They don't listen to what you want, don't have the colors you requested for when starting the nails and then on top of it they leave streaks and bubbles in your nails and just ignore you when you mention it. I didn't have the time to argue and just paid and tipped and left, but I'm leaving a review because I genuinely don't feel it's worth spending money here. Gel full set is expensive and the fill in should have been done better than this. I will not be coming back, ever. Disappointed my nails will look meh before a bachelorette trip. read more

To me this place is just ok. I moved recently and this salon is closer to my home then my old regular one. My manicure was alright but idk if you can call it a manicure if they didn't clip your cuticles. I made an appointment for a dip manicure and was asked several times if I also wanted a pedicure on the phone and at my appointment. The first color I chose looked nothing like their sample. So I asked to switch before she put it on my nails. The second color I chose still didn't fully match their sample. It was much darker on my nails. They had me use the UV light while soaking old dip off my nails which personally I didn't like because it slightly burned. I also didn't know until after my manicure they charge extra to use a credit or debt card. You have to either Zelle or Venmo them. My nail tech said she only accepted tips in cash. I was not prepared for that and wish they would have told me while booking my appointment. I'm also annoyed they charge extra for a card usage and tbh the payment things just seems...weird? It's an ok place but I don't know if it will replace my normal salon. I'll just suck it up and drive farther. read more

Clean facility and everyone is "nice" however I went in there because I was looking for a place to have my eyelash extensions done close to home instead of out in the city...well for $60 they placed individual lashes 7mm synthetic and called them "eyelash extensions"...not exactly what I wanted at all. I specified that I wanted eyelash extensions exactly what I came in with but shorter. So now I have individuals that are lasting about 2 weeks however as most people know I could have gotten true eyelash extensions that would have lasted a month for this price. So just a heads up they are overcharging for individuals which is not very legit in my opinion, kinda a bait and switch tactic if you use their Groupon. I came in and asked for a set with two colors and a couple of white flowers on each nail. they charged way too much...($120 for short medium sized acrylics) this was not including the tip..I came in here not expecting to be charged a lot so i ended up getting something more cheaper (reducing the amount of flowers to 1 in each hand.) this bumped down the price to $70. The set was super simple yet pricey. The lady was also super persistent on trying different nail art on my nails and she added a hint of red to one of my nails even though i continuously said "No thank you! Not what i want." until she saw it didn't look good and she had to remove it. And it left a red stain. Also..SHE DIDNT EVEN TAKE CARE OF MY CUTICLES!! I've never went to any nail salon or nail tech who has NEVER taken care of the cuticles. This set barely survived 2 weeks as the nails would begin to loosen up. A couple fell before i decided to take them off which was a piece of cake. SIDE NOTE: i don't do any hard labor, Im gentle and careful with my hands with ANYTHING i do. So this was a big surprise as many sets from my other nail techs have last 4-5+ weeks. In conclusion, I do not recommend going here if you want something extravagant and long lasting. Because otherwise you'll end up paying $120+ for a set that lasts you barely 2 weeks. trust me, i came in here for a last minute set because my nail techs were all booked, not worth it. After my horrible and PAINFUL set was done he said $40....I asked why and he said shape and length . I went to get a dip manicure because I needed to get my nails done ASAP. This was the closest salon to me, so I gave it a chance. However, as the pictures show, my nails were ruined after 3-4 days. Actually, Tony told me to REPEATEDLY that if I came back the following week, we was going to give me a free manicure. I came back with my daughter, I was going to pay for hers, and he said he wouldn't give me a manicure unless I paid. I told him that he was the one who told me to come in for the manicure with the other nail tech as my witness, and after he took off my polish, he walked away. The guy in charge I must say was pleasant and I thought I finally found my to go place (somewhere closer to home). All was going well, pedicure was good . However, I can't give a five star for one reason. My nails did come out ok, not perfect, not bad... but I did ask for a manicure too, meaning my cuticles to be cut as well.... (I had the powder). I mentioned to the lady doing my nails several times that I like my cuticles cut and I like them cut deep.. when she started to do the powder, I asked again. She said she does after, so I just let her be. I am not pleased with this. I pick at my cuticles and for her to ignore my request just simply annoyed me to the point that I refuse to go a second time. Then I noticed that my eyebrows were done terrible (she left plucked one that now has left me with a bald spot in the brow). All would have been forgiven, if only she would have cut my cuticles as I asked her several times !! Despite her lack of customer service ... I still tipped her well. I've been spending a lot of time in Addison lately, and make it a point to stop by NN for some maintenance when I'm around. For years now, I've been getting my brows done by various estheticians and have never felt wholly satisfied. I wasn't blessed with plump, Brook Shields-esque eyebrows like my sister... instead, I'm left to grapple with the anemic arches that the fates have dealt. Everyone has one thing about themselves they'd like to change (ok, maybe not Adriana Lima) and mine sit squarely above my eyes. Silly brows. Since I've started seeing the girls at Nice Nails, they've groomed, shaped and plucked my brows into creatures that behave. A well-shaped set of brows open up your eyes and ultimately, gives a fresher, younger appearance. Getting good brow = increased interest from the opposite sex. BELIEVE. My manicures have been fast + flawless, too. Next time I'll try their last extensions - only $30 and they last up to two weeks! I think it's time to begin practicing my bat and flutter routine. read more

