I've lived in the area for only about a year and a half so I didn't have a go-to tow truck service or tire shop like I did back home. So when I got two flats coming from work the other day, I was in complete distress. I didn't know what I should do, but I knew that with two flat tires, I would have to be towed somewhere. Completely frustrated with my luck, I began looking up companies in the area. The first number I called was District Towing and Beebo answered immediately. He lightened the mood and made me feel as if I was talking to a close friend. He even made suggestions when I told him my lousy plan of getting it all taken care of, which he said would include unnecessary steps and cost more money than needed. He gave me the number to a tire shop in the area and told me that it was his most trusted company. I told him I'd give him a call back once I spoke with the tire company, that's when he informed me that he was the owner, which shocked me because he seemed so interested and compassionate about my situation as if I wasn't just another customer. I called around at various other tow companies in the meantime since I couldn't get the recommended tire shop on the phone, but they all gave me the impression that they didn't care to help unless my service was guaranteed. Needless to say, I called Beebo back, who was just as delightful as before. I told him that I couldn't reach the tire shop and wasn't sure if they had the right tires, he said, "Then my driver will keep driving around to different ones until we find them. We don't do bad business and we wouldn't treat our customers like that." I was speechless. In less than 30 minutes, in after work traffic on Minnesota Ave, Bo showed up and had my car on the truck in no time. He even called twice to inform me of his whereabouts. He too made light of the situation, making me laugh the entire time. Once we got to the tire shop, he communicated everything to the staff and they were able to have my car ready in less than 20 minutes! I want to thank Beebo and Bo the tow truck driver for not contributing to my frustration, but instead making my experience less frustrating altogether. Thank you both so much! District Towing is the best! I had to get my Jeep Cherokee's car battery jumped yesterday. AAA came around 3:00 pm, jumped the battery, but concluded that I needed a new alternator right away. I've been driving Ole Blue since 2007 as my first car, and he is still going strong. But, Robert at AAA mentioned that Cherokees' alternators start to go after 10 years or so. Well, I got the impression from him that I needed to fix this ASAP, to avoid draining/ruining my 2 month old, brand new battery. He gave me the contact information at District Towing, but said he doubted that they would be open this late in the afternoon on a Saturday. I called Beebo just to check, and was SO relieved that he answered the phone and was 100% ready to help me get my Jeep back to normal that afternoon. I couldn't get through on AAA Customer Service line, so Beebo made a few calls for me and got everything in place for the tow within minutes. He ordered the alternator and necessary parts ASAP and said they could get it all done that afternoon, before 6pm. He was very nice, calm, and assured me that my Jeep would be running like new - with a new alternator - in just a few hours. As a young woman who knows (embarrassingly) little about cars, I was freaking out a little bit that my brand new battery would be depleted because of the faulty state of the alternator. This is my first Yelp review, but I had to do it because of my positive experience. This was a non-emergency towing situation and actually the first time I ever had a car towed. I called them to request a flat-bed trailer for my vintage convertible and let them know where my car was and where I wanted to go. He said the driver was on another job, but would call me when he was on his way. I asked for a 20 minute heads-up. Shortly thereafter, I got the 20 minute call from Mike saying he was 5 miles away. I headed to my car and met Mike in exactly 20 minutes as promised. No waiting! VERY IMPRESSIVE! Mike was super-helpful and friendly. We talked about the best route to take my car (avoiding GW Pkwy, etc.), and I followed him to our final destination. Fee was exactly what I expected, and they charged my credit card. I was extremely pleased with their professional and timely service and saved their number in my phone for the next time I need towing. Recently, I called District Towing (DT) to come to the aid of my little brother who accidentally locked his keys in his car. His car inexplicably lost electrical power around midnight, and while exiting the vehicle to check the engine compartment he inadvertently locked his keys in the car. I called DT on my way out the door to meet my brother, and surprisingly DT roadside personnel arrived within ten minutes of the dispatch call. While unlocking the door proved challenging, he was able to unlock the door within ten or so minutes. More importantly, my brother provided an account of the mechanical failure to the DT roadside personnel. After quick evaluation under the hood, DT discovered loose battery cabling. Upon tightening battery post connections, my brother was able to restart his car and drive home rather than requiring DT tow his car to a local dealership. This was very much a good customer service experience despite the circumstances! read more

