This place was recommended by a friend. We wanted something quick for dinner. When you walk in, you go straight to the kiosk to place your order. The service is quick and easy. This place was clean. The workers were friendly. You can't go wrong.

I have mixed feelings about this place. The restaurant is nice and clean. The customer service was so/so. They greeted me nicely but too much chatter with co workers instead of getting the orders out and completed so ppl can have there food. As for the taste of the food, it's missing FLAVOR!!! Big time! The food gotta taste memorable so that I don't want to go to any other taco spot but here , and I don't feel like that. Honestly I don't know what's so special about district tacos. The price u pay you didn't get a lot of food... I say that because I had a chicken bowl , with a little rice, little veggies, little bit of chicken added but a while lot of beans? The serving was really small. could've went to chipotle.... And The chips and queso is not good. I love a good queso... Well I can say the food was fresh.

I was in the area and saw DC Tacos close by so I decided to grab dinner on the way home...I was excited to have some DC Tacos...it had been awhile. I was delighted to see fish tacos being served today. It's served on certain days and Sunday was one of them. I'm writing this because I enjoyed the tacos tremendously, but it's been an hour since and my stomach is killing me. I don't know if it's from spoiled fish, but it was VERY seasoned masking any smell of spoiled fish. I warn anyone to keep this in mind. Social distancing, masks, and gloves are in effect. Service was good, the cashier was extremely hard to understand.

Best deal for breakfast (i think!) for $12 its a lot of eggs bacon potatoes veggies gluten free tortillas etc. I didnt realize how big theyd be ! The potatoes tasted a little too much like the oil they were friend in, which made me feel like id skip them the next time- but otherwise eggs were hot, bacon crispy, beggies fresh and salsas awesome !!!

DON"T DO IT! When I tell you I could have gone to taco bell and received more flavor, meat and just better quality for HALF the price and I still ended up in the bathroom, UGHHHH! Where do I start, well let me to the point: $14.78 cents for three very tiny tasteless soft tacos was ridiculous and downright robbery! When I saw these three tiny wrapped tacos I just knew I had the wrong order, especially at the cost. I order the soft chicken tacos with lettuce, cheese, sour cream, and tomatoes (so I thought). There were about 3-4 cubes of tasteless chicken, a huge handful of lettuce, a sprinkle of what I thought was cheese, have no idea what that was, a smear of sour cream which I really do not believe there was any sour cream on there as I could not taste anything. After a long day of community service, I was starving and had to eat was presented to me AFTER I PAID FOR IT! The owner ( i believe that is who he was) came over to ask how everything was, and I told him the exact same thing that I said here and his response "we had to raise the prices" and compromised the quality of the food as well huh, was I was thinking. And when I tell you the porcelain throne was my friend for the next 7 hours, it was not pretty, not pretty at all. I really expect this kind of bathroom results from eating at TB. If I had to do it all over again and was given a choice between DT and TB, (if there are no other options) TB will be the winner, at least I will get the flavor, lots of toppings, and a reasonable amount of meat at a reasonable price. NO, NO, NO, DON'T DO IT! Oh and BTW, the customer service was sub-par, she was being very impatient and there was no one behind us!

Okay I guess I was expecting a little more. But it was good. I'm a taco girl I enjoy a great taco on a nice summer/spring day!!! I got the veggie taco Itza with a corn tortilla! The veggie meat was really good it wasn't dry I enjoyed it. Corn tortillas are normally my favorite but I didn't care for this one as much. They double tortilla it which was helpful because it was a little wet. I love the salsa bar they have! Its full of different salsa I tried the medium one it was a a little hot. It was perfect for my taste. I don't really like spicy foods and this was perfect!! Their customer service was amazing!! I originally came here to pick up a catering order it was ready and I was happy with the outcome. They seating is great they have lots of seating. I would recommend this place. OH BTW THEY HAVE BEER. I GOT A CORONA . But the only have lite . I was so cold and good

Well I usually do DT in Roslyn but haven't been in DC since pre-Covid-19. Took a little hike to get here from Nationals stadium but can't say it was worth it. Fountain drinks down and they don't sell beer. Had to get an overpriced water. Ordered food for here but regardless of how you order they pack it to go. Mine quickly became to go when I found ALL tables were just too sticky! Food was good though but I would avoid this location.

