I initially called to confirm the tire size on my truck, which I originally purchased from this location about two years ago, as I was considering getting replacement tires from the Chevy dealership on highway 210 in Maryland. However, after speaking with Dwayne and receiving a quote for the same tires I previously purchased, my plans changed immediately. Dwayne was patient, attentive, and genuinely committed to helping me. He took the time to research the information I needed, called me back promptly, and kept me informed throughout the process. That level of communication and professionalism speaks volumes about his customer service skills. I recently went in for an alignment and was greeted by two incredibly pleasant employees. From the moment I walked in, both were welcoming, attentive, and genuinely helpful. As I was checking out, I mentioned that this visit felt completely different from previous experiences. The store manager, Jessica Paredes (though at the time I didn't know she was the manager), asked what I meant. I explained that the older woman who usually works the front has always been mean, dismissive, and honestly difficult to deal with. I arrived today expecting the same attitude. But today was a GOOD day--no attitude, no nasty looks, no negative energy. I was relieved and truly happy, especially for a Friday. Jessica apologized for my past experiences and shared that she was the new manager. I immediately told her I would definitely be returning as a customer. Honestly, the only reason I gave the location another chance was because I didn't feel like driving farther--but I'm glad I did. Dwayne, who assisted me first, was also extremely helpful and kept me updated on the status of my vehicle. And I have to give a huge shoutout to Mr. Clarence, the mechanic--he is absolutely awesome and highly professional. His expertise and thoroughness gave me confidence that my vehicle was in great hands. From a customer's perspective, the front desk is the first point of contact, and the person in that role should understand just how important customer service truly is. I've been with Goodyear McLean over 20 years and they are the BEST. Great service, warranties, tire rotation and honest mechanics if they find a ball joint, brakes or other amiss. Henry always has good recommendations on new tire, service, even did an oil change last time as an extra request and we were on our way in speedy time. If your car needs extra work, they usually can fix it in a few hours and there's plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby to pass the time. read more

I went to goodyear today and left infuriated and vowing to never come back. i walked in and was greeted with an attitude. i checked and then asked how long it would take for a simple oil change. i was told about an hour and a half to two hours despite having an appointment. after about an hour, i was told i would need about 700 dollars worth of other repairs and declined most and continued to wait another hour. in total i waited 2 hours for a simple oil change despite having an appointment. they did not offer any discount or anything in return for waiting. i will never go back again nor would i recommend even my worst enemy go there. there was no ac on so it was quite warm inside considering it is a 95+ degree day outside. read more

My only complaint is if standing in line behind someone waiting to be seen, no one greets you or say "May I help you " or " we'll be with you in a moment". Buying tires always makes me cringe- it costs more than I usually want to pay, and I hate doing it. I appreciate that Goodyear allows you to make an appointment online and find where you can go. Usually, I head to the burbs, as I have some predisposition for being in the burbs for car care. With the impending snow, I didn't want to trek too far from the District, so I came here because of the Yelp reviews! Everyone is right. For a tire shop, you can't expect more. I was happy with the friendly, efficient service that never made me feel bad about making an on-line appointment and running late for it... or for being one of the last customers on the afternoon of a snowstorm as the snow started falling. They also didn't rush the service, did a fine job, and let me know about the deals and the additional services associated with my new tires. They were informative, patient and polite, no attitude or rushing or selling. At the end, they even printed a second set of information for me for my mail-in rebate, filled it out, addressed the envelope that they gave me and stamped it. Awesome. The sitting area is alright as far as one can expect for tire centers. It's not super accessible by Metro, so, it was acceptable to just hang out there. I never expect much from the sitting area, so, it was fine - not fabulous, but nothing to complain about for a tire center. Although the location in NE DC is not the hippest or highest on my radar for places to be in DC, for car care, it was just fine. read more

I'm having slightly mixed feeling about this place. So I came here after my tire got punctured and I needed a new tire. It's been a minute since I got new tires so I was told that my tread was too low to fix. So I purchased two new tires $90 each which wasn't too bad....but I ended up spending $388 after including an alignment, installation charges, disposing of old torea charges, and warranty on the new tires. The thing I was kinda upset about was that the vendor added things to the receipt that were optional (like the warranty) without even asking me. Only reason I know was because I looked through the receipt and asked. I hate feeling like I'm being up-charged or people are trying pull one over on me. Now I chose to get the warranty but I would have liked to know before hand what I was being charged for. I need to replace my two other tires but I'm really having mixed feeling about the honesty of this place. read more