Very happy with my service. They got to me sooner than promised. Mike was so friendly. He explained everything that he was doing and took several steps to make sure that my motorcycle was not damaged during the tow. He arrived quick, did his job quick, set my mind at ease with his level of experience and helped me obtain additional unanticipated reimbursement documentation in an expedient manner. A+ goes to Mike, and by extension District Towing! Two things to add: 1. They are probably the only shop out of 10-15 in the area that didn't make me feel like an encumbrance for having a motorcycle (every other place was audibly frustrated upon hearing I had a motorcycle. 2. They were the cheapest there was. I only get a limited amount of reimbursement from my roadside assistance company, which is not enough to cover a motorcycle tow, so I priced out most (if not all) of the other shops that picked up the phone and District Towing was the cheapest. read more

District Towing is wonderful. Us old folk might say that District Towing is 'the bees knees'. When you call ask if Mike is available. Mike was on time, knew what he was doing, and is just one helluva nice guy. He called me when he was getting close, and when I told I hadn't been able to walk to my car yet he said he saw me and would stop to pick me up. Mike recognized I was a senior citizen and was solicitous of my well being without being condescending. Trust me, Mike is one of the world's 'good guys'. And kudos to District Towing for hiring him. And by the way, District Towing, do what you need to do to keep this guy working for you and not the competition because there's no advertising that can compare with a satisfied customer. Don't misunderstand me, the rest of the people working for District Towing may be just as good as Mike; but Mike is the only one I know and he's superb. BeBo and District Towing = THE BEST. Wednesday night in the pouring rain, my car breaks down. I call AAA and they send District Towing. If there is a next time (and hopefully there won't be!) I will request AAA send District Towing. So friendly, professional, and with safe, quality towing. I have a VW and unbeknownst to me, VW's are hard to tow due to the low carriage. The oil often gets damaged from hitting potholes. District Towing had the right vehicle and equipment and a knowledgeable driver (Bebo, the owner) who made sure my car was delivered to my service station safely and in good shape. To top it off, he offered to drop my back at my apartment if I needed a ride. I had a ride, so didn't need to take him up on it, but his offer said to me that this place goes above and beyond to deliver exceptional service. Waited for another tow company three hours and their driver said we needed two small tow trucks to move two cars from our alley driveway. He said he could not clear telephone pole on opposite side of the alley. Well I called District Towing before he came and told them I'd call back if it did not work out. The young man said he'd be here in 30 minutes when I spoke to him earlier and he came within 20 minutes after that other company walked away. Well what great luck it was for us! Up the alley comes "Beebo the Magician!!!" He pulled the cars out of the impossible driveway loaded them up to his truck and delivered them to their destination in record time. District Towing rocks!!! Beebo the Magician is Awesome!!! It was a pleasure to meet him. I will tell relatives and friends about District Towing and their number is in my phone now and forever. District towing was first on the scene when my truck was recovered by police at 2am in Northeast DC. When I called District Towing to ask about my truck, I was able to talk to the tow truck driver, and he actually went out into the storage yard to see what needed to be repaired on my truck. The owner Beebo advised me on a lower cost alternative to get my truck back in driving condition. After several phone calls with District Towing, it became evident that Beebo and his crew try their best to make sure their customers are happy. I have dealt with other towing companies before and I know that most will charge absurd rates and use your vehicle as collateral. District towing is by far the best towing company I have hired, with respect to customer service, professional drivers, and honest rates. read more

