I came for brunch and had a mixed experience. I ordered the burger, which was good, but not amazing definitely fine, just not memorable. The space itself is beautiful, and the dancing portion of brunch was fun and energetic, which added to the experience. Service was okay, nothing standout but not bad either. Overall, while the atmosphere is nice and it's a good spot if you're looking for a lively vibe, I do think it's very overpriced for what you get. You're paying more for the scene than the food quality. I'm glad I tried it, but it's not somewhere I'd rush back to for brunch.

We came back here for restaurant week and tried a bunch of new items on the menu. The food did not disappoint and the service was excellent. I would prefer to come back outside if restaurant week - it's more expensive but the portions are also much bigger.

Went to Vera Cocina on a date and really enjoyed the experience. The vibe is chic, upbeat, and social, with beautiful aesthetics. Service was excellent, attentive and well paced. The food was delicious. It was my first time trying Lebanese-Mexican fusion and I was genuinely impressed. The tomahawk cut was cooked perfectly and full of flavor! Our salad had the best dressing and rice pilaf was a hit. All the flavors blended perfectly. Only minor downside was our small corner table, which felt a bit cramped. Overall though, great food, great service, and a solid spot I'd happily return to.

This was a super fun place to go with my friends. We came for the dj Saturday brunch and we had so much fun! Shots and dancing are a part of the first experience and you will enjoy it! We shared a few apps (labneh, batata), and both were great. I ordered the halloumi sandwich and it was just okay. I wouldn't order it again. The real star of the show though is the decor, belly dancing, and music. It is lively and energetic. Our server was so great as well, she frequently brought us fun shots, and we went often encouraged to get up and go dance. Our meal ended in a big dance party. It was awesome! This is a great spot for a group of friends to have a good cocktail brunch with apps.

This restaurant has awesome food and amazing cocktails! Loved everything we ordered, particularly the tomahawk steak, reides fritters, and wide selection of cocktails. The overall ambiance of the place is cool and sexy. The service is very good as well. The booth seating is not very deep, so you may need to move some of the pillows to actually sit comfortably.

Came here for the Brunch Hafla experience. Bottom line up front: gimmicky thing not worth the $30 bucks. The whole event was sooooo much longer than it needed to be. I'm convinced that they stretch it out to get you to buy extra drinks - which btw, the cosmos we were drinking started as normal glasses at the bar and then basically turned into shots (same price btw). The first 2/3 of the "show" was a couple of the employees doing "entertainment" ... it got to the point where we were all done w apps and entrees and ready to leave but still no belly dancing. It was frustrating and boring. They were also woefully understaffed. We had a few drinks at the bar because we arrived early but then it took close to an hour to get a drink at the table. Overall, while the 15 min of belly dancing was great, the whole experience was a waste of time and money. The food was actually delightful, so I'd highly recommend just a normal meal here.

Baby listen, vera was 10's across I cane, I drank, I ate, I danced, and I was very merry after this brunch. I loooove a spot the portals me to another place, time, or vibe, a s you quite literally will forget you are in ivy city and think you are somewhere between Morocco and Tulum. The food would make leave your man for the chef. And the shooooow was a timmmmmmeee. Worth every penny. I will list my eats below. There is a parking garage near by, and there is street parking, ur if you can Id ride-share because because there can be some interesting folks outside. But a time was HAD. I had the lamb burger and it was sooo juicy and flavorful. The service was fun and attentive. It is a must do in DC.

I had the pleasure of visiting Vera Cocina on Sept 30th for the Premier of the Real Housewives of Potomac Season 10. This restaurant is a hidden gem if I must say. It's such a beautiful restaurant. I mean the ambiance was just beautiful. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and escorted to my seat. Let's talk about the food. Different types of Odourves were served from Tacos, Shrimp balls, burger sliders, empanadas and a few others. Every single Odourve served was delicious. As for the drinks the bar had signature drinks that was served throughout the night. I tired the Shady drink. It was a mocktail and was sooo good! I highly recommend this restaurant all day, any day!!!

I had an incredible dinner at Vera Cocina & Bar! The Lebanese-Mexican fusion is such a creative concept, and it truly delivers on flavor. The (roasted chicken) was a standout--perfectly juicy and smothered in a rich, herb-filled glaze. The steak was cooked to a flawless medium-rare and paired beautifully with a unique large-bean salad. The atmosphere in Ivy City is chic and vibrant, making it the perfect spot for a date or a night out with friends. Service was attentive and well-paced throughout the night. Can't wait to come back and try more of their unique cocktail menu! The Pistachio Tres Leches was a dream--perfectly moist, rich, and topped with a generous layer of crushed pistachios that added the perfect crunch. It's easily one of the best versions of tres leches I've ever had. We also couldn't resist the Churros. They arrived hot, crispy, and perfectly golden, served with two delicious dipping sauces that complemented them perfectly. The blend of Lebanese and Mexican influences even extends to the sweets, and it works beautifully.

