Went to get my side mirror replaced. Quick service, reasonably priced, friendly - I was very happy with their work.

These guys fit me in the same day, and gave me a great price on replacing my disks and breaks. I'd definitely use them again.

The owner/manager Abid checked the car with the diagnostic computer and said it looked ok but he would put it up on the lift and check. I left the car and five hours later he called to say the belts all looked normal so the problem *might* be a sensor that would cost $375 + $90 labor. I said I'd wait to have it fixed and came to pick the car up. I asked how much it would be, he said, yeah, I'm going to ask inside, he went in the store area ahead of me and as I entered I heard him say '..Ten.' I went to the cashier and said, 'I have the Subaru.' He said, 'Yeah, he said $45.' I was sort of surprised that it was that much to check the belts, but what really was weird was just the way both men acted like the other was in charge of setting the price. I trusted everyone right up til then. So 3 stars for a lack of transparency.

Although the mechanic on duty was working on a different car - and with under 30 minutes to closing time - he agreed to take a look at my old Altima immediately, was willing to also do an oil change and quick check-up, looked at stuff from past maintenance I pointed out to check on, and helpfully answered all my questions. Though prices weren't clearly outlined in the beginning, the total was very fair, the service fast, friendly, and professional. Thank you, I will come back.

$21,245 repair, 102 days, used parts, zero accountability…read more I repaired my 2023 Toyota Highlander Hybrid (VIN: 5TDBBRCH2PS107289) at Crash Champions - Northwest DC (4121 13th St NW). This was an extremely bad experience. Claim #: 09-87F4-66Q01 Final repair amount: $21,245.15 Repair time: 102 days Despite the size and cost of this repair, the quality and professionalism were unacceptable. What actually happened: * The repair took 102 days from drop-off to pickup. * The official estimate shows extensive Non-OEM / LKQ / aftermarket parts used on a 2023 vehicle. * Only one tire was replaced with a different brand and different wear level. When I asked to replace tires in pairs, I was told "insurance didn't approve it." * The license plate frame was returned old, broken, glued back together, and reinstalled instead of being replaced. * If visible items were handled this way, it raises serious concerns about what was done in areas that cannot be seen. Crash Champions blamed the insurance company. The insurance company stated they paid the repair and that quality decisions were made by Crash Champions. Responsibility was constantly shifted. I was personally told that all issues would be corrected. I even received pickup messages from Michael Blackwell saying the vehicle was almost ready. Nothing was fixed. No one followed up. No one called back. This was a $21,000+ structural repair, not a minor job. The lack of quality control, transparency, and accountability is shocking. Strong warning: If your repair has not started yet, remove your vehicle from this shop immediately. Once your car is in, you may lose control over the quality of what gets installed. All of the above is documented in the official Crash Champions repair estimate.

I was excited when they told me I could drop the car off almost walking distance from my house. Reviews were so-so, but I figured a simple repair wouldn't take too much time or energy. I came to the shop and a guy yelled at me for parking in the wrong spot. Okay? I figured he was just having a shitty day and wrote it off. Happens to the best of us. I go in and the office is rowdy, but the enterprise rental lady was super sweet. I decide to deal with the noise and stay. It's a body shop, not an office after all. I wish I wouldn't have dealt. A week later my car is ready to get picked up. My girlfriend dropped off my rental car and picked up my actual car. Two things to note here A- Her father owns a body shop, but I was too lazy to drive all the way to SE to get my car looked at. B- USAA waived my deductible because they're awesome. I informed the receptionist when I dropped the car off and showed her the paperwork proving that I was free and clear and that USAA waived everything. Cherner Collision refuses to give her the car because they insist I owe them $500. She tells them to call USAA because I do not. They argue with her. She tells them again to call USAA because they waived my deductible. Cherner Collision makes her sit their for an hour while they verified information I'd given them previously. Night begins to fall and they finally clear her todo a walk through and take the car. At dusk. In the dark. None of the mechanics could be bothered to walk her around the car and point everything they fixed out, however. Thankfully she has a background with cars and could evaluate everything and determine the car was good to go. Everything's perfect until she gets home and realize they didn't put my damn license plate on my damn car. I call Cherner Collision Center in a panic and ask them where the hell my plates are. He tells me they're DEFINITELY in the drivers side door. Or the glove compartment. Or the trunk. Or the rear window. Or the back seat. They then tell me to just put the front plate in the back; I have GA plates so I only have one plate. The one back plate is gone. I again call today and sit on hold for 20 minutes while the guys calls the mechanic who works on my car. They both have a million excuses and agree to "look around I guess." I guess? I want my damn plates! To add insult to injury, they replaced the bottom lip of my the bumper on my shiny ass dark gray car with a dull matte black part. The paint job is also off and my bumper is now a darker color then the rest of my car. My car has been a garage kept 2013 with absolutely no fading. Now it has 1/8th of a terrible paint job. When I brought this up I was offered a half hearted "well bring it back then." Dude. You've got to be kidding me. I am pissed at Cherner Collision and could possibly have been appeased if their customer service wasn't so "your problem not mine" about everything. But now I'm pissed that I have to send my car back to a shitty shop to have what shouldve been an easy fix fixed again. UPDATE- They never found my plates. My car sat in a lot for a MONTH AND A HALF while I waited for replacement tags from the GA DMV. They also scratched the hell out of my paint job. I have chips everywhere that no one noticed at dusk and now have to pay out of pocket to get my car repainted. I try to support neighborhood businesses, but never again in hell. I'll youtube it before I ever let them touch my baby again .

