I am always looking for high quality, fun and highly-stylized coffin nails and stiletto nails in the Chicago suburbs. It is important to me that the salon appears to be very clean, and to get in and out quickly. I saw Tracy both times I have been there. She did a full set of acrylic stiletto nails with no chip polish in about 90 minutes. I had no issues or lifting during the 2 1/2 weeks before my fill. I was very happy. Horrible experience! I've been going there for years and unfortunately ran in without an appointment. I was given someone else (Kenny) because the girl who did my nails for years has left. He totally wrecked the shape of my nails and when I asked the owner for someone to fix them she told me she had no intention on doing anything and I couldn't dispute the fact I was overcharged! What should have been $8 worth of work my card was charged $80!!! She told me that if I tried to dispute the charges she would hold me there and cut off all my nails! Thank God my daughter video taped it and I'm filing a police report. She scared my daughter to the point of years. I say, I am a little pissed off at Diva spa nails, enough so that my latest visit (which was for a wedding) may very well have been my last. I give two stars instead of one because they sometimes can actually manage a decent job, but my past mani/pedi could've been done better by my pup. Bubbles in the polish, second coat of the mani didn't go all the way to the base/edges of the nail which was quite obvious with the color, bad filing job, pedi was the same as the mani with the slight advantage of being a further distance from the eyes and a more forgiving color, as well as a mediocre foot scrubbing. For $37 plus an undeserved $7 tip, forget it, I'll drive the longer distance to the place I like. I never should've settled for shit just because I was short on time, it was strangely almost embarrassing to let anyone look at them without an apologetic explanation.... Worst service ever. My pedicure was ok, until nails were polished, uneven and messy then she tried to "fix it" after I asked and made it look even worse. So then they charge my card $45 instead of $35 ($32+$3 tip) and refused to refund me saying I agreed to pay that???? Yeah because I'm giving $13 tip for bad service?? Was lucky I even tipped, I just wanted get out of there! When I called to dispute the over charge the owner is absolutely rude and accused me of trying to scam them. Low class dump. read more

After just moving to the area I was looking for a relaxing experience. This place was anything but. I went in for primarily a pedicure and after finding this place on Yelp and reading reviews, I decided to give it a try. It was the closest nail salon in area and if all went well I would certainly be back. Mind you it is November and about 30 degrees outside with snow on the ground and as I went bundled in my coat and boots I was greeted quickly and told to choose a color and go to the next room to begin my pedicure. There was no one in this room to greet me or assist with my belongings or even set up the spa foot tub. So I took my time waiting for anyone to come and decided to sit after removing my socks and boots. A man came about five minutes after I was sitting without a word started the water and walked away. The water was tepid and continued to get colder as I sat there. He obligingly added more warm water yet didn't speak to me. The pedicure itself was THE WORST experience I've ever had with a pedicure. It was painful, and uncomfortable. The water never stayed warm. The nail tech wasn't exactly gentle or had any regard to my flinching foot in agony. Once he finished my pedicure he directed me to the manicure area. He gave ABSOLUTELY NO ASSISTANCE. I had boots, a coat and my purse and I carried them all myself to the next area and he just pointed to the chair I was suppose to go to. He brought the bowl of soapy water and it was not warm at all. Also I've had better hand massages from my 3 year old niece. He was careless in his polishing technique leaving polish along my nail beds. He also gave pain in removing my cuticles and even made me bleed. He spent the entire time speaking another language and wasn't even dressed in uniform like everyone else. He made it seem as if it was a huge hassle to take care of me. If this isn't his job he shouldn't be there. I would have gladly waited for anyone else to tend to my needs and wants. I felt tense and uncomfortable the entire time. I didn't leave a tip and while he did bring my things to the nail drying station he left them strewn across the chair and even dropped my sweater without an apology. He left as I sat at the drying station. Needless to say it was as cold inside this place as the temperature outside. I also smeared my nail trying to adjust my pants. Thankfully another nail technician assisted me although she also gave me guff with regard to the color saying it didn't match (it was the exact same color, I always read the name on the bottles because they are very clever-- this time I chose "Viking in a Vinter Vonderland" perfect for the current season). I would give zero stars for this place but they thankfully had a show on that I could keep myself entertained (distracted) with through the pain/misery/awkwardness of the entire experience. I'm mad that I paid for such subpar services and to see that it was just this particular gentleman because many of the other technicians were making small talk and enjoying their clients presence and vice versa. Thankfully there are plenty of other places in the area to try. So I will continue until I find a place as warm, friendly and relaxing as some of the places in my old neighborhood.. read more

