. After 2.5 hrs I noticed there were gaps in the windshield which could cause a leak. I also couldn't use my windshield wiper fluid. I then brought it in and waited over 3 hours for them to "fix it". The gap is no longer there and I can use the fluid but I'm unsure of anything else that might go wrong. read more

Horrible experience. Apparently the local stores don't actually have phones. All phone numbers lead to their central service, which is nearly 100% automated and super frustrating. All I want is to talk to the local (Olympia) office to ask a couple of questions before I try to use their horrible web site to book an appointment. The whole thing is a waste of time if you want something that doesn't fit in the prompts. Even if you do manage to find a live person, they have no information beyond their scripted scheduling conversation. One would think from their commercials they are easy to do business with and happy/friendly people. Not so much... read more

I needed the windshield replaced on my Mazda CX-5. It needed to be done in the shop because of the recalibration. They didn't need to drive it because now recalibration is all done through a tablet they have. It was ready in only about an hour. Recalibration went smoothly and all my sensors have worked fine since. I was very nervous to have this done but it was much easier than expected. I had no problems with communication. I set the appointment online and they sent texts ahead of time. Everyone there was friendly and competent. Recommend this shop. read more

Overall my experience w Safelite over the years has been positive. Recently though I had service on my front windshield that went south requiring me to take it to the shop for repair. The window had to be completely redone. The service recovery was excellent but it was clear the original installer at my house was not experienced enough to do the job. read more

Placed a claim with our insurance to get our windshield replaced. The quality and care put into the replacement was over the top. The technician took his time and got the job done right. Picked up the vehicle and I couldn't even tell that the windshield was replaced, other than it being brand new. No remnants of the old windshield. I don't think they even adjusted the seat and left it at my settings which is always appreciated. read more

Needed to have the rear window of my Kia Soul replaced. The rear window shattered. No foul play found. Just "thermal stress" during 2 90 plus degree days. My technician called to let me know when he would arrive. Arrived on time, was extremely courteous and skilled. He also checked my windshield wipers, which wouldn't turn off, and for which I had an appointment with Kia the next day. He solved the problem, which was a simple misunderstanding by me of the correct way to turn them off. He saved me an unnecessary trip to Kia!!! read more

POST YOUR LOCAL PHONE NUMBER. THE SAFELITE 800 number is a JOKE. You can never get to a person. There's no way to see if your service has been completed to know if you need to pick up your vehicle. Horrible customer service. 800 number tells you there is nobody to assist you and hangs up on you in the middle of working hours. read more

Scheduling on the website was easy enough. We used the service where they come to the house. The two technicians were prompt. It took them several hours to get it done, but my understanding is that Jeeps can be difficulty. Now the reason for the poor rating. After they finished we wrapped up paperwork. Making the mistake of assuming a large company hired professionals, we didn't go out to look it over. When we went out to it later, the amount of glass everywhere was ridiculous. The vehicle had glass all around the wipers, on the hood, all down inside the defrost vents, in the cup holders and even in the belt molding of the driver door. Why does a company this size leave a vehicle in such a state? It's dangerous, careless, unprofessional. When my wife turned on the defroster ahead of had glass blow in her face. The piece in the belt molding has scratched the glass and screeches when you put the window up and down. I used a vacuum (novel idea) and sucked up glass as it blew out of the defroster, vacuumed all I could find and washed the hood off in hopes of not scratching the paint. Additionally I swept up all the glass left in the driveway, that fortunately my dog didn't step in. The next day I went and spoke to the person at the front desk. I was told that that's the way it goes when you do mobile service. She said they use hood covers. They must not work for the amount of glass on the hood. She said they use dash covers. It must not have been kept in place. She said they couldn't use painter's tape over the defrost vents. This was hands down the absolute worst service and experience I've ever had with a window replacement. A lack of caring and professionalism. I'm an RV technician and I own a battery powered vacuum. We contacted Safelite last weekend after our van was broken into. We provided all of the information for the vehicle, the window that was broken, etc. The technician showed up at our house around when we expected but shortly afterwards informed us that it was a "two person job that needed to be done in the shop." Frustrating, as we were not able to get it into the shop until Saturday and this was Tuesday. We scheduled an appointment at the shop in West Olympia and requested OEM glass be installed (again). When we arrived on Saturday morning for our appointment, the front office person was unable to find us in the system. She was very difficult to work with. When she looked us up by our number (she was "unable to find our phone number") she informed us that she had cancelled our appointment. She claims that she attempted to contact us but the calls went t a "number is no longer in service" message and hung up. She cancelled our order for the OEM glass and had no glass on site for us. We are now scheduled to be back in Wednesday afternoon and will only be receiving aftermarket glass. We are incredibly upset and frustrated that our appointment was canceled for no real reason. It is even more upsetting that we have had to extent our rental car by a week now at this point. Safelite needs to investigate this issue and determine an appropriate corrective action. It is completely unacceptable. We are considering legal action or mediation to be made whole for our extended losses and inconvenience due to the incompetence and lack of care from Safelite employees at the West Olympia branch. read more

I needed a windshield repair and the site gave no exact quote on the repair because I chose to go through insurance. When I got there they wanted me to pay the $500 deductible right away so I asked what the total price was. The lady told me it was over $1100. I was shocked as I had a Cadillacs SUV windshield replaced with recalibration and it was not even $500. She told me price have gone up and if I was to pay cash it would be the same. You cannot speak with the individual shops even when you call the local number listed. So when you have a vehicle that is higher than normal and you're talking to the call center wherever that is, they have no idea what the local shop can and cannot service. So when you schedule an appointment and make sure your half of the day is clear, missing pay for that half of the day and show up, and they can't service it telling you you have to schedule a repair another time in a store that is even farther out of your way, simply shrugging their shoulders saying sorry we can't do anything about it. Well if your bays have a limited height then maybe when you see a high top van scheduled for work to be done, and you KNOW the customer can't call you directly, maybe give them a call and prevent them from losing a few hundred dollars because you don't take any pride in your customer service. Guess that corporate don't care about the customer attitude goes all they way through the company. read more

There is no option to give zero star, what he did when he came at my house to replace the front window on my honda odissey 2016 elite which has a little crack, ( he was a black guy by the way) nothing wrong to mention that, he removed the trim around my window and then ( I'm guessing he sow that my car has that camera that all new car has) and when he saw that he came at me and said that he is unable to calibrate the camera after he is finished with the new window installation, so he put the trim back, gues what he did when removed the trim, he damage it, so he put that same trim back, even now I have it, and looks bad, is not into the place where it should be, it looks ugly, this is how they do the work, incompetence, and not responsible, I RECOMMEND TO NOT USE THEM, THEY ARE JUST GOING TO DAMAGE YOUR CAR, i hate when I place a bad review but there is no choice when you know what is is going to do to the next customer, they hurt me , why?
