Finally made it in to check out brunch here. Amazing menu with delicious options. Shared the babka French toast which was excellent. The egg sandwich was phenomenal. The raclette burger was top notch. We also shared a scone which was amazing. Great service, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Fun atmosphere. Looking forward to a future stop.

I went here to check it out because I have never been here before. I would definitely recommend reservations. You can't even sit at the bar without them when it is busy. I was chased away from the bar because I did not have a reservation. I gave the host my name and waited for about 45 minutes. There is a decent amount of parking. I would consider this place a little on the upscale side although casual. It is attached to a take out spit called the Boro. We finally got a seat at the bar. I decided on the salad and a drink. The salad was great and was a nice size. I also tried to pepperoni pizza which was a tasty pizza. Not too much dough, sauce or cheese overpowering it. The prices can get steep here. A salad was $20 without protein. However, it is a nice place to go for a meetup or event. I am glad I finally checked it out.

What an impressive experience at the Dixboro Project. I've been wanting to try this spot for a few years now and was very excited when my bf surprised me with brunch reservation. Being a farm to table restaurant, everything was fresh and sourced locally. I knew I was in for an amazing meal when the server went over the menu of offerings. We both chose cocktails to begin our Sunday Funday. He got the Carrot Redenator and I opted for a refreshing Wild berry Bubbly Spritzer. I love savory brunch options but today raspberry French toast was calling my name. My bf got the steak and eggs. We also ordered a side of turkey sausage and bacon. OMG....doesn't quite explain the deliciousness of our meals. I loved the entire experience and will most certainly be back in the summer to enjoy the beautiful property.

My wife and I stopped by on a whim. She wanted to share one of her favorite spots. We were able to get a table during Sunday brunch. Reservations are recommended. Dining is upscale but not stuffy. INGREDIENTS make a difference. Seasonal items are featured in their dishes. Although lite, our meal checked all the boxes. Flavor, freshness and texture. So good. I enjoyed a pear ginger cider with my meal. I hoped for more ginger flavor to come through but it was refreshing nonetheless. The staff is friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be coming back to try more of what's on the menu.

My hubby and I passed by at 3:45pm on a Friday and were seated although we don't have a res. They only serve pizza and some appetizer before 4pm so we were right on time for the dinner menu. I love the atmosphere and decoration of the restaurant, and our servers were attentive and friendly. We ordered caesar salad, dozen oysters, mushroom pizza (good but get cold quickly), butternut squash gnocchi, shells n cheese, pommes aligot , and all of these dishes were salty excluding the pizza, salad, and oysters. I am unsure if it is a Michigan palette thing (I recently moved here from California), but half of the food we ordered were very salty. I couldn't even have a 3rd bite and have to throw away our leftovers the next day cause it didn't get any better. Apparently, we won't come back here because the food palette here is just not for us. P/s: Be careful at the thin water glass because I got served with a chipped top glass and almost cut my lower lip. The server apologized and changed a new glass for me. However, I honestly think the glass is so fragile, and they should change it.

I cannot believe I haven't reviewed dixboro yet. This is the best restaurant near Ann Arbor in my opinion. The food is amazing and always fresh and innovative. I have been 3 or 4 times now and it gets better and better every time. The brunch is amazing but dinner is better. The steak tartare is great! I liked the oysters, the mushroom pizza is a must get and the pumpkin pasta that they had in season this fall was wonderful. The steak you can skip, it was more potatoes than meat. For brunch the burger, French toast, and cookie are all great. The cocktails are also very fun and yummy. I cannot say enough great things about this restaurant! I recommend to everyone and bring all my friends for special occasions. The service is also good, I've been for an anniversary and 2 birthdays and they are very attentive and rotate by the table an appropriate amount. Huge fan!!

We had a wonderful Valentine's day dinner date at Dixboro house. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent. Highly recommend!

