The pricing is worth the level of assurance I received, especially with the warranty and follow-up. I needed my vehicle turned around quickly, and they accommodated my timeline without cutting corners. What stood out most was that I never felt pressured at any point. Instead, they went out of their way in a respectful and professional manner to earn my business. As someone who usually wants a second opinion, I appreciated how they clearly explained what needed to be done, why, and showed proof of the work. They delivered exactly what I needed and got my vehicle back to me on time. I'll gladly continue to bring my business here moving forward.

The staff was incredibly attentive, honest, and welcoming from the start. Even though it's a smaller shop, they have a comfortable waiting area with free coffee, snacks, and water, which was a really nice touch. They took care of my oil change and filter without an appointment and finished in less than an hour and a half. What really stood out to me was their honesty and generosity -- they even told me my next oil change would be free, which I've never experienced before. I've been to dealerships and many other auto service places around the Washington area over the past 20 years, and I can truly say this level of service is rare. This was my first visit, but based on this experience, they've earned my five stars. I'll definitely be coming back and highly recommend them!

lol. No. So I had my…read morecar towed there because the engine gave out but the lights/ accessories were still on. They told me I needed to fix a rotted tube (valid). Oh, and that I also needed $2200 additional dollars of "work" the majority of which was new brake pads and rotors. When I asked how much of it was brake pads and roters, they said $1700 dollars. Also they told me the car was pulling HARD to the left. I had not experienced this symptom. If I take my hands OFF of the wheel while going forwards it drifts to the left..but I figured my tires needed rotating and an alignment. They were very very insistent about trying to sell me BOTH brake pads and rotors. I asked if I could just break pads. They said no. Keep in mind I brought my car in because I had an ENGINE problem. Not a brake problem. When I called back the next day, all of a sudden it was $1400 dollars to do the work they recommended. $900 of which was brake pads and rotors. I told them I needed to think about it. In the end, I said I would just pay for the work already done and pick up the car. They said "they turned off all of the dashboard lights" . When I got there, the mechanic that tested the car said that "it wasn't hard, but the car pulled the left and he never experienced that before" Uh huh. Sure. They didn't mention at all the original problem, and why the engine might be shutting down while it was on. Luckily repairing the hose seemed to fix that. By that time I was ready to just leave. When I actually turned the car in, the low air pressure light was on for the tire. So they indeed had not "turned off all the lights" nor done me the courtesy of filling up my tires after charging $230 just to DIAGNOSE the car. There was an additional charge for the labor for the rotted hose. The total I paid was around $350. And get this. When I went home, bought an air compressor, fills up the tire, the drift to the left STOPPED. These people were about to try to charge me $1700 for a symptom that could be fixed with $2.00 worth of air. Do not come here.

Bottomline Upfront: although local and extremely convenient, I will never return…read more (1) Josh sold me on a quick turnaround (to evaluate/diagnosis) but failed to keep his commitment with the time. My vehicle was only evaluated once I said I was coming back to get it (because they had yet to perform the diagnosis and at that point, I made an appointment elsewhere). And I understand work may back-up, but a phone call or a text with some update ("we didn't get to you yet but...") would speak to a level of customer service this location is not yet ready to offer. (2) When I did get the diagnosis, it was wrong. (3) No consideration at all on doing even a small thing to perhaps earn my business. When I dropped off the car, the low tire pressure light was illuminated. Simply putting air in my tire would have been a SMALL step towards customer service; and although I would never pay the ridiculous (and wrong!) estimate to fix the initial problem, something like putting air in a tire would've gone a long way. My 2016 Infiniti suddenly stopped shifting into 3rd gear. Not wanting to attempt to drive further than necessary, I called this location. I spoke with Josh who said they could take a look at the car that day or the next morning ("at the latest"). I called about 3 hours later to check on the vehicle; Josh said they couldn't get to it until the next morning. The next day, Saturday, I called a few hours after they opened (at 11a). This time, Mike said they still had not looked at the car. I decided to go get the car and arrange to have it sent to the dealer. At that news, Mike said he would call me 2 hours later. He did. They also sent me a text with their findings: car needed a new transmission based on the code they pulled after connecting the car to the computer. Note: there were no "check engine" light on. The estimated repair was $11k. The diagnostic process was just over $200.00. When I picked up the car, Mike said that he knew the check engine light was not on when I dropped the vehicle off but that it was now illuminated because of their investigative work. When I dropped off the car, the tire pressure light (only) was illuminated. It's cold, I knew I needed to add air to one tire. The check engine light was NOT on but the tire pressure light was...did they confuse the two? I then had the vehicle towed to the dealership. The diagnosis was different. The transmission valve required replacement; not an entire new transmission. Still a pricey job but SIGNIFICANTLY less than the $11k quote from Nielsen's. Additionally, the dealer found that my tire light was on because of a slow leak in the tire - they plugged it at no charge. Significant difference in customer service...today, even the most basic businesses' do things to give the customer a decent experience (ie., wash the car; fill window washer fluid; check/correct tire pressure). This place did the absolute bare minimum AND got the diagnosis wrong. Beware.

This was as pleasant an experience as could be for an unexpected car problem. An alert came on as…read morewe were coming home from the grocery store around 9PM on a Thursday night, indicating that the pressure in our tires were low. We got home and into the garage and then inspected the tires, and sure enough, there was a big nail embedded in one of them and it was already looking shlumpy (technical term). Luckily, Metro Motor Georgetown Exxon was still open, so we called them and they told us that, while the repair guy wasn't there anymore, we could bring in the car and leave it overnight. There are other garages in the area that technically let you do this, but they weren't still open with staff present and we didn't feel comfortable just leaving our car somewhere without talking to anybody or filling out paperwork. The only other option was to let the car sit overnight, during which time the tire would have gone totally flat, and then have it towed to a garage in the morning (we don't have a spare so joining Triple A and having them come provide flat tire service didn't seem like an option). So we were very lucky that this place was still open until 10 that evening. When we arrived we were able to park out front - though there weren't a ton of spaces left - I guess everyone else had the same idea we did. We went inside and the guy at the desk was helpful and said we could just leave our car and he would move it where they needed it. We filled out some really easy paperwork and left a key, then walked downhill to M St. and caught a bus home. This could have been a really nerve-wracking ordeal the next day, except that the garage called us first thing in the morning (I LOVE that they called us and we didn't have to call them). The guy who called said that in the case of a nail puncture he could just patch the tire for $35 instead of giving us a totally new tire. Which was very upstanding, because he could just as easily have replaced the tire and charged us more. We immediately got dressed and got an Uber to the general neighborhood of the garage and packed in some other activities - we dropped off a package at UPS, grabbed a quick bite at a local bakery, then went to the garage and our car was finished and waiting for us. It took about five minutes to go inside and pay, we got our key, no hastle, and drove our car right out of the parking lot and back home. Handled differently this experience could have been a stressful, disruptive, all-day ordeal. But Metro Motor Georgetown Exxon made it seamless and instead it felt like running a minor errand that barely took us out of our way.
