Wanted to like this place but unfortunately after two trips, (actually 3, I'll get into that later) both were not great. First trip I got a fill, and just a shellac nail polish. On the surface they looked pretty good at first but then after inspecting more the nails weren't painted All the way to the edges and after a day or two they looked grown out. Figured it was just a fluke and I'm honestly not picky so I went back. Then I got another fill. I got black tips painted on. They looked pretty good by the time he was done so I left. When I got home later that day I was doing things around the house and suddenly I had black nail polish on me, then I saw it on a curtain I opened and all over my hand. After inspecting there was such a thick coat of nail polish on the tips, once it was sealed In with the clear shellac top coat it was bursting bubbles of nail polish that were leaking everywhere. It was a Sunday so they were already closed so I called Monday morning. Monday I went in and the same person who did my nails was going to fix them. He first told me I shouldn't use the color black because it won't dry. I suggested maybe because he didn't use shellac paint for the tip, it did not harden correctly (he used a design brush) then another person there suggested it just didn't dry because "of the way I was holding my hand under the lamp". I didn't realize there were multiple ways to hold your hand under the lamps, I've also never had this issue. I just had them repaint my nails a full color since most of the tips were ruined anyway, and the nail artist suggested I shouldn't have tips (Sounded like he did not want to do them again) Anyway needless to say after 3 trips, I will go to another salon. read more

After going to a couple different nail salons around the area I will now only go to DMG to get my nails done. Both the husband and wife do a tremendous job taking their time and making sure you get what you want. They are also super friendly and the establishment is very clean. read more

If you want to get your nails done here you better hope you get the wife because if you get stuck with the husband be prepared to be uncomfortable the entire time and walk out with shitty nails. He does your nails like he's upset the entire time tugging and pulling and shaking your hand. I asked for a simple French tip design which I got with the wife before with no problem. he said he couldn't do it So I picked a simple color and he didn't add the base polish... it has been three days and my nails are already chipping. ALSO my cuticles have never been this bad. The good thing is they only work by appointments now so if you're making your appointment just make sure you ask for her and not him. read more

I have been going to DMG for years now and they are the only people I let do my nails. I moved away for school for 2 years and didn't have them done because once you go to DMG it's hard to like any other place. Danny and Mia are the sweetest owners and they never rush, they make sure your nails are done right and done well. I think the poor reviews of this place come from years ago when the wait would be hours but as of now they just do appointments and you walk in and get serviced right away. I cannot speak highly enough of them and I always have people compliment my dip nails because of how natural and thin they look, a lot of places don't do dip manicures well but Danny and Mia are experts. If you're looking for a reliable and clean place to go for your nails call and make an appointment ASAP because you will never go to a better nail salon than DMG. read more

I went in for a manicure and I had the worst experience ever. The salon was getting busier so I don't know if my technician was rushing but she used an electronic buffer to remove my cuticles without even soaking them and continued even though I was flinching and bleeding. She ruined my nail beds and in a attempt to clear up, ended up putting on layers of nail polish that wouldn't just dry. When I took the nail polish off, I saw my nail beds and they now look different from my nails because she used an electronic buffer and ruined my perfectly good healthy nails and I hope they grow out but even then it'll take a while. Worst nail experience. Avoid at all cost. read more

I have been going to DMG nails for years now, and it is the only nail salon I go to since my sister is incredibly loyal to them and she is the only person I get my nails done with besides my grandmother. The first issue is their prices. The ones they have listed on their wall are very fair, but it is not what you will be charged. Every single time I have gone there, there is an unexplainable $10-$20 variance in our final total. When I go with my grandmother, they overcharge the h*ll out of her. We started adding up what our total should be after realizing we were being taken advantage of. The next time they charged my grandmother an extra $35. I asked why our total was so high, and the employee looked shocked, as if she expected me to let her take advantage of my 75 y/o grandmother. She mumbled something I couldn't understand, and my grandmother urged me not to cause a scene and ushered me out. The second issue is appointments. They will not hold your time slot and you will often find yourself waiting an extra hour because they will take walk-ins over you. The third issue is that if they are busy, which they often are, you will not receive quality services. Often times they have rushed while doing my acrylics so they can get to the next customer. Dan will skip multiple steps that he always does when other walk-ins aren't waiting. The last issue is that they exaggerate their services in order to receive extra money. My sister came for a fill-in and got charged the price of a complete new set of acrylics because "her nails were too long and it required extra polish". They literally overcharged her for double what a whole bottle of that polish costed online (I looked it up). If I actually got my nails done regularly, I would find a new salon. But considering this one is a 5 minute walk away, I only go twice a year, and my sister always pays for us, it's not worth it for me to go through the effort find a new one. But if you are someone who gets your nails done regularly, this is not the place. read more