I tried this place with a friend of mine because it was Black Friday and our regular place was closed. We both got no chip manicures. I have to say that 3 weeks later we were both pleasantly surprised that we both had our manicures and both were perfect. I've never experienced this before. Usually a no chip lasts about a week for me because I'm pretty rough on my hands so I was pleasantly surprised! All that being said, I do have some concerns about the place. It didn't seem to be very clean. Like I'm sure OSHA would have a field day in here. I've been to my fair share of nail salons and this one was definitely on the "needs a deep clean" side of things. The nail tech also used tools on me that I wasn't entirely positive had been cleaned between uses. Now, I'm not sure if they were or not but I think it should be pretty clear that you're getting clean tools every time you get a manicure. I think this place has the opportunity to be an extremely awesome place if they just clean it up a bit and follow sanitizing procedures more closely. My boyfriend and I went in to this family operated salon for the first time Wednesday of last week at 1230p for a mani/pedi for him and a pedi/ no-chip manicure for me. I had made an appointment here the day before because it was the only one out of 5 other salons in the area I had called that could do my boyfriend and I at the same time. The staff was friendly and thorough (which he really needed) however, my 'no-chip' manicure starting chipping in 2 days. I've received no-chips before in my area and never had this issue.... I do think she rushed my manicure a little. They became outnumbered by customers when they had 3 walk ins, 2 appointments and only 3 techs (two of which were occupied by my boyfriend and I) I would go back but not for a no-chip manicure. I really liked this place and don't want to badmouth their livelihood but I think they could benefit from hiring an additional nail tech or two during peak hours. read more

I have been coming to this location for 8 years.... After calling to schedule an appointment on a Monday morning, my opinion of this place completely changed! Kim is the owner... And I've had her doing my eyebrows for years and even when she hadn't done such a great job I have still come back to her! Not anymore... My friend and I both showed up to our 10am appointment and was given attitude by Kim... After telling her that I called to schedule the appointment... She said no you didnt and argued with me saying "all you say is you be here in 30 min" well obviously I called gave you my info and said ill be there in 30 min for a mani pedi... If you had an hour wait you'd think you should've told me that before me showing up!!!! Kim had never given me attitude before... As a bartender and in the tipping industry I've always taken care of her and tipped her well over 50% of services! But not anymore! I will not be given attitude in front of other patrons! I had my first visit at this place last Sunday when I decided mid-day I was over due for a pedicure. I stopped going to the nail place a block away from my house after I got paronychia on my finger after getting a manicure there. And the other place near me I have been going is closed on Sundays. So I set out to find a new place to go. I didn't have my phone on me to check for other nail places in my area so I just started driving down Lake Street, figuring I would run into a nail salon sooner or later. That's when I noticed Nice Nails. I got there at 3:50 and then noticed on their door that they close at 4:00 on Sunday. I almost felt bad walking in to ask for a service 10 minutes to close. But they were so super accomodating and had no problem taking me. They have different "levels" of pedicures, from the very basic to a more expensive one that includes several add ons and extra massage time on your feet. At first I decided to just get the basic pedicure but 5 minutes later changed my mind and got an upgrade, which included a longer foot massage, hot salt scrub and a couple other things I can't remember. The girl was pretty quiet and polite. She did a good job. She did ask me the most random thing though. She asked me how she could go about getting an I-Pass for her car. Kind of random. I'm used to them asking me things like "working today?", "live by here?", etc. So I told her that I didn't know, my husband takes care of all that. And that was pretty much the extent of my conversation with her. The back and forth chit chatting between the workers in their own language that you normally find at these type of salons was pretty much nil the time I was there. Anywho, back to the service in question. The pedicure was good, but my big toe is chipped a week later. Which usually doesn't happen other places but it could just coincidental. As for the environment, cleanliness, etc, I found this place to be pretty much average for salons of its ilk. They didn't use a liner for the pedicure tub, but I've never seen a place use those, even though they probably should. I didn't see an autoclave in sight, but that doesn't mean it isn't there. The girl did wear gloves, which she kept having to adjust on her hands because they appeared to keep slipping off on her. Overall, a good experience! I came in this shop with my best friend, I found this place very disrespectful. When I entered the nail salon they took about 10 minutes to greet me and ask me If I need any assistance. Some of their vibes I wasn't feeling at all. I don't like that they only speak in their language when others are around that makes me feel very uncomfortable, if you have people in your place at work you should engage in conversation with your clientele in English and not just talk to your other coworkers in your own language. I do like one specific employee in this salon though, Lisa she's very respectful and courteous to all of her customers including her customers friends. So I thank you Lisa. read more

I have stopped at Nice Nails every few weeks for the past several months to get manicures and pedicures. I have never waited more than a couple minutes to be seen and the technicians take their time to make sure you're getting what you're looking for. They are also very friendly. I would highly recommend trying their new dip powder manicures. Even though they are a bit more costly than a regular no chip they last at least twice as long! They literally don't chip at all and you don't have to expose your hands to the UV light. I won't ever go back to a no chip.