Got service quick, but I feel like they did it in a hurry other salons take their time and do a good job, I got a no chip and she left clumps and did not do the job right I am a cosmetologist and I know how it's done. She also attempted to fix a broken nail with some acrylic and did not take her time to shape it correctly and is bumpy as well . I've been to Diva Spa Nails a few times, simply for the convenience of it being close to home. Cons: My first visit was only for a french polish change on my toes - how hard is that to mess up, right? Well, the french wasn't even and line wasn't straight. Fail #1. Went back for a 2nd time last night for a Manicure. The girl seemed SUPER annoyed by the fact that I turned down her No-Chip Manicure service. Fail #2. The WHOLE time, all the nail techs were chatting with someone, who I assumed was another nail tech not working that day, in their language. Ever get that uncomfortable feeling that your nail tech is talking sh** about you? Ugh, I hate that. SO RUDE. Fail #3. My manicure was less than up to par with anywhere else I've ever gone. The girl used VERY little lotion when "massaging" my hands - to the point that my hands were red from the friction. Fail #4. Pros: Cheap, clean and new. It doesn't smell like a nail salon from 1987. That's always a plus, right? I'd rather go to Lovely Nails, personally. At least they are friendly. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND TALKED BACK WITH ATTITUDE. I've gotten my nails done here before but this time was ridiculous. I had such terrible customer service from Tracey and Jenny. I went in yesterday to get a french ombre no chip and instead of telling me it can't be done Tracey attempts and does a horrible job. It looked all blotchy and there was white nail polish on my fingers tips when she said I was finished. As she's doing my nails she asked if I wanted glitter(which I cant have because I'm in the military) and I say no thank you I cant have it. She almost got this worried look. As she continues to put the white on my nails for a french ombre and blots with a sponge tip she tries to put this sheer white over my entire nail covering the nude and almost making then entire nail white(which I cant have either). She does 2 nails and I let her know I didnt like it. She continues to do my nails and before I know it she tries putting the sheer white over my nails again. I tell her politely that I dont want that. She finished my nails and I'm hoping that they'd get better but as I'm looking at them they look horrible. Blotchy, white on more than half of my nail and theres white nail polish all over my fingertips. I let her know I don't like them while still sitting in my chair after she hurt my hands doing her massage. She says she can do them again with attitude but I didnt have time because I have to be at work. I stood up willing to pay for this mess and said I will come back the next day to get them fixed. As I'm paying tracie is yelling I dont care multiple times and throwing her hands up saying I said I liked them(which I never said) and totally UNPROFESSIONAL of her. NEXT DAY, I walk in to fix the mess and Tracey sees me and gets mad all over again. Jenny asks to see my nails and says why did I show a picture of french ombre with fake nails we cant do that here. I said politely I wish she would've told me that then before she had attempted to do my nails if she knew she couldnt do it. And Jenny goes off saying I said I liked my nails and started trying to argue with me. I finally got a different color and sat with KELLY who is awesome and quick and really good at what she does. I just want to share my experience cause this was totally BS and the customer service if screwed up here when the ladies can yell at you and when they mess something up get mad at the customer. Thank you again Kelly for fixing the mess Tracey did and Jenny needs to learn to listen to the customer before cutting them off with attitude. RANT OVER. never coming back here again. read more

My first experience at Diva Spa Nails was not good. I went to Diva Spa Nails & asked for a white matte. He said okay. At the end, I saw he had left them all crooked and SHINY. I told him I had asked for matte and he said "what's matte?" HOW on earth are you working at a place for nails but don't know what the fuck matte is? Finally they told me they didn't have matte & I was telling him that how come he didn't tell me in the beginning. This one lady who worked there started screaming at me! First off, they do AMAZING pedicures especially for the basic price ( they give you hot stone massages and sea scrub included!) That enough has me sold. Another great bonus they have is their punch cards, when you spend a certain amount of money ( i think its like $15..) they punch your card and eventually when you get all 12 punches you get $10 off the next time you go in! I would give them 5 stars but sometimes they can take a really long time doing your nails and they can get very busy = waiting. read more

Love this place. I drive 45 min to get mani pedi. I tried all the places by my house but nothing compares to this place. My nails last for 2-3 weeks, which hardly ever happened. Usually at other places after a weeks they are pealing or rising. My pedi was amazing. They use hot stones and oils and its included in the pedi. Not like other places where they charge $5 here and there for extras. They take there time. At the other places I felt rushed and didn't enjoy it. As a mom of 2 For me it's more then pretty nails it's time I take for myself And I just want to relax. Try them and watch you will see a difference is nails spas. read more

This place is right next to my house, and my cousin recommended them, but I still was hesitant to go because the reviews weren't great. I went to a different place in villa park. I regret it. I had never gotten a gel manicure and the place in villa park took FOREVER. Diva nails was quick, took about 30 min, and I didn't even make an appointment. The people were very nice and did a good job. So far it's holding up. It also doesn't have that "sweatshop" feel that some nail salons have. The prices are great. Tip them in cash, they cake credit card tips but they prefer cash and deserve it. read more

They are just rude here and with a million other places in town i do not need to be frequenting this one especially just for an ok service and water downed nail polish that takes three coats of polish and some glitter to make it actually look like something. My heart went out to her as traditional tipping guidelines state tipping an owner as optional. Imagine my surprise as a long time customer when it happened to me as well. Others that have reviewed this business are correct, there are a lot of nail salons just on Lake Street alone. So, it is a clean salon, don't think all employees are licensed techs, the results are ok and a 20% tip is no longer acceptable. Be prepared to be scolded. read more