Service: 10/10 My primary contact was Mike, however I spoke with many other staff in person and over the phone over the course of a week after I had my Crosstrek towed in with a destroyed transmission system. Everyone was courteous, helpful, and responsive. The new transmission they procured was practically brand new and installed professionally. The experience they provided me as a customer was as excellent as the final bill and they are now my go-to shop for transmission and suspension work. Thus, I strongly recommend this business. When I had my car towed in, it was after hours, but conveniently they had an overnight key/car drop off system that was secure and easy. The lobby was clean, organized, and offered free cold water.

Had my vehicle being serviced at local mechanic and they notified me that the PTU (Power Transfer…read moreUnit) that is part of transmission on all-wheel drive vehicles was leaking badly and needed to be replaced. They did not work on transmissions and advised me to take it to a transmission repair shop. Called the Ford dealership and they told me to replace it would run around $3300. For comparison I called some transmission shops and got ahold of County Transmissions and spoke with Hampton. He told me that it would run $2300 including labor if it needed to be replaced. They had good reviews so I decided to take it to them and save the $1000. Took it there on a Monday and Hampton told me they would have it done in several days. By Friday had not heard from anyone so I called them and was told that it was next in line to be looked at which would be the following Monday. My vehicle had been there five days and had not been looked at. On the following Monday, Hampton called me and said that it did need to be replaced and to replace it would run $3200. This was $1000 more than $2300 as he had initially told me and about the same as what the dealership would charge. Mentioned this to him and he said that the $2300 was for a used PTU that they would get from a salvaged vehicle, and a new one was $3200. He had not told me this when I first called and I had of course assumed the initial quote of $2300 was for a new one. Didn't even know they would consider putting a used one a vehicle because how would you know it didn't have issues. In light of this new information and for the fact I feel it was a bait-and-switch, I decided to take my vehicle to the Ford dealership and have them do the repair. The dealership's warranty on the PTU was much better and I know am getting a genuine Ford part. With an independent shop am probably getting a cheap aftermarket part. If I moved to another city or say was traveling and had an issue with it, I could take my vehicle to any Ford dealership and they would honor the warranty. If County Transmissions had done the work, then I was out of luck. Had to take an Uber back to County Transmissions and pick-up my vehicle and then take it to the Ford dealership. This costs another $50 on top of the $50 Uber charge had already incurred when I took my vehicle there and had to take an Uber to get back home as I live far from them. I opened up my SmartTag GPS tracking app as had placed an Android SmartTag GPS tracking device inside the vehicle awhile back. Was very surprised to see my vehicle had been driven around Vienna and appeared they were using it to run errands as it was stopping at various locations. So in the end I was out $100 in Uber fees, they had my vehicle for a week and nothing was done after Hampton telling me they would get to it in several days, plus they apparently used it to run errands. I would certainly not recommend this company in light of everything that happened. Note: Saw that Hampton had posted a rebuttal on my initial review where he states that the initial quote was an estimate to repair the PTU, but this is not true. The PTU is something that is replaced, not repaired, and he gave me a quote of $2300 to REPLACE the PTU. Plus they didn't need to be driving it around to determine where the leak was coming from since it was obviously leaking when I took it in and it had to be replaced. When I called him on Friday he said they hadn't looked at it yet; however they had been driving it around before that Friday. He mentions that they have a shuttle service and I asked about this but was told it didn't go to where I live.
