My nail technician was an older gentleman, so I Thought it was a genuine mistake But it was not.I am 32. I started doing my nails when I was 15. I know exactly how it works. The second time I asked because I had the same technician And he proceeded to do my nails, the same exact way But this time around, I asked him make sure am I getting the gel set? He said yes yes it is a gel set. That's what I knew they just assume people that get a Groupon don't know what they're doing and they can use cheaper product c and save some money. I Contacted Groupon already And today I called them. Did I mention the first one nail broke and the day after another nail broke? I can't help but think that if they gave me the right set that they would last. I called them first sight. First thing I did was ask him how the gel set is made. Are they using a UVLED lamp? The girl that answered the phone said yes, of course. So I asked her then why was I given acrylic when I paid for full gel set of off Groupon. So she decided to tell me oh no, this is just like a powder we used for gel in different. It's a see-through clear gel. I don't wanna argue. I had to do my research first. I called my friend who is a nail technician. She owns her own salon and I asked her and she laughed and said no they gave you acrylic. There Is no gel set like that. I called them back. I explained the situation I said I was lied to twice while I was doing the nails and then I was like on the phone when I called about it I told them I want a refund because this is not a product I paid for this is not what I want and they lied to me and scammed me on purpose. The girl on the phone technically told me no too bad too sad she said oh well, it happened not even an apology, nothings. Time to go to them I doubt they ever give you the actual product you paid for it seems like they just care about saving a buck and Not their clientele. What are the disappointing and infuriating experience. Maybe if you pay the actual price they'll give you what you asked for because they steal from you when it's a Groupon. I feel disrespected and very taken advantage of.

When I called, I indicated to your nail tech about the issue I was experiencing and asked if it was normal for matte to turn yellow/gray, as this was my first time getting a no-chip matte. Your nail tech advised that had NEVER happened to a matte manicure and said I had to come so they could take a look at it. When I came in the next day, you provided different information than what your nail tech advised on the phone. I explained to you the paint was chipping and I do not recall you stated it was fading. The issue was addressed when I came in and explained. You simply told me it was wear & tear but did not offer to re-paint.

First off, quant little Itasca where I went to school as a child and grew up. Love downtown Itasca. Surprised more businesses haven't squeezed their way into this area. I heard Danielle was THE gal to see for my waxing and hair cutting/dying needs. I'm not a person that dyes my hair, but one day when my little bit of gray takes over, I'm sure I may have to consider it. First off, you walk in this place and it's relaxing from the word go. Great atmosphere and wonderful staff to top it all off! They have a little boutique in the front with some cutesy little tops and jewelry. just darling! They offer manicures, pedicures, spa pedicures, NO Chip manicure (one of my faves), acrylics, make up, hair cuts for BOTH MEN AND WOMEN (and children), Up-do's, Coloring, highlites, perms, shine treatment and the new craze--- Brazilian Keratin Treatment. Pricing is comparable for this quality of service. Danielle offers a referral program (Danielle specifically) and offers her new clients a special deal on a cut and color...I may have missed all the details, but the word "Free" was involved. :) I had her wax my eyebrows. I don't really require much waxing but she did such a great job. Shaped them up beautifully and made me feel like I did something nice for myself. They offer a variety of waxing services, including the brazilian wax, lip, eyebrow, chin, back, chest (wish I could get my fiance to partake in a few of these), legs and underarms. Need a facial? The got 'em! I am thinking of perhaps partaking in one myself around the time of my upcoming wedding. Oh man, did i mention that they offer Swedish massages for only $60!?!? And word on the street is that the woman that does the massages here is SPECTACULAR!! I'm so excited to have found this place. I decided to tag along to see what I thought and they were good enough to squeeze me in too. Guess what??? It's the same Danielle who used to cut my hair for years many moons ago! When I moved from Itasca to Schaumburg, I ended up choosing a salon right around the corner from my then new house. I can't believe that I've found her again. She's been in this profession for fourteen year now...wow, how time flies! And now I feel a little older than I would like. But I digress. Anyhow, I decided to eliminate the Oscar the Grouch/Tom Selleck look that I've been sporting for a few weeks and opted for an eyebrow and lip waxing. The waxing room is nice. Very clean. They don't double dip in the wax which is greatly appreciated. It would be almost as bad as double dipping in the chip dip at a party which is why I'm glad that they stay away from that practice. ;-) Anyhow, I agree with the nickname. Oh, Gentle Waxer, you left me painfree and very relaxed! I was surprised because my face usually hurts for a while after a waxing, but not this time. The salon itself is divided up nicely. They have a couple manicure stations setup in front by the windows, so there is good lighting. The other windowfront is the home of their boutique. Filled with jewelry, handbags, hats, scarves and really cute tops - there's a lot to look at in that space! I need to devote more time right there on my next visit. The pedicure station is near the back of the salon for a more relaxed feel away from the guests coming in and out the front door. The stylists are setup throughout the Center along the walls. Overall the prices are what I would expect and I'm good with that. Everyone that I encountered was friendly. I like that a lot. I like feeling welcomed.
