When we came in, we were greeted by the owner as he was working on taking calls and welcoming customers! - respect!!! Our server was super friendly and knowledgeable! We had blistered brussels sprouts and this was the best brussels sprouts I've ever had! Highly recommend! We also had the protein Chef's board, the lamb was perfectly cooked , it was so tender that melts in your mouth and flavorful and the lamb smell was not overwhelming, my husband even wondered if it was a cow meat steak - it was that good. The filet steak was also tender. The chicken kabobs chimichurri was also delish. For dessert, we had creme brulee and frozen chocolate mousse - lovely ! Keep in mind that these are tapas/small serving. We would definitely come back to try something else. My sister and I tried this place for lunch after stopping at the shops in the area and it was such a great find! You have to be 21+ but can be 16 with a guardian. We didn't try any drinks this time. They had a cucumber lemon infused water which was refreshing. Our server Makayla made sure to explain the menu to us in detail and I'm so glad she did. We tried the Favorites Tour that had five sampler portions of the brisket taco, corn crème brûlée, chicken slider, blistered brussel sprouts, and tomato caprese. The brussel sprouts, caprese salad, and the corn crème brûlée were our favorites! The chicken slider - not so much. It had a potpourri aftertaste for some reason. On Saturday, November 9, 2024, the immature and rude manager Alex walked away when I informed him how the host seated women behind us, and they had no reservations such as we didn't. With tabletops and booths full, according to the host, I requested indoor bar or enclosed patio seating, and I was informed nothing was available. So, I stepped to the side, so that my friend could use the restroom before we left. The same host assisted the two walk-ins behind us, and these women told the host that they had no reservations, too. Without any patrons leaving the restaurant within that minute from telling my friend and me no, he seated the two women behind us. You can get a mix of items per platter or you can order a platter that may be vegie, meat or other. My friend and I came here for lunch and overall it was a good experience. We ordered off the devour menu and the options were really good to choose from. I ordered the Brussel sprouts, brisket taco, and cauliflower taco. It was very flavorful and scrumptious! The environment was calm, I loved their heated porch. They even have heaters outside in the patio. I was happy! Our table shared pork belly bites that had a delicious maple glaze, elote street corn served with slightly crispy pita chips, tuna tartare that was fresh with perfect size tuna bits, lobster rangoon, bulgogi steak bao buns. My only disappointment in the food was I wish the bao buns were a bit softer. Dessert was crème brûlée that I was hoping was a bit larger because it was so delicious. The other dessert were cheesecake bites that were okay, nothing great. The menu is huge with so many things that sounded so good, I need to go back and try other dishes. Our server was great! I enjoyed eating here on a Monday night but right when we walked in the hostess asked if we had a reservation. We told her no and her response is "You guys are killing me. Let me see what I have". Apparently this place only wants people who have reservations to come for dinner......on a Monday. We got the whipped feta as an appetizer and it was good but small and was the perfect snack size. She was super attentive, helpful and friendly, and even showed us a short cut to get to the theatre afterwards, as it was snowing and super cold outside. Best place to try new foods! Also a great place to bring your pup! They have a menu dedicated to dogs that 100% of profits go to the Humane Society. All the staff were friendly and had great recommendations. It's fun to come here and try all the small plates individually or order them in a flight/tour. We had lunch here and shared a "board" that included whipped feta, baked brie, steak bites, and a small bowl of scrumptious brussels sprouts.(Fortunately, my husband hates brussels sprouts, but I love them). Cucumber-lemon water is complementary. It was okay, but I wouldn't seek it out. Perfect weather allowed us to enjoy our meal on the patio. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and seated immediately. Service was a little slow but friendly, It appeared there were only a couple of servers on the job. It is a great place to try if you don't need a ton of food. We will probably go back to try some of the other boards, We will make sure the weather is nice, though, because parking in downtown Carmel can be a challenge. Parking is free in the municipal garage a couple of blocks away, but I wouldn't want to navigate the walk in rain or snow. read more