The only place I trust to touch my nails Been going here for over four years and they have never disappointed me! Always get my shape perfect and have a great selection of shellac colors. Don't expect to walk in without a wait though. They are almost always busy. Most of the nail techs do a really nice job and I've been going there for years. I am sad that I am no longer a customer. My daughter and I both had appointments today and we always have to wait. Today DMG was in the middle of taking care of other customers and 15 minutes after our appointment time they took another customer over us. When I asked why I was told that this person had been waiting awhile. When I asked why we make appointments if they are going to take customer without appointments before us. Dan said that they (DMG) have to take people who come in and have been waiting. He said they don't wait for their customers who have appointments. When I began to explain that I didn't agree with that, that we were early for our appointment, and if that is the case they shouldn't make appointments, Dan just walked away from me. My daughter and I left and we won't be back. Poor customer service and this was from the owner. Not a very good way to create loyalty from your customers! I am extremely disappointed in Dan's rudeness and lack of service. read more

Poorly ran business. Only 2 working. Waited 45 mins for a pedicure. When they finally addressed us, they asked us to sit at the pedicure station chairs. They didn't turn on the water - just moved us from sitting in the waiting area to sitting in the pedicure chair. After that proceeded to take two people who had just walked in before us. Called ahead for an appointment for two, they got us in within a half hour, even with every attendant working with a guest. I was very pleased with my nails and service. The lady who did my nails found me the perfect pink and did a fantastic job shaping my nails. For a shellac manicure $27 is a fair price in my book. Keep in mind they don't allow you to leave tips on your card, cash only. I will definitely be back when I'm in town next! read more

I thought this place did a decent job when they were new, however, my last time I was here, was most likely my last time period. I called ahead and asked if they were busy. They said, no it wasn't and to come in. I came in and there was about 5 people waiting. Giving them the benefit of doubt, I figured they were friends of people who are already getting their nails done. All the nail technicians already had people they were attending to. So, I wait. After 20 minutes, this one lady stands up who was most likely waiting forever before me stood up and told them that she had an appointment an hour ago and still she had to wait, she then proceeded that this was not the first time they were late. After about 30 mins I get up and leave and head to one of my normal nail places in Canton. Which is a little further away, but so worth it. I called them ahead on my out of DMG and They said they weren't busy. I got there and didnt havr to wait and was able to get my pedi and mani shellac done. About 30 mins of getting my nails done, DMG called me back...mind you it's been 2 hours since I was in their chairs waiting and They told me I can come in now I kindly declined. But so unprofessional. I'd rather have them tell me they were busy and come back in an hour than have me wait. Never Again! read more

I just got home and am steaming mad! I called and asked if I could make an appointment for 2:30m with the lady there for a pedicure and a fill and was told no but 3:00 would work. So I stop on my way home from work and arrive at 2:30 knowing I'm early but OK with it because by the time I go home it would be time to head back out to be there at 3:00. I sit there till 3:18 when the lady who always does my nails comes up to me and asks if her husband can do my nails because there is another lady who has a 3:30 appointment. I say yeah but I had a 3:00 appointment she says well she missed her appointment 2 weeks ago (this is my problem how and you knew this when you seen me walk it at 2:30 and could have told me) so she refuses to start my nails and her husband needs me to wait till after he finishes doing someones nails and a pedicure! It's already now 20 min past my appointment time!! When I walked in they should have explained to me the mix up and I would have come back made or another appointment for another day! I would rather be told NO then to waste my time! They wasted almost an hour of my time even more if I had stayed and I still need to find a place to get my pedicure and fill done! This is not the first time this has happened I have waited one time for 2 hours past my appointment time because I had the time but didn't have anything I had to do after words so while I was irritated I waited and was told it wouldn't happen again. I make appointments instead of of just being a walk-in because I'm a busy person and need to schedule my time to as I'm sure many people can understand. This was just blatant disrespect and poor customer service! I always tip more than 20% so this didn't' happen because I'm a bad tipper! So if you have all the time in world she does a good job on your nails but don't' waste your time making an appointment. I got acrylics done today which came out terrible!! It was suppose to be ombre which I apparently payed extra for that was horrible too. It cost me $40 which I did not know before hand and when asked for a refund on the aweful job done I was denied. I will never go back. Very unprofessional in my opinion!! read more

They do the BEST shellac manicures! I don't know what they use or do differently but theirs always seem to last longer than anywhere else I've tried. Pricing is very reasonable but be aware they only accept cash tips so you can't tip on your card. read more