Definitely something non-vegan in this vegan California Burrito

We ordered their "most popular apps" for 5 which came with tamales, croquettes, empanadas, deviled eggs, oranges, and fried pork rinds (chips?). The serving size was definitely enough for our group, so I'd only order this for an actual group of 5 if you weren't eating anything else. I had their pork tacos as an entree and tried their carne asada. Both were satisfying but neither stood out. Overall, I'd say this place is a safe place to dine - you know the service will be good and the food will be solid. I'm giving it 3 stars because the food just hasn't hit for me as much as I hoped. The first time we went, I tried the birria and tacos de pescado. I had my boyfriend try them (he thought I was being dramatic), and he immediately agreed something was off, though his tacos were great. We went again another time and ordered 3 or 4 things, but the chicken tasted a bit old, which was disappointing. I'd still be open to trying it again in the future, but right now it sits at just okay for me. A cute place for drinks though!

The taco was amazing and was some kind of fried catfish! YUM! And the enchiladas were delicious as well. The green sauce cut through the overabundance of cheesy goodness quite well. I like that you can mix and match tacos so you're not stuck with all of the same one. The menu didn't have a ton of choices, which made deciding a bit easier. They had an amazing bar staff too that was absolutely killing it mixing cocktails. The margaritas were on point and the one had a flair of "salt air" foam instead of a messy, sticky rim. Who wants a messy sticky rim, right?

Pitcher of margaritas for the table: smooth, rich, not too strong. Exactly what a group lunch needs without turning into a whole situation. The guacamole is terrific and they'll adjust the spice level to your liking, which is a small thing that goes a long way when you're feeding a whole office with different tolerances. The tacos are built on house-made masa tortillas and you can taste that they care. I did the Pollo à la Parrilla and the Chilito de Res. Both landed. The beef especially, slow-braised and seasoned like they meant it. This is a José Andrés restaurant, so you already know the room has energy. If you're in the District and haven't made this a regular stop, fix that.

For entrees I ordered the chicken fajita and my husband ordered the birria tacos. The tacos did not come with the sauce. We thought the birria tacos was suppose to come with the sauce. When we asked the server she said you have to order it separately. Well that's mostly why I am giving them 4 stars and also the chicken in my fajita was pretty dry. I had to dip it in the hot salsa to make it nice and juicy.

Sadly, we were presented with brunch menus, so it was a breakfast burrito for me and the breakfast tacos for her. I was remarkably hungry, so the burrito was eaten (and quickly). But truth be told, it's standard Mexican fare made with breakfast ingredients. No more description necessary - you've had this before and you'll have it again. The service was ok, we had to tell our server we weren't seeing him enough, there's a 2 hour limit and we weren't getting a chance to order more drinks. After that he kept the drinks coming. WARNING! You DO NOT get to choose what items you want from the ayce brunch menu, they bring every single dish out and they do it at a pace that you barely get a chance to enjoy anything. Every dish is loaded with fillers and barely any meat. Every dish has a similar flavor of chilli, lime and cilantro. I say this with the upmost respect to this restaurant, the only good thing about the brunch were the churros and they don't give you that until you're ready to leave. The chicken and waffles were almost good but the sauce on the chicken with the waffle just ruins it. The steak and eggs were ok and you only get a 1oz piece of steak. Birria tacos were just ok and the fish taco was ok. Everything else was not worth it. A lot of items went to waste. If we could've chose exactly what we wanted, it might have been better. This would also add to why the service did not start off well because our server gave us our first drink and left. After that, every item from the brunch menu were just getting dropped off by food runners. It became overwhelming. We didn't even have room on the table for all of that. Then we also had to ask for new plates because we did not want to mix the flavors of every dish. The drinks were also not good, I had margaritas for my drink of choice and they are so sour and filled with cheap tequila... respectfully for 70$ a person you're better off ordering à la carte. The restaurant is beautiful though, great for pictures and the food is colorful as well but the flavors are just not that good and you're ultimately paying for a bunch of food that you don't really even want nor enjoy. I really hope they adjust this because I heard it was 10x better in the past.
