So I'm reading the other reviews... 'not much to choose from other than pizza or subs in Whitinsville' ... so what's that mean?? All on it's own the Divine Thai is delicious! Tonight was my first time in since they've been there and shame on me... for I've been missing out ! My dinner was delicious- stuffed boneles chicken wing appetizer ... YUM! the Tom Yom soup with shirmp.. YUM! Pork Pad Thai -YUM! My friend had the duck -YUM! if any of you remember the restaurant before them had just redone the whole place so it appears the Divine just moved in.. and as a new restaurant you can't invest too much til you're established... so as far as the 'atmosphere' it's fine.. hopefully when they get on their feeet a bit they can make it a bit more cozy but for now it's fine. It's clean and that is important! Very friendly and super accommodating . Good food! We will definitely be back- looking forward to trying the curry after reading the other reviews!! This place is great. We get Pad Thai there all the time as carry-out. My wife has met friends here for dinner as well. The staff is friendly and cordial and they really try hard to make the food timely and with fresh ingredients. We are repeat offenders at this restaurant. The quality and quantity of the food are the main reasons for our high recidivism rate. My girl asked the owner for a job application, but he wouldn't give her one. He knows that she was only trying to work in the kitchen so she could steal their recipes from them for her own nefarious purposes. He's pretty sharp, that guy, I'll give him that. Everything that the fine people at Divine Thai put in your mouth is magical. This is the most underrated eating establishment on this side of the Prime Meridian. Remember the Prime Meridian from junior high? That line that nobody has ever thought about or referenced since? I know you've felt like that was a waste of time learning that crap, and I figure nobody likes to feel like their time has been wasted, so I threw that in there for you. You will find at Divine Thai that the different curry dishes are delectable, the creative sauces and combinations of flavors they cultivate is unique, and the staff is very warm and inviting. We have tried so many different entrees on the menu, and we have been impressed every time. You will be too. One time we ordered spring rolls though, and I'm pretty sure we got some kind of unborn rolled fetuses instead. These things did not in any way reflect my intention in obtaining spring rolls. They were cold and clear and had a certain sticky placenta texture to them. Horrified, we conveyed our dismay to the nice gentleman there, who graciously permitted us a substitution. Apparently, lots of people like the cold fetus rolls on their plate, though, and you may be one of these people, but you should just know that if you order spring rolls that what you are going to get are definitely not spring rolls. It's kind of like talking to a woman in that you can say one thing and they automatically assume you mean the opposite. I want to stress that this only seems to apply to the spring roll population in this establishment, however, and not everything they serve. They're pretty sane with the rest of the menu. If you order the duck, it's not like they are going to bring you an oil filter for an '88 Chevy Cavalier. They just have this thing with the spring rolls, and I thought you should know. I like you. My girl's only complaint is that Divine Thai doesn't deliver at her house forty minutes away. Don't give her too hard of a time about it, though. She has good ideas in other areas, like that idea she had about getting a job so she could burglarize their ancient Thai secrets. I thought that was a pretty clever plan, if not an elaborate and time-consuming one. He's pretty sharp, though, that Divine Thai guy, so if you want to thieve his knowledge, you'll have to think of something else. Free pro tip for you there. Fantastic meal! We'd just moved to the area and, being used to a more metropolitan setting where things are open past 8, we set out to find something. We ran across the website and called but they said they were closing very soon and couldn't deliver but if we drove there, they would stay open and cook our order. We were on the road and I couldn't pull up their menu due to terrible cell service. The owner just asked us what we like and made some suggestions. By the time we got there it was ready and absolutely perfect when we got home. They are a go to for us because of the more authentic flavors and the incredible service. read more

Probably the best restaurant in the area. The atmosphere is relaxing and since its a smaller restaurant the staff are very attentive customer's needs. The food was clean and light tasting. Two month ago my husband and I ate here, since then this is the only restaurant he wants to eat at. They have a good atmosphere. Their food is amazing and they always want to make sure you are happy with what you have. It is getting be a busy place, but they sit you very quickly. The price is very fair and they are always doing coupons in the local paper for a couple bucks off an entree. We have eaten there at least four times since the first time we went and my husband had take out from them last week and every experience has been wonderful. We recently moved from Newton to Northbridge and had formerly lived 6 min from Thai North Restaurant which has won many awards including Best of Boston numerous years. Divine Thai was better in some areas and equal in other. The fried rice is tasty, especially the basil fried rice. The beef and vegetables are fresh -and five star spicy will actually leave your eyes watering. We highly recommend trying them and will be regulars since they are 4 min from our home :) read more

Really a nice find on the way home to R.I. from Worcester. The waiter was outstanding. They took my wife's special order for rice just the way she likes it and hit it out of the park. My duck choo chee (my go to order) was excellent. The duck was crispy under the excellent sauce. The place had numerous regulars and the table next to us was raving over an off-menu suggestion by the waiter. They don't put their menu online, which made me hesitate, but it is a very large menu (two full pages of appetizers, for example). Crab rangoon, which is one of my wife's standards, were the best she ever had, which is saying a lot. read more

I live in Whitinsville and never knew this place existed. We decided to give it a try. The center of Whitinsville is not exactly a food mecca. Other close by offerings are mainly pizza and sub shops. It's a very simple looking entrance and easy to miss if you don't know where it is. It has seating for approx 50, a small bar and there are no doors separating the kitchen from the seating. I kind of liked that because it was very clean, and depending on where you are sitting, you can see what is going on back there. All the employees were very pleasant. The food was excellent. We got an appetizer of some sort of fried pork with spicy sauce and sticky rice and cucumber. The mixture of this was excellent. I had the Tamarind Tilapia and my wife had the Teriyaki chicken. The portions are generous, but the food was excellent. My Tilapia was so soft and had just a tiny hint of tempura crunch to it. The sauce was perfect and there was heaping vegetables of red and green peppers, carrots, chinese veggies and pineapple. I would mix in some of the sticky rice and everything just complimented each other perfectly. For dessert we decided to try the fried ice cream, we never had this before. Big ball of vanilla ice cream with a light and crispy tempura coating and whip cream. Again the combination was delicious. The setting was very casual. So if you want a meal that is extremely well prepared with good size portions at a fair price, this is it. The only thing I would change is their radio station was some sort of hip hop and techno stuff that really was not right for the setting. They also have quite a lot of patrons coming for take out. read more

Divine Thai is my favorite place for Asian food. My boyfriend he doesn't like any spicy food at all but believe it or not they can make anything you like from none spicy to the hot like hell! Seriously my boyfriend is also fall in love with this place. The food & drinks are Amazing! best Mango Mojito Ever! Divine Beef Special is also very tasty. I loved this restaurant when it first opened. The food was fresh, cooked perfectly and there was attention to detail. I have always gotten take out. The past three times the food was less than satisfactory. In fact, I threw it out. I don't believe that because you get a "bad" meal you should write someone off. I had the beef salad and the meat was raw again. I asked for medium as usual. I ordered house fried rice and got glass noodles. Not happy and would not recommend them. A solid find. I tried Divine Thai for the first time today. It's located right downtown. I had the lunch country pad thai and my guest had the mango curry. We both enjoyed our meals very much. The country pad thai, pad thai's spicier cousin, had just the right level of heat. On the other side of the table, the mango curry received some nice praise from my companion. I washed it down with a thai iced coffee. I would definitely go back the next time I am in town. It's definitely a nice addition to downtown. read more
