I LOVE coming to Diva Nails in Novi. They were recommended to me by a client at their Haggerty location. From my first experience with the owner (Van), I was greeted by my name and with a glass of Champagne for a Mani-Pedi. I've been a client of Diva since August and I would never go back to my old manicurist. Van, Sara and the staff are always so courteous when I walk in the door. Even if the place is busy, I'm treated like I'm #1 and important. Fast forward to last night, my mom and I decided to walk in around 7:30 to get myself a mani-pedi and her a mani since she has never been there before. It wasn't until the girls started my mani that I didn't even know they close at 7:30. Other shops would have kicked us out and said come back tomorrow or hurried with both of our services. But no. Sarah and the other gal took their time with hot towels, hand and foot massages and still gave us EXCELLENT customer service. So thank you Van, Sarah & the staff at Diva. I'm so glad I found this gem. I have been looking for a new nail salon to stick with and I think this might be it. After researching a few spots in the area, the good yelp and google reviews persuaded me to try this place out. I called 30 minutes ahead on a Friday and they were able to take me, the salon was easy to find, and I was not waiting for a long time to be seen. This salon is amazing! I was having an issue with the way my nails turned out the first time and Van completely turned it around for me. My nails are gorgeous and she fit me in their schedule right away! Super clean, and friendly. Extremely accommodating staff. I went today for the first time and they were very nice and the facility was really clean! The atmosphere is a lot better than the one in Northville that I won't go to. They can do just about anything, which is always great! The only reason I gave it 4 our of 5 stars is because the work was a little messy and they don't have enough workers for the amount of customers they have! I got a regular shellac manicure and it lasted forever and still looked great. 3 weeks, week 1 up north swimming and jet skiing, week 2 at a work conference golfing, week 3 in Alaska doing the craziest outdoor adventures and my nails still look great!! I have never had such a bad experience at Diva Nails Wixom. I made an appointment 2 days in advance for 2 sets of acrylic nails. We waited for 45 minutes before being helped. I was forced to change the color and design I wanted because only one stylist was capable of doing them and she was busy, even though I requested this stylist when I made my appointment and i told the lady doing my nails, Kim, that I requested another stylist. I've been going to this salon for about 2 years and the last 2 times I have came I've had to wait HOURS to get my nails done. I'm very disappointed and upset with my experience. read more

Customer service is AWFUL! I went to go get dip and the lady put the wrong color on and when i told her she said "just do a different color next time" then i went back a second time with my mom and the lady had to audacity to ask my mom "do you have cash? Why are you paying with card?" Then she proceeded to file my dip off and by accident ruined the color and told me "next time you pick a color that isn't purple because purple doesn't turn out right" when she literally just ruined them! Then she dipped my fingers into the powder one more time to fix her mistake but didn't even file down the dip after that and it was instantly thick and looked awful. Overall very upset with my experience. The color was supposed to be purple but there's white streaks from where she messed up. I used to come here every single month because i genuinely enjoyed their work but it's not worth having your nails done bad for the amount you pay. read more

Mediocre at best. I came into diva nails only because it was close to my work and a few coworkers told me to try it out. So basically they have a very little regular polish selection. They have maybe two rows of polish and they're all crusty covered in polish and almost finished. My nail technician actually put nail polish remover to make the polish not as thick! I came in for a fill in and a color change on my toes(but I quickly realized that I was going to be late for work if I had my toes done so I just told her the fill in was it) She also fixed my broken nail but she glued on the nail all crooked. She also removed another nail for I don't know what reason and it really really hurt!!! The equipment she used was all dirty and looks like it hadn't been washed in a loooonnngg time . Then she painted my nails and they looked fine but as they were drying my whole left hand had air bubbles in almost all the nails so she repainted them and they looked okay. I have coffin a shape on my nails from before and she completely messed up all the nails. All the nails look different and it's really annoying.The total of ONLY FILL IN was 25 DOLLARS!!!! FOR A FILL IN???!?!? Never in all my years have I gotten charged 25$ for a fill in. 25$ should be a full set not a fill in. I gave her a 100$ bill because that was all I had and she didn't give me correct change I had to remind her to give me another 10$ . She also got a phone call form a sales man and she was cussing at him through the phone while doing my nails . Very very unprofessional.Throughout the time I was getting my nails done she was chatting loudly with her friend as well which was annoying bc she would frequently stop to laugh or look on her phone or talk . Then I told my coworkers about what happened and they said they got charged 15$ -20$ for their fillins. I just want to know what kind of business doesn't have a set price for everything ? If I were able to give them 0 stars I would! The owner Van at this location is beyond disrespectful and rude! I have been a regular customer of this establishment for many years. I go into the shop on Grand River and request a Shellac Pedicure and Shellac Manicure with an overlay. I am very particular about how my acrylic is laid so I requested that only Van do my manicure. She immediately got an attitude! Rolling her eyes and speaking under her breath in whatever native language it is that they speak. She clapped back at me saying "the other girls here are really good..." I didn't care if they were her best, my request was my request and I told her that if she wasn't going to do them the way I requested then I would just take my business elsewhere...AND THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I DID! Wish I could give no stars. I had an appointment for 4:30 and arrived at 4:15pm. I will start to say that my pedicure was horrible. The guy who did it did not greet me and acted like he barely wanted to touch me like I was dirty or maybe because I am African -American. He polished my toes and the polish leaked all over my big toe and I had to correct him several times. He totally rushed my pedicure I got no massage and he laid the hot wet towel on my toes as if he didn't want to be bothered. He kept going to the back and I was hoping he wasn't using the bathroom and coming back with the same gloves on to do my toes. He seemed pissed off. Furthermore, I proceeded to get my nails done in gel fill in with Sarah. She usually does a great job. I was told after the drilling that they could not find the color I wanted 107 which was written on the polish bottle that I had on my toes. They looked for the bottle and couldn't find it. Then I was asked if I wanted a different color I said no I want my nails and toes to match. It was now 6:18 and I had now been there 2 hours. They asked to redo the polish on my toes and I said no it's what I wanted and I didn't have any more time to waste. The man at the register states "you've only been here 45 minutes because that's how long a pedicure takes". I said no I have now been here 2 hours as my appt was 4:30 and I walked in at 4;15 (I like to be prompt). How is it my fault you falsely advertise that you have colors you can't find. Someone should have told me before it was put on my toes. I asked how Will I be compensated for choosing a color I don't like or want? They said well we offered to change it for you? Never once saying "hey we will knock off 5.00 or 10.00 dollars-nothing. No customer service skills whatsoever. Sarah just sayin there looking dumb with nothing to say. Every other person that left out of the building got a merry Christmas happy holidays, while I got nothing and I paid 65.00. My money is just as green as anyone else's. You should take note diva nails done your facility is dirty (my husband wouldn't even get a pedi because he said it was dirty) and your customer service sucks and I will tell any and everyone I know not to come to Diva nails novi. Your only saving grace was the close location but I will ensure to travel past you and go back to VIP nails-Wixom. You just lost a successful and well connected returning customer. horrible pedicure, the lady did not have a clue what she was doing. I asked her to take care of some rough skin on the side of my feet and she said she could not take care of it because they no longer are allowed to use the grater!! I don't have cheese growing on my feet!! Just slightly rough around the edges. My feet overall are in very good condition. When I arrived they asked me to wait by the pedi area and I stood there for about 10 minutes while the lady finished up her manicure. She filled up lukewarm water and told me to put my feet in. My feet were in the water less than 30 seconds and she told me to take out my foot! She cut my nails so badly and they were rough and crooked! She took less than 10 minutes to do everything, normally they put cream on your feet and legs and massage them, well I got nothing!! $30 later plus a tip of $5.00, it's the worst pedicure I've ever had and I will not go back there. Why do they not have a price list so you can see how much you are going to pay. I am not sure of the lady's name but it said KT on my receipt, I assume that was her initials. read more