We had a group of 6 and spend around $300. We were charged extra for bread that should have came with our order. This place was so good! We ordered 2 of the sampler trays and it was PLENTY of food for the 2 of us. And literally everything was delicious. The only oddity that we didn't finish was the peanut butter with sriracha on top. It was just weird. But we cleaned our plates other than that! Also, a ton of vegan options and I loved that all the vegan dishes were so tasty. Staff was lovely as well. Looking forward to coming back! I'm on the fence with this one guys! This is a great place for cocktails and flights, buuuuttttt I'd have to say that the food was a little on the overpriced and overcomplicated side. I was looking forward to trying the bao buns, but they didn't have the buns (our server said they couldn't get them) so instead, they were serving the filings in tortillas....like tacos! That was disappointing. I advised Kermit, our server, that theses two things were not the same. That should lead with that info in the future. I'd asked many questions about the bao and was only made aware of this once I was ready to order. I really enjoyed my bubbles flight though and the atmosphere on the patio was equally as effervescent! Side note: I didn't mention the actual dishes that were ordered because we really weren't happy with any of them. We're lucky to have this locally. The food is incredible and the wine flight was so good I took a few photos of the labels to pick up later. My husband and I are both addicted to their grilled cheese with tart apple and the blistered brussel sprouts. We plan on coming back for our anniversary and any time we have a reason to be in downtown Carmel. This was great to bring adult family who was visiting as it was more of an activity and dinner combined. Constant conversation topics about food flights kept the night smooth. It was close enough to downtown Carmel that we could do some walking to the Japanese garden by the statehouse and then down to the galleries. I imagine that parking normally isn't too bad, but a Friday market night made it a little tough to find a spot nearby. I really appreciated the extensive mocktail list and it was so nice to have more than 1-2 options. I got the Cosmockitan and it was delicious. We ordered the cheese plate to share, which featured small portions of different cheeses and breads, and then each got our own little entree. I got the duck bao buns, which were pretty good. I would've liked the buns to be a bit softer and the sauce on the duck was a little too sticky. Overall though, they had a nice flavor profile. I think this place is perfect to go to with a group of friends for light bites but it is a little pricey for what the portions are. If you want a more substantial meal for a better price, I would go elsewhere, like Monterey (which is also in the area). read more

This is one of my wife's favorite places to eat. They have small portions and boards offering a sampling of some of their menu's highlights. I've had almost every option on their menu, and everything I have tried is delicious!! I joke with my friends when we eat there. All the food is good, it's just a matter of what you are in the mood to eat! The food has exquisite flavor, and the restaurant is beautiful and elegant. It's a little dark and moody on the inside and bright and sunny on the covered patio. My wife with celiac and food allergies can eat here safely, and if I'm ever in trouble for something, a sincere apology and a meal at Divvy is a great way to get back in her good graces! Another bonus, since their patio is usable year-round, you can eat and bring your pet. Pets are always welcome on the patio at Divvy. As I'm typing this review, I'm reminded that we have a reservation there this Friday. I can't wait to enjoy another great meal with our friends and our dog. She's even on the doggie wall of fame at Divvy. :) read more

One of my favorite spots in Carmel is Divvy. The menu is fun, innovative and vegetarian friendly. You can choose from small individual dishes to share or get preset tasting boards (with sample size portions) created by the chef. The dessert menu offers little "shots" of some of the classics - mousse, crème brûlée, truffles. After a long hiatus, I returned to dine at divvy and was not disappointed! We did not make a reservation (encouraged, especially if on a Palladium show night) but had no issues getting a table at 5:30 on a Saturday night. divvy is a small plates restaurant, so dishes are meant to be shared. However, our group opted to each order our own tour board. The "Favorites" hit the spot with a caprese salad, chicken slider, taco, Brussels sprouts and the oh-so-creamy corn creme brulee. I was full! I love that divvy has so many gluten free, dairy free and vegan options. My GF/DF friend was particularly impressed, and I wished more restaurants had diverse offerings for all dietary restrictions. Also of note, they have a nice non-alcoholic menu! The blueberry nojito was a refreshing addition to my meal. I wish you could create your own tour board based on what sounds good on the menu, but that just means I have more reason to come back and sample my way through the menu. read more

I went to divvy yesterday as part of the Devour Indy Winterfest. I had read the menu last year at this time and really wanted to go try it and never got to it. They have been in that location for 10 years. When I got there I was a little unsure of where to park so I asked when I got in the building and they said yes anywhere there around the restaurant it's fine there's no restricted parking. The hostess took me back to the "sip" booth and I was nice and cosy back there and I could see everything that was going on in the restaurant. I called in advance and they did recommend reservations. My mom was supposed to come with me but she woke up with a migraine that morning so it kind of blew our plans to try the Nosh and the Savor value menu and just split them so I opted for the Savor and added the two items that I really really wanted to try off of Nosh. I added the corn creme brulee and did deviled eggs to my Savor option. I also decided to start my dinner with a Pear Rita with a red sea salt rim on the glass. It was a pretty good cocktail. The waitress brought out my deviled eggs and corn creme brulee with my appetizer portion of Savor which was the blue tortilla chips and the avocado verde. The corn creme brulee was surprisingly very good adding that crispy sugary topping to a creamed corn I would have never thought of that! The deviled eggs with the Wasabi on top really packed a punch and we're quite good. The avocado verde was okay but didn't have a lot of flavor. Then next came the main portions which they said was served on a slate board but it was actually a plastic board that was black to resemble slate. I liked everything but what I loved were the brussel sprouts with the pine nuts and roasted-garlic, the bruleed Brie with the black Mission fig Jam, apples, agave and a pretzel crostini. Those two items alone are worth coming back for. On to dessert. I ordered a spiked coffee that had chocolate cups with white chocolate Godiva liqueur on the side. So many times I have got coffee in a restaurant where the coffee was just lukewarm and this was not. My coffee was hot so that when I dropped that the Godiva filled chocolate in it it dissolved and made for an awesome cup of coffee. The dessert was a vanilla bean creme brulee with strawberries on the side and a dark chocolate truffle with peanut butter glaze and Godiva liqueur. The crust on the creme brulee was perfect and as I cracked through it I could see this was going to be a good dessert. I was able to leave enough bits of things for the hubby to try everything except for the creme brulee and the whipped feta because I ate them :) I took those items in a to go bag and he said he liked everything and his favorite was the bruleed brie. I was glad I got to experience divvy this year during Indy Devour Winterfest! I will likely be back to this restaurant again. read more