A very unique venue with great food and a lively a ambiance. This has become one of our fav's. A changing menu that always features fresh, farm-to-table ingredients and features. They also usually have staples on the menu, one example is their Pizza's which are really good. On this occasion we started with the Brussel sprouts with blueberry, feta and pistachios. Amazing flavors and very tasty. Sorry, no pic, got to excited and ate them! :) Our entree's consisted of the Beef Bourguignon Gnocchi with red wine, crispy onions and crème fraiche. The preparation was amazing, beef was cooked perfectly, moist, tender and all the flavors blended very well. We also had the Caesar Salad, with house made croutons and shaved Parmesan. Great craft cocktails. Staff is very friendly and attentive to servicing their guests. Definitely recommend Dixboro Project.

I came here for a wedding - so a unique experience! I've only been here during Covid, so I actually got coffee and sat outside in the cold. The entire restaurant was closed for the wedding. They did a great job utilizing the entire space. The ceremony was in the back room. Then transformed into one of the dining rooms and then eventually the dance floor. The area by the bar was open for people to socialize during cocktail hour. Cocktail hour: bartenders were great! There were few select cocktails we could choose from. Dinner was shared family style: - bread: soft and yummy! - Caesar salad: you can't mess up a Caesar salad - steak: this was good - chicken: not dry! - cod: this was good - potatoes: this was good and a lot of people's favorite dish. - carrots: I really liked this and the sauce it came with - apple pie with ice cream: there wasn't enough ice cream for the apple to pie ratio. Too many apple pieces for me! Service was amazing!! There were a lot of servers (probably more than necessary) but they did an amazing job of constantly checking on us (but not in an overbearing way). There were few people who stood out to me but I sadly forgot their names. I think one of the bartenders was Becca (she was blonde)! There were 2 female servers who were lovely as well. One had glasses, maybe Mandy was her name? Thanks Dixboro for a memorable experience and for the best night ever for my friends who got married!!

A view of the restaurant. We were here for an early dinner, so it wasn't overly crowded.

Would like to clarify up front that this is not a breakfast place- at least not only. My friend and I recently were here for an early dinner and it was amazing! This restaurant can be a casual meal or drinks on the outside deck or a nice lunch or dinner inside. The ambiance is overall upper scale casual, but definitely heavier on the "upper" part. It's a lovely restaurant with eclectic vibes. Below, I've posted a photo of part of the restaurant. It's very charming. While some of the artwork is modern, the dinner ware is older style. It all blends together well. Upon being seated, we were promptly greeted by a charming server. We began our meal by sharing a beautiful garden salad with tomatoes from the outside garden. The greens were a combination of baby spinach and arugula I believe, with some squares of a mild cheese and those delicious homegrown tomatoes! The dressing was a homemade buttermilk that wasn't overly thick- just right! For dinner, we both opted for the Shrimp Spaghetti Dinner, with dill and a rich creamy sauce. It came with Parmesan cheese on top. It was delicious, with fresh dill and parsley. The shrimp were sliced but could tell they were large shrimp. It was a fabulous dinner, though I'll caution you that it was very rich. While neither of us finished our large portion, we decided not to take home leftovers. It was a delightfully large portion, but honestly too rich for leftovers. I would definitely recommend the Dixboro Project for a very fine meal and ambiance. It could be for a special occasion or just because you want a deliciously special meal!

Oh, this place is AMAZING!! In many respects It's one of the nicest dining experiences I have ever had. The food is farm-to-table which is important to me, everything is so fresh and delicious! I can't say enough about how good the food was! They only serve local in season food and are quite creative about it. Our party of 4 had the oysters, trumpet vine mushroom appetizers, the ribeye steak for two, the black bass fish, pepperoni pizza, Caesar salad, with side dishes of Yukon gold mashed potatoes with basil oil, shells and cheese (which is a very fancy sophisticated version of mac & cheese), brussels sprouts, and their freshly baked bread which was practically the best bread I have ever eaten (and I'm not a bread person). I was so impressed with the food and how impeccably it was prepared and served. For dessert we had the dark chocolate mousse cake with coffee mousse, the roasted chestnut cheesecake, and the Black Forest Yule log. All evening we were raving about how delicious and amazing the entire dinner was! Needless to say, the service was impeccable. We had several servers and all were attentive, knew their jobs, and were very sweet and polite. After each course of food meaning the appetizers, salads, main dish, and dessert, they would change our plates and silverware to give us brand new clean ones! That's four changes per person! There were the main servers, the ones who bussed the dishes, the ones who filled our water glasses, an admin person who came to ask us how we were enjoying our meal - all orchestrated to perfection! The ambiance and setting was lovely. It was brightly decorated for Christmas with such an upbeat vibe. The lighted Christmas trees in the back were so gorgeous which added such a festive touch. I definitely want to come back!