I went to get my nails done and a polish change, I usually get a fill in and a pedicure this time i just wanted a polish change for my toes. The manager never specified that a polish change with regular polish is $15 and a polish change with Shellac is $30. I receive my service and the guy told me my total is $72. Now they don't have a price list so I ask why so much? They tell me shellac nail polish is $30 and I tell them that is UNREASONABLE for a polish change. I pay because I didn't want to make a scene and call the store when I leave. Sara tells me that the price for shellac and pedicure is $45, so since I only got a polish change its $30! She keeps telling me the same thing, and telling me to "calm down". She tells me that she's going to have the manager call me because I "must not understand". Also telling me if I couldn't afford I should've have gotten it done because its a "money thing" as she said. I was previously there a week before to get my nails and toes done like i always do, the nails looked really bad, a bunch of uneven acrylic, uneven shaping, they looked nothing like the picture I showed her. I wasn't upset because she tried, I had to come back THREE DAYS LATERS to get 2 nails fixed!!!! its now been about almost a week since I came back the second time to get a WHOLE fill in. So, in a week and a half I had to come back three times. Every time I get a pedicure they never take their time, they rush and do not do a good job. Once again I don't complain for the MEDIORCORE job they always do. Now i draw the line ,I was completely ripped off, scammed, and its just sad that you guys don't have a price list so you guys can make up different prices and people wouldn't notice. I come every two weeks and the price is always different , but I always get the same thing. I wont be back and its just so sad that they are scamming people and most people don't know it. I have been going to Diva Nails for years! I used to go to the location in Northville, but the new Novi location is closer for me, so I have been going there. I am very particular about my nails, and Diva Nails does an amazing job - the best around! The salon is clean, the pedicure chairs are the best I have seen and the staff is extremely friendly. I have referred many people to this salon and each person has since stuck with Diva Nails only! After only 1 to 2 visits the staff remembers you by name, which is hard to come by. Van and her staff truly care about their customers and about the work they do. They even have a 2 week guarantee on the shellac, but I can tell you, you won't ever need to use it. The shellac on my nails always lasts and the only reason I have to come back in is because they have grown out. My only complaint is that my shellac peeled after only 2 days and I was out of town so I couldn't get them fixed, I think it was a fluke thing because they normally last 2 weeks or so. I arrived at Diva Nails today with a botched set of acrylic nails that was done a few hours before at a nail salon in Bloomfield Hills. Immediately when I entered I was greeted into a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I explained my situation to a nail technician Van and right away she put me in a chair and began fixing my nails. The nails that I arrived with were bumpy, uneven, and thick, and Van told me that it was totally unacceptable for that salon to let me leave like that. As each minute passed while she was working on my nails, I could see that this new manicure was high quality. Constantly throughout the fixer upper manicure, she asked how my nails felt, if the shape was good, and if there were any concerns that I had about my nails. I could tell that Van took pride in what she does and she cares a lot about making the customer happy! I left Diva Nails today completely blown away, I wish that I could get my nails done everyday just so that I could sit in that salon and feel amazing.