We found Divvy during an overnight date at Hotel Carmichael. We stopped in for dinner..when my husband realized it was it was "sharing plates" he was skeptical. We had no idea what to order, so we let the waiter tell us what to get. Literally everything we tried was amazing: my mind was blown and Divvy suddenly went to the top of my husband's Favorite Restaurant list. It's all about the experience and such a great concept. I don't even know where to begin except for WOW, what a great place!!! I don't know how I've missed this place as I come to Carmel regularly but I was happy to see the lunch specials on the Devour website. I went over for lunch on a beautiful day and sat outdoors. My waitress was a gem my entire visit. The menus all have such fun, unique options. I love seeing a tasting menu and wish more spots would hop on this trend. I much prefer mini portions to having to decide on one entree. I love that they offer regular water or infused with cucumber and lemon, the latter was delicious. My food came quickly and wow, it looked even better than it sounded! I started with the Brussels sprouts, perfectly crispy. I didn't find the pine nuts to be necessary but still tasty. The bbq chicken slider was perfect. The corn creme brûlée was unique, unlike any savory dish I have sampled before. The taco was my least favorite in terms of flavor. The fresh fruit was a nice touch to end with something light. I couldn't believe this was only $15 total! I have a rule that if creme brûlée is on the dessert menu, I must order it. They have a whole menu of $5 mini desserts which again is such a great idea. The little dish came out, garnished with fresh strawberries. It was divine! My check came with a housemade caramel, which I found endearing. Rarely do you get a mint or anything with a bill anymore. My whole experience was lovely and I cannot wait to return! read more

I've heard so much about divvy over the years I may have had my expectations too high. I was expecting a nicer, classy lounge style restaurant but the ambiance was kind of mediocre. I had made a reservation and when I entered the hostess was wearing jeans and an oversized sweatshirt...for a more expensive restaurant you'd think they'd be dressed nicer. The hostess really didn't seem too friendly and kind of set the mood. Menu wise there were a lot of options and variations which was nice. And with more people it's probably fun to order a few of their like boards to try out bites. My friend and I ordered indivual items, I got the Mac and cheese with jalapeño and tried their smokin pots which were bacon fat tossed fries.....now mine you these fries are listed in the VEGETARIAN SECTION! Yes...and when I asked they told me they didn't want to reprint the menu. So if you're a vegetarian beware! Now the waitress told me the fries could be made without the bacon fat...but if you don't care about the menu...I doubt you care about what's happening in thr kitchen. Food came out fast and it was just okay. Fries just were really greasy and Mac and cheese was just mediocre. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't great either. Drinks were okay. Disappointed in my first experience here and not sure I'll be back. Hope it's better for others. read more

I've been here a few times and posted a positive review before, but a change in their menu has prompted me to add a new review. The food here is always delicious, and now the vegetarian offerings are so much better! They now have a cheese flight as well as a vegetarian flight, and the sampler flight has 3 vegetarian options. Drinks are still delicious, and the service is attentive without hovering. Prices, too, are extremely reasonable; under $150 for four, with 2 rounds of drinks for three of us. I'm so happy I can now comfortably go here with my vegetarian family members and friends! read more

This old woman and my very handsome husband visited for the first time.......why did we wait so long???? We shared a grill cheese sandwich which was yummy, except bread was a little tough, maybe the Parmesan crusting on bread?? I would still order it again. We ordered Brussels sprouts, like we do everywhere. Well, Harry & Izzy's was in #1 spot, but DIVVY has skipped over them for #1 spot for Brussels sprouts. My husband didn't even know what a brussel sprout was 45 years ago and now it's his favorite vegetable!!