Came in here the day after Christmas to replace all 4 tires on my Mini. Robert was super helpful, and he has an honest vibe about him. I didn't feel like I was getting ripped off or cheated in any way. Luckily they had the tires I needed in stock. The tires I bought had an instant manufacturer rebate along with a mail-in rebate. Robert also told me about the credit card I could get to make that rebate 80 dollars off. I didn't end up taking the CC, but I also didn't feel pressured to get it like you do at some stores. All in all it took about two hours from start to finish to drive away with my new tires. After my mail-in rebate comes in, I will have spent a little under 400 bucks for new tires with lifetime balance and rotations as long the tires stay on my car. I would not advise going to this particular Goodyear. I ordered tires online on a Wednesday to have them installed on Saturday and they have you pay ahead. You are able to choose your time and what location. I chose the 7am slot and arrived this morning to the establishment being closed. I waited a few minutes and decided to call. Someone answered the phone to inform me that they don't open until 7:30am even though their sign outside of the store says 7. He continues to say the store called me and left a voicemail telling me they couldn't get me in until 9am. This was not true since I had no missed calls and no voicemails. This particular location seems to be a bit dishonest in their store operations. I told him to cancel the order and he told me I would have to go through the website to get a refund. I can't call the online store u til 9am. I would go about getting your tires in a different way and probably from a different establishment all together. read more

Really slow service DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. I would have given zero stars if I could. I called ahead to see if I could get walk-in service. "Sure", I heard. Took almost two hours to fix a slow leak in a tire. Was told that there was a plug in the shoulder (which plug I had done, not in the shoulder), which lie meant that the tire needed replaced. I succumbed. Took almost 20 minutes for me even to be recognized as a customer - the data entry interface that the employees have to deal with must be horrible, they were dealing w another customer's info when I walked in. That took for-effing-ever. This place sucks in every respect except that the waiting room is very clean. No magazines to clutter the table except an old Oil-Change Industry mag. The coffee machine is very clean (and so empty). The water-dispenser (which a desperate 8-yr-old used) seems to be working. There are a few scary-looking tire places along Baldensburg Rd.; any one of them must be better. read more

I'm torn about this shop. The folks at the front desk are great. Robert is a real asset. However, I went in needing one tire replaced for sure and asked them to choose a second tire to replace from the other three. It was a little tough to get a final price (lots and lots of upselling - not pushy, just constant) and not easy to compare between tires. I also had to leave the car for most of the day. Within a week of getting the change, my tire light came on. I took the car back and it turned out that one of the two old tires they kept had a nail in a place that ruined the tire. It's possible that I got the nail in the intervening week but I'm pretty sure that it was there when I took the car in the first time. This means that when deciding between the three tires, the shop missed this nail. The upside is that they were able to replace that tire quickly and get me back on the road within an hour. Can't say for sure that they made a bad call on which of my three tires to replace, but it certainly feels that way. read more

I am happy with the services they performed. The location isn't stellar, but when you have to pay for 4 new tires, you're willing to find the cheapest place, wherever it is. I was especially thankful that they gave me a price online and over the phone because other stores in the area ran me in circles just trying to get an estimate. I got a good set of Goodyear Integrity tires, and an oil change for my Honda SUV. They were friendly and helpful. They are American made tires, good reputation, and MUCH cheaper than Michelins. The store did try to up-sell me on a bunch of different things (3 year alignment package, roadside assistance, other things related to the oil change) but they weren't aggressive when I said no. You just have to do your research, know exactly what you want, and look online for deals. I'd go back again. read more

I went to this location to get the tires on my SUV replaced about two weeks ago. I made an appointment online, and the people at the center were nice enough. So why the bad review? After spending $800 on tires, and saying no to all of the various add-ons that they were pushing at me (they are trying to turn a profit I suppose), they came back after the tire replacement telling me about all of the "maintenance" I needed done on my car. They told me I needed a transmission flush; really? That was just done, and I can test the fluid myself. I need a new air filter. Really? Because later that day when I got home and checked the filter myself, the thing was SPOTLESS. The service may have been fine, but anyone can get tires on a car and charge you for it. What I don't need is a place trying to sell me things I absolutely don't need, just because you don't think I know anything about my car. Oh yea, and they couldn't even top off my fluid levels. Called on Friday was quoted for 2 tires size 235/70/16 for $136 a tire and $89 for the alignment. Was told that they do not take appointments, so I woke up early this morning and rushed in at 7:00am so that I could try to get this all taken care of before work. Arrived and the guy stated that the tires I needed were $145 and not in stock, next option was also not in stock. So the options were to wait until they ordered them or he could give me another store to go to. Waste of time. read more

