Now that I got my nails fixed and went back to my usual spot... I have to leave this review. Not only did I pay almost 70 dollars for a new dip manicure, it was horrible. The shaping, the grow out...literally everything. The man who did my nails ATTACHED THE DIP TO MY SKIN. I couldn't even explain why my nails were hardly growing out. Two of the whole nails came off within 10 days of the service. They were cracked, uneven, and lifted. My usual place is minimum one month and that's barely chipping! My usual place apologized for me going through that. They all felt so bad for me when I showed them the nails, literally grimaced. Don't come here, at least for a dip manicure. read more

I have been going to this place for years, but I will never be back after my experience this weekend. A new, older gentleman that I have never seen before did my full set and absolutely butchered them. I have always been a fan of Connie, but she knowingly let someone that was inexperienced do my nails and sat right next to me while he did them and gave him instructions while he was doing so. If you knew he was not capable of handling my request, you shouldn't have let him do it in the first place, but you would rather get the money and lose a longtime customer. Unforgivable. At first I was impressed. I was told by Connie, who did my nails that she had over 20 years experience... she was pleasant & talkative. There was an appointment that came in after me, while they waited she spent a lot of time talking to them (the overwhelming pot smell from them was making me sick to my stomach.) I asked for nail reshaping into a coffin shape, they ended up being off and not uniform. I then asked for a marble design. Initially I was fairly impressed. There were some bubbles but I could ignore that. I had my nails done on Saturday, by Wednesday, I have noticed the polish is cracking... then today, it actually started chipping & peeling. I spent over $80, for a fill, design & pedicure. I'm extremely disappointed in the quality. Extremely disappointed. Gel polish normally lasts 3 weeks or longer for me. For these to not even last a week?!? Are you kidding me?!! The pedicure... it was so so. The lotion they used ended up giving me hives & the calluses were not thoroughly removed. I'm now on vacation & have to find a salon to remove the gel polish, correct the reshape & repaint my nails. I was thinking of going back to them again, but not this location. read more

I stopped in today to get a pedicure and manicure. Started with a pedicure, picked a color and got into the chair, and the gentleman who was doing my pedicure proceeded to watch YouTube on his phone while he was completing my pedicure, he also didn't let the water soften my feet before he was exfoliating them, he also use the sugar scrub without getting my legs very wet and then was very aggressive with the scrubbing to the point where it hurt, then my nail polish was painted terrible. When he went to put me in a chair to do my Manicure, I told him that I was actually going to just go. At this point the owner Connie asked me what was going on if everything was OK and then I proceeded to tell her everything that happened during my pedicure, she offered to paint the toe that was looking the worst, I declined and then she proceeded to charge me full price for a pedicure that I told her was the worst I've ever had in my life. I found this place when I lived in Wixom. I have since moved and it's a lot harder for me to get out that way during business hours now, but the highest rated salons in my area just don't come close. They want to give you what you want here and are willing to spend the time it takes, rather than slap it on and rush you out the door. Connie is a delight. Conversation is fantastic. They do excellent work and it's a great environment. Their prices are also super reasonable. After too many bad experiences in my new, higher income area, I will definitely be making the drive back here from now on. read more

Dewey is the absolute best. I've been here twice already (just changed salons- a friend recommended this place) and he is so nice to talk to and does an amazing job! He mixes his own acrylic powders and makes his own glitters and is really passionate about his work. I came in with an ombré nail photo from Instagram and he replicated the photo perfectly on my nails! It's been 12 days and I can barely see regrowth- how many can say that about their acrylics?? Horrible! I wish I could give zero stars. I went here today to get a full set and my nails are absolutely horrible. An older man did my nails and I should of known there was a problem. Not only did it take him forever he also put way too much acrylic on them. They are so thick and bumpy. I immediately went home and tried to fix them myself. Upon removing the nail polish which was painted on so thick I had to soak them. I noticed a few of the nails are totally crooked. I will NEVER go back to this salon even if you paid me. read more

I used to go when Connie was there and she was great but she has moved back to her other store. There is a guy name Mike who doesn't speak english working there. He is horrible. Two of my acrylic nails were ripped off a day later. The acrylic nails tips are so thin the tips are ripping off. This was after he fixed it too! It also took him 5 tries to get my nail color the color I asked for. This experience with Mike has happened three times. I was told Connie had to fire him but he was back when I went two weeks ago. I will never go to this place again. It is too bad Connie isn't there and she continues to employee Mike. read more

Wish i could give 0 stars. This place is genuinely awful. First time i went they messed up my dip. didn't even file them down at all and they started peeling the next day. Then i went back to get them redone. I asked for shellac because i didn't trust them doing my dip again. I thought it looked good until 2 weeks later i went to get them redone (at a different salon) and then the nail tech was taking off the shellac he said it was acrylics. I asked for shellac specifically but i guess they put acrylic on my nails. Super duper unhappy and will NEVER step foot back in there. read more

I came in and there was absolutely no use of anything to keep customers entertained other than hearing breathing. Then I told them I wanted coffin shape and they gave me two file strokes short of almond shape, and didn't listen when I tried to correct them. Then I told them I hadn't decided on a color and they decided one for me saying I had picked it. Very hard to communicate between customer and nail stylist about wants and ended up with the wrong shape and wrong color nails that were stacked with too much acrylic and only lasted a week. Very unprofessional. Normally I go to Fabulous Nails in Wixom. But I won a gift basket at work. There was a gift card for ten perfect nails in the basket. So knowing 10 perfect nails and Wixom nails are affiliated I decided to give it a try. I called and made an appointment and told them about the gift card I won. I had an appointment at 2:45 and did not get seen until 3. Unclean conditions. I was having fake nails removed and getting a manicure for my natural nails. 2 different people worked on my nails. Then when it came time to pay (before my nails were painted) they would not take the gift card. Not a pleasant experience. Only reason I gave it a 1 star rating is because the review wouldn't work until I gave it at least one star. Will never go back not even for free. I do not recommend this place to anyone read more

I gave this nail salon two stars for a few reasons. One, their safety practices. While getting a pedicure with a friend, I witnessed both techs sharing tools and the tech next to me put his tools on the floor when he was not using them. The pedicure lasted only a few days and chipped. Moving on to the gel manicure, it was ok but only lasted a few days. I don't know if the polish was old or their lights were old but I had chipping, peeling and cracks in my nails. The atmosphere was ok, typical budget nail salon. I would suggest to the techs not to smoke in front of clients outside as the smoke does come right back into the salon. Also, their selection of polish colors was out dated. I was pretty unimpressed and will not be back. read more