    Steak tartare
    Devon P.

The steak tartare was good! The onions were a bit strong though and overpowering. It was also acidic. I liked how the bread was not too thick, but some of the pieces were burnt; some people may like that but it was too far done for my liking. The Margherita pizza was good! The sauce was sweet so the chili oil was definitely needed. The soft landing cocktail was delicious and refreshing. There is complimentary valet which is nice because the parking lot is kind of tight. The staff were friendly and the interior is lovely!

    Banana Pudding

Everything was perfect. Walked in expecting a good meal and was blown away by how amazing everything was. The service was impeccable, shoutout Michaela. The entire staff worked together as a team and were very professional, kind, and fun. The ambiance was calming yet felt refined at the same time. Cute decor and comfortable seating. We ordered a variety of dishes which came out in perfect succession. Starting with the onion roll and field green salad. Then came the mains with two pizzas (spinach & artichoke and the margarita) and the seasonal walleye dish served with asparagus. Everything tasted fresh and had that homemade comfort food feeling. For dessert we wrapped up with the banana pudding and lemon tart. Bonus they have a full cafe of coffee drinks to pair with your desserts. Overall had an incredible time and currently in a happy food coma.

Has anyone tried Dixboro at Home? Is it worth the price?

We tried the fried chicken meal for 2 this week and it was delicious. We found the price was fair given that we pay at least that much for dinner out these days. Everything was packaged very well and the food was still warm when it got home to us,… Read more

The food came out impressing-ly fast given how crowded they were. Everyone on my team enjoyed their selections, my mushroom pizza was exquisite - earthy, but the chili oil that came with the pizza made the dish more flavorful. When we got our check I noticed that there was a "convenience fee 3%", which is applied to your meal prices only. I'm not a fan of convenience fee, if they are trying to offset the credit card charges or adjust their prices due to the inflation or higher material costs, they should just raise their prices to offset those. I also didn't see anything about convenience fee being added, granted if it was in a smaller print so I could have missed it. It seems everyone is adding on convenience fee to everything.

We were here in December so the patio wasn't open but looks roomy with many picnic tables. We opted to sit at the bar because that's usually where we get personal with brew pubs we love to discover. We always search local brews when traveling and 9/10 times the bartender will greet us, ask if we've been there, make recommendations or tell us a bit about the brewery style. Not here. I'm not sure the bartender ever even made eye contact and pretty sure he wanted to be there even less than he wanted us to be there. We did get a few beer samples by request, but no recommendations, he didn't ask what we thought and he made us feel very unwelcome right from the start. However, once that bartender was relieved the new bartender was chatty and friendly to the new customers. We had finished our beers and meal by that time and just needed to cash out. So I would say maybe it's just that one employee. We had the pretzels. Kudos to the pretzel bread-- it was delicious. Beer cheese was pretty good, as was the mustard. We asked about the menu and what he recommends (still trying to be friendly and get him to warm up). He recommended the special menu, so we ordered the Blackened Salmon sandwich. It was okay/average. Fries were cold. We ordered the Table Talk beer and I enjoyed it. I'd say that the beer was the best part of the whole experience. Overall I'm glad we tried it but we wouldn't go back. If the bartender had been more welcoming and interested in sharing a bit more about the concept, we would give it a second try when we head out there again. It's always good to try other food items and beers, but the vibe doesn't warrant a second try. I can understand if a place is busy, but we were there at 2pm on a Saturday and were two of four at the bar and he didn't look to be super busy with the restaurant as a whole. It's always so disappointing when service falls so short on something that could be such a unique experience. Three stars for the beer and pretzel.