I was run off the road and hit a curb, blowing my front passenger tire. I got the tire replaced elsewhere, but took it into this Goodyear location a couple days later to get my tires rotated and aligned. When they put it up, they found more damage underneath - bent rods, etc. They gave me a quote of $1200, which seemed a bit high, so I got quotes from 2 other auto body shops. The first quoted me around $800, and the second - a shop I found through my car insurance - put it at around $650. When I spoke to each, they were both surprised and confused as to why Goodyear had intended to charge so much for the repairs, and found several things that the Goodyear staff had wanted to replace which were not actually damaged. And of course, once I'd waited for about an hour for them to "put my information into the system" after telling them that I would not be getting repairs that day, Goodyear charged me $50 on my way out the door for checking the car. I called Goodyear in the morning about a large screw in my right front tire and spoke with Robert who was super helpful in identifying the proper tire, whether they had it in stock, how long it would take to order, and a verbal estimate of how much it would cost to replace. Unfortunately, they didn't have my tire in stock, but Robert told me that if I brought my car in before 11am they could order it and have the tire replaced before the end of the day and if I brought in in later they could have the tire the next day and replace it. After bringing my car in that morning, Robert took a preliminary assessment of the tire and said they could probably just use a patch. I left my car there and after a few hours Robert called back letting me know that the car was ready and that it only needed to be patched. I appreciated Robert's clear communication and for outlining all of my options. I'll definitely go back if this happens again!! read more

If I could give this Goodyear Auto Sevice a lower rating I would. First, I have been going to this place for a few years and overtime I've haven't been given any appreciation for being a regular customer. But the last time I went there last week to fix a problem with the brakes it became a nightmare. I had a squeaky noise when I applied my brakes so I was told that the brake pads wasn't fully touching the rotors. So to rectify this problem I had the front wheel brakes and rotors replaced because it was under warranty. (I had this done at a Goodyear in Alabama 2 months ago) And I needed to replace the rear brakes and rotors which I had to pay for. Also the found the one of my lower control arm was loose which I had under a good extended warranty company and only had to pay $100. That was $400 for the rear. I still had the same noise when I left and had to return because of the same problem. When I came back the next day was told that the brakes pads in front were bad so I had to get new ones. Now mine u, the other day when I was told about lower control arm they didn't ordered them until I showed up the following day. About 11 I asked what was the hold up and was told there still waiting for parts and I was there at 8:30!!!!!!!! Why didn't they ordered parts the other day when they knew what was needed? But here is the kicker. When I said I had a warranty they called but wouldn't release my car until they was payed. So the warranty company had to pay upfront with a company credit card by phone and I had to pay in cash for the deductible because warranty company paid with a credit card. This morning I stopped by to have the air pressure in my tires checked on my new car. The staff checked my car out immediately, explained what was going on, topped off my tires and sent me on my way. My daughter is a graduate student in DC. She had 1 tire go completely flat. AAA mounted her spare tire. I looked up this store online & it seemed to have some good reviews. I was concerned that they might take advantage of her, and try and sell her a new tire when it might not be needed. I am not in the area and so I could not tell why the tire went completely flat. Not only were they honest, but they told her that NO repair was needed. The tire must have just lost air from a combination of temperature change and also the car sat for several weeks. They put air in the tire & remounted it on the car. To my surprise, they did not charge her. I think this was because it was a Goodyear tire. I made an oil change appointment online for 8 a.m. and they did not start to service my car until 8:40. While I expect them to slow down as the day progresses, they only opened at 7 a.m. so they must have either over-booked appointments or not prioritized my appointment. Additionally, despite noting online what make and model my car was, they did not have the filter for my car and I had to wait while they procured one. They finished with my car at around 10:30. Finally, even though I was respectful and didn't take my frustration out on the workers, I was never given an apology. No one acknowledged how ridiculous it was that a simple oil change took 2 1/2 hours. Even when I complained to customer service afterwards they pointed me to a small print disclaimer on their website. Needless to say, without any reassurance from the staff there or the corporate customer service folks that this would never happen again, I have decided not to use Goodyear Service Centers again, especially not the one on Bladensburg. read more
