This towing company has the worst customer service that I've ever experienced. After they told me the had a driver dispatched, I asked for an ETA and the woman got upset that I asked and said... "I told you that he was on his way." I just accepted and tried to keep in mind that all people are different and maybe she just had a bad day. After two hours of waiting, I called back and said what's the ETA - she said, oh - I didn't know he had another car to pick up. So again, I asked for an ETA. She said the exact same thing... he's on his way. I asked from where? What time did he leave? How far is he - so that I can schedule my work day accordingly. And she said if you don't like my answer - that "you're free to go somewhere else and hire somebody that can answer your questions." I was so shocked and appalled that I just hung up. This guy, who came to me through AAA, was able to get his tow truck into impossible places and then chopped about $150 from the bill by suggesting a near-by shop who could handle my problem. Well-mannered, professional demeanor, highly competent and honest. By the way, once he had towed me to the new place (where I was highly satisfied), he was approached by a distraught person who needed a jump start. He did it, free of charge. These guys are the best towing service in the Continental United States. Trust me, I'm a lawyer. Seriously, I've lived in three large cities, and have driven - and had breakdowns - in NYC, Chicago, Denver, LA and Seattle, to name a few. They were fast, confident, well experienced and knowledgeable. it. My car is AWD with a manual transmission and one wheel that looked like it was coming off. The driver knew what he was doing and seemed to enjoy it. He got the car out of the underground parking garage and onto the truck and made it look almost easy. All this during rush hour traffic in downtown DC on the hottest day so far this year. The driver's name is Beebo, and he owns the company. He should be teaching classes on good customer service. Beebo came right away to tow my food truck, which was tragically stranded with a dead fuel pump right on Eye St. at 4:30pm...just as the rush-hour winds were starting to swirl! AAA dispatched District Towing on a priority basis when my car's alternator died at rush hour in the 16th & K NW intersection last week. The owner Beebo could not have been any more professional or helpful. I found myself stranded with a disabled vehicle near the smithsonian mall around 8:45pm friday nite. It was 104 that day and the pavement still held the heat so it was ver uncomfortable. It was just as independence bends toward 15th so it was potentially dangerous since it was getting dark. I googled for a tow trick in dc and found these guys. They said 15 min Long story short it took 75 min for them to show and despite repeated requests for an eta i didnt succeed in getting one. They finally confessed the driver was no where near me and said they would send someone in 15 min. It took 25 from THAT estimate He was gruff and rude and didnt even invite me to get in the airconditioned cab early while he strapped on the car. He asked if i was told how much - i said yes and he rudely insisted i name the price and then increased it by 5 dollars. he later charged ten dollars below the original quote but i felt like i was dealt with in an untrustworthy way. When we got to the destination he didnt have equipment to take a credit card and asked for all the info including the security code which he wrote on the receipt causing me security concerns. (he claimed it would go in a safe that night but who knows.) This was a miserable experience and i would say just because they do good seo and smo doesnt mean you should reward them with your business. Stay away. read more

I was in a real jam after I had to leave my car abandoned in Rock Creek Park late on a Sunday night. District Towing and Beebo totally came through for me, agreeing to pick me up at my house and drive me back out to the park to pick up my car. I had asked to be dropped off at the nearest metro stop, but he drove me all the way into downtown D.C., where I work and then delivered my car to the repair shop in Maryland. Incredible service from BEEBO. I called about a car that had run out of gas and wouldn't start after adding a gallon to the tank. BEEBO walked me through steps to getting the gas to the fuel pump so that I WOULDN'T have to use a tow truck. I used his tip, the car started. He saved me the service fee for a tow truck, which is already reasonable, and saved me time which allowed me to make an important doctors appointment. For FREE....nothing. I didn't think there were honest people left in the world. I was wrong. I'm going to take a car into their new shop for service and repair, based solely on my interaction with Beebo. After reading my review, the owner, Tarek, personally contacted me to apologize for what happened, which you definitely do not find nowadays. They arranged a way for my vehicle to be picked up the next day and were willing to work with my schedule. When I called them, they came about 30 to 45 minutes later and got me squared away. Both Beebo, Tarek's brother, and Mike got my vehicle out of the parking garage and on the tow truck in less than 5 minutes and had me on my way in 10 minutes. Dude was able to back the tow truck down a very narrow driveway and grab my Tracker out of my garage. He had less than an inch to spare on both sides of the towing mechanism getting into the garage, and was able to pull it out with no problems. Took some skill, glad i got that guy. read more

Towing your car is never fun, but District Towing made it so much easier. AAA made the arrangements with the driver and we were able to track the tow truck in real time so we had an updated ETA. Our driver Tyrone went out of his way to tell us all about local auto shops to work on our broken down car, and since he recommended one just down the street from our house, he dropped the car off there and then drove us home too! He got a few more requests while we were with him and still took the extra 10 minutes or so to get our car to the garage and take us home. It was 11:00pm and his first concern was our safety. A week ago Friday (April 12) I had an unexpected flat tire in Georgetown. Following a call to AAA - Kenny from District Towing showed up. Even though I was convinced the tire was ruined, Kenny asked if he could at least test it and see if it could be patched. I was shocked to learn that it was a small hole that was repairable. Beebo was fantastic. He was incredibly friendly and jovial while getting set up to tow my motorcycle. The entire experience was incredibly smooth and efficient.