Beebo and co have gone above and beyond for us more times than I can count. Quick, responsive, reliable. I have seen A LOT of tow companies that have come and gone. I can see why these guys have been around for as long as they have. They have helped countless numbers of my customers from simple jump starts to towing from random spots. I have even had to call them for my own personal car. Had a flat on 66 just outside of the DC line. Of course it was the a cold night in January. Of course my elderly mother, father and pregnant wife were with me. And of course no spare tire. 15 minutes later, car was hooked up. Had the family dropped off at home, while I handled the car. This company defines "above and beyond". I was involved in a bad car accident outside of DC and owe so much to the guys at district towing. I'm from Florida and was completely unfamiliar with the area and was at a complete loss for what to do, who to call, and where to go. The driver was a saint. He talked me through what to do with my car, worked tirelessly to find me a rental and drove me 30 minutes outside the city to find the only available rental car (July 4th weekend). He made me laugh even in the midst of the extreme stress of the day and made the whole incident feel manageable. Needed a tow yesterday, and AAA sent District Towing. Beebo (part owner) came out, loaded my car up, and we set out in rush hour traffic in his clean, nice truck. Along the way, he pointed out landmarks and gave me tips on getting around town, which was so helpful since I relocated to the area two weeks ago. He has a great sense of humor, which is a delightful asset considering that he deals with people who are having bad days, all day, every day. His pride in his business and his customer service are exceptional- genuinely some of the best I've come across ever, in any industry. I could not give him/District Towing a heartier recommendation. I called AAA for help and they dispatched a towing company that kept me waiting for 2+ hours without any proactive notification that they were changing their arrival time. I had to cancel this tow because I could not wait any longer. When I re-scheduled with AA, I advised them that I wanted them to dispatch District Towing due to the great reviews on Google and Yelp. I am glad I went looking for reviews and asked for District Towing. They were very quick to contact me after being dispatched, their driver set the right expectation about his time of arrival and when he did show up, was professional, did quick work and made me feel like my car was going to get to the mechanic safely. I dutifully locked all the doors to my friend's car and then realized I left the keys in the ignition. We tried a few homemade remedies before we had to admit the rain had gotten the best of us. An hour too late but also several hours, possibly, before the break-point, I remembered I have a AAA membership. District Towing was the contract company who came out. AAA promised someone within an hour, but Kenny came in about ten minutes. Despite it being midnight, rainy, and a job, he was exceptionally polite, friendly, and asked questions that seemed warm without being cloying. I cannot say ENOUGH how wonderful my experience was with district towing. I teach in southeast DC. After work tonight, I discovered someone had tried to break into my car and steal it. The window and ignition were both broken. The first towing company I called said it would be an hour until someone was there. Over an hour later they called to tell me they couldn't even tow my jeep. THEN I called District Towing. So glad I did! From the moment I called, they were prompt, professional, very courteous and gave me great advice. Honestly, they saved ME money in the long run! Everything worked out just as Beebo said it would. It was the Friday after the big snow and we had what I thought would be a complicated situation but he made everything easy for us. He was able to pick up our car, which was locked with the windows up and stop by our house for the keys before taking it over to the dealership so they would have it before they closed their lot. I would also like to say what a nice guy Beebo was. I was sick with what turned out to be a stomach virus and Beebo arranged everything with the towing so I would have to do as little as possible. read more

Thirdly Kenny was the person to come out to help me, and he was phenomenal, extremely nice, polite, helpful, and gave awesome advice! The good news is that, in my experience, District Towing great! I have used them on two separate occasions. Each time I was more than satisfied, I was astounded! They are timely, helpful, honest, and professional. Their fees are more than competitive, and struck me as reasonable. Since AAA has a contract with District Towing, I have made a by-name request, but found it necessary to light a fire under AAA to ensure that they honored my request for my District towing. He arrived when he said he would and took care of the problem quickly I agree wholeheartedly with Ben H. (reviewer on 8/13/16) -- fantastic job, super friendly, and he absolutely knew exactly what to do to extricate our car from a very tight space.
