I got in right before a closing rush so they were out of what I really wanted but I was prefaced that this was a better quality chipotle. I had a chicken and rice bowl with a side of guacamole. It was pretty good. Not as flavorful as chip but definitely good. I would say a more authentic, healthy version and they have churros!! The guacamole was great and fresh as can be for a long day. The ladies that served me were kind and helpful despite the rush and the late arrival. The inside gives hole in the wall, it's cute but I'm not sure I would want to eat in there if it wasn't early afternoon. They gave me extra sauce for free

We go here at least once a week! They know my kids by name, and they remember my order! The service is always great! The food is all tasty! I am partial to the burritos, because then I have lunch the next day as well! It's perfect for a group of four because the tables have four chairs, but there are a couple sets of tables. Love this place!

I noticed this build your own taco spot while on another review a few weeks ago. A mental note was made to GET THERE!! To go margaritas
    Chell H.

I went to this place because I saw an Instagram post Of their margaritas. So I decided to get a few. The margaritas are actually really good & strong but I gave a 3 star rating because the workers were not friendly at all. The vibe was off. Anywho, I did my part in supporting a small business during the pandemic.

I came here with friends one night and am pleased to see this option on H Street. Note that there are two entrances--the one on the left is to the restaurant and the one on the right is the takeout area with a small seating space. We grabbed a table in the semi-outdoor space (which is nice!). We were quickly brought out chips, although they were cold and tasted old. The salsa was OK, although I wouldn't say it had loads of flavor. I must say that the menu prices are very affordable by DC standards. While the 3 tacos option was listed under appetizers, they served as a full meal in their own right. I had two chicken tacos, which had more cilantro than I would have gone for but were overall solid. The third was a carne asada taco, and the meat was well marinated and not dry. The strawberry margarita I had was fine, but nothing to write home about. All things said, I was neither impressed nor unimpressed with Sol.

The food was EXCELLENT! I had it delivered for lunch and it arrived hot and tasty! The queso was a nice blend of creamy cheese and a great compliment to the house made chips. The taco was a little dry, but it was due to me not selecting a sauce or "wet" topping. I enjoyed carnita taco and wish I had the option to have shrimp as my meat option as I build my taco.

Food was good and great service. It's a small space so it got busy quick but it's definitely worth the wait.

We ordered the Salsa Macha-Honey Glazed Wings, Esquite Fries, Mexican Street Style Corn Off the Cob, and Chips & Salsa. Everything was delicious, the wings had the perfect sweet and spicy glaze, the esquite fries were packed with flavor, the street corn was creamy and satisfying, and the chips and salsa were a great starter. For drinks, we tried The Margarita, the Frozen Pineapple Margarita with Tajín, and the Pregame Shooter. All were refreshing, and the cocktails were definitely strong. The Mexican street corn flavored fries were amazing!! And the queso dip was yummy. I had the carne asade tacos and i highly recommend it, and my friend, who ordered the birria tacos, gave a solid stamp of approval. The churros were a bit of a miss because they seemed to have been overly fried. The customer service was attentive and our server made excellent recommendations. The ambiance is nice for a late dinner sprinkled with some salsa, pop, and dance music playing in the background. Street parking is available right out front and there's garage parking nearby. When you first walk in, it seems like it'll be a laid-back brunch, but don't let that fool you. The service was incredibly fast, and the food came out quickly. Everything I tried was delicious! My favorite was a breakfast sandwich served over a hash with an incredible sauce--I was thinking about it long after I left. We also shared an appetizer that was so good we couldn't stop going back for another bite. Just when I thought the great food was the highlight, the entertainment started. The host did an amazing job keeping the entire crowd engaged, the music had everyone singing along, and before I knew it, the whole restaurant had turned into a party. The belly dancer was absolutely mesmerizing and interacted with the crowd so effortlessly, making the experience feel even more special. Happy Hour Alert!…read more First, why did I take so long to check out this gem?! Well, I'm glad that I finally did because my Happy Hour experience was fantastic!!!!! No reservations made, we made the decision to visit at the spur of the moment and the hostess was very accommodating. Shoutout to our incredible waitress Maria! Thank you for your recommendations and hospitality. Happy Hour- the prices and the portions are beautifully matched in that they were affordable and generous in serving. Drinks: I ordered the passion fruit margarita which was AMAZING! The liquor to passion fruit juice ratio was spot on and the drink had a little smokiness to it, thanks to the dried fruit added on top. My next drink was the white sangria which was okay but I think that my experience with the margarita made it hard for me to enjoy this drink right after. It wasn't bad, just wasn't my favorite like the margarita was lol My last drink was the espresso martini (not on the HH menu). This drink was worth every penny and now added to my top 20. Food: Spicy creamy shrimp- a dish so delicious, we ordered another one. The crunch on the shrimp set the tone for the burst of flavor to follow. The shrimp was fresh and the flavors combined so well. Mejillones en curry, which came with a slice of blue corn bread, was absolutely delicious! The curry sauce was such a hit that we talked about it long after dinner ended. Using it as a dipping sauce for the blue corn bread was also a good touch. This dish was creamy and the mussels were delicious and fresh. Brussel sprouts- a fun play on roasted Brussels with a delectable peanut butter sauce added. This was another fav, pretty much all of the food was phenomenal but this dish left you wanting more. Lastly, we had the Tostada de Cangrejo which was perfectly topped with crabmeat. The crabmeat was sweet, I cannot explain but the sweet succulent taste was complimented by the creamy guacamole. To conclude an amazing time, we tried their Tres Leches cake and I would say that I didn't like the whipped cream topping but I loved the cake itself. Overall, I had an incredible time. The ambiance was simply beautiful, grown, and sexy. The food was impeccable! And the drinks were divine!
