I brought my Subaru outback here when the check engine light came on. The engine was rattling when it idled. The owner/manager Abid checked the car with the diagnostic computer and said it looked ok but he would put it up on the lift and check. I left the car and five hours later he called to say the belts all looked normal so the problem *might* be a sensor that would cost $375 + $90 labor. I said I'd wait to have it fixed and came to pick the car up. I asked how much it would be, he said, yeah, I'm going to ask inside, he went in the store area ahead of me and as I entered I heard him say '..Ten.' I went to the cashier and said, 'I have the Subaru.' He said, 'Yeah, he said $45.'
I was sort of surprised that it was that much to check the belts, but what really was weird was just the way both men acted like the other was in charge of setting the price. I trusted everyone right up til then. So 3 stars for a lack of transparency. read more