This spot had been on my list for a while, and when we couldn't quite decide what we were craving, the blend of Mexican and Lebanese flavors immediately stood out. Tucked away in Ivy City, it's a bit hidden in plain sight but stepping inside felt like being transported to a trendy restaurant in Miami, Cali, or even Vegas. The vibe is stylish yet cozy, perfect for a lively brunch with friends or a more intimate meal with a partner. The staff was warm and welcoming, which really enhanced our overall experience. The menu reflects a beautiful fusion of both cultures, and the wagyu burgers were hands-down my favorite absolutely packed with flavor. Every dish was vibrant, creative, and introduced me to flavor combinations I hadn't tried before. I'm already looking forward to coming back for brunch to see what the daytime experience is like. Definitely a hidden gem worth exploring

Literally THE BEST and I have NEVER experienced a brunch experience like this one before. I was aware it was family style, I was aware there was going to be belly dancer, but what I was not prepared for was the night life and vacation environment like I was teleported somewhere exotic and magical! It reminded me of an episode of white lotus. In real. The restaurant was beautifully decorated, clean, and bright. The server was so suave and attentive, and the food... oh man! SO DELICIOUS! EVERYTHING was amazing. The humus I would order again and again. The feta dip had an amazing zing. The Wagu was so clean, and the dessert tasted good enough for me to want to throw my diet out the window! Everyone has to experience this magical place at least once. RUN!

This was my first time coming here and I had saw cute photos of the place online, so I was really only expecting a chill vibe with good food - I was completely wrong the moment I got there but it was still so amazing! We went for brunch during their "party" with the dancers where the staff came to dance and engage with the audience before the belly dancer came too; all of them were great at performing and interacting with people. The staff even gave us another complimentary shot and went around giving us more drinks. We were seated right in front of the DJ, so the music was extremely loud for us but it was still enjoyable. People were dancing and there were conga lines, so it was fun but we really weren't expecting it at all - everyone was dressed very baddie with their dresses while I was there with my jeans. I'll know for next time lol. The food itself was fantastic alongside the drinks! What we ordered... Food: - Hummus con Esquiles - the hummus was delicious with the grilled corn and oil. The bread that came with too were tasty. - Halloumi - it looked like a normal grilled cheese sandwich at first, but SO tasty. The cheese is so flavourful and even the bread was buttered/toasted well. - Wagyu Kafta - was like a regular good burger, nothing jawdropping. I liked the batata harra with its sauce. - Pistachio tres leches - not too sweet and was nice and moist. - Churros - complimentary! I liked the caramel sauce with it. Drinks: - Welcome shot - one welcome shot, and got a complimentary second for just chilling and not dancing lol. I could taste the tequila but it wasn't overpowering, tasted like juice! - Nutella carajillo - a perfect mix of coffee and alcohol! I didn't really the nutella taste as much from the drink, compared to the wafer on it. For a place that has fun party vibes, the food and drinks were amazing and I felt like my experience was totally worth all the food and drinks ordered, complimentary items, and performances with the entry fee! My only compliant is that it's not really near a metro station, so I had to walk 30 min in the heat to get there, which I regretted fast. Don't think I'll do that again and just get a ride there!

Remember big chief? Well, Vera came through and transformed the space to an amazing multi space restaurant! Where do I start? The decor is so fabulous, so many textures and floral arrangements. The first floor boasts ample lounge space and a bar. Upstairs, quite the same with turntables for a DJ that rocks the houses after 1130 on some nights! Also! They have a private dining room and of course, are available for private events. We were sat promptly without any reservations on this here Saturday around 7 or so. Once seated, we were quickly provided with an amazing chip and labneh cream dip. We weren't greeted by a server tho for a little over 10 minutes but Kevin saved the day and turned everything around very quickly! He did a fantastic job answering our questions, being attentive, making suggestions and giving feedback. Because we had to run off to catch a playoff watch party, we shared our entree and kept our appetizers light. The broccolini and wagyu kefta mini tortas were a 10/10. First of all, the tortas were so juicy and flavorful... just beyond exceptional! We then shared the lamb shank with the marble potatoes. Baby! The lamb shank fell right off the bone, and omg the pickled onions and sauce with every bite? I could eat that every darn day. The marble potatoes were some of the best potatoes we've eaten in a very long time, and the garlic sauce? Man, someone put their foot in there bc it was fantastic! Their cocktail menu is full of goodies, I helped myself to the Nutella as a proud espresso martini girlie pop. And was I disappointed? Noooooooo! Order it, neowwww. I can't wait to return! They have brunch on the weekends with salsa and belly dancing entertainment--$25 tickets but im quite sure worth the experience!

I spent every summer in this town, growing up, and I never discovered this restaurant until a precious friend brought me here a few years ago. It's a dated, though efficient, and charming, cafe with fresh dishes you might love. Firstly, if you plan on having lunch here on a Monday, make sure you are able to finish by 2:45 since they close by 3pm. All other days, they are open past 8pm. We started with the sweet potato soup despite the fact that the reviews for the lentil soup here are the highest. Yes! If it's featured: get it! The turmeric and coconut milk make this soup delightful. The herbs made it so fresh and there was just the right amount of sweetness and gentle heat. Parsley really adds to this recipe and I'm not usually a fan of this herb. The pitas are soft, thin and light. Love them. We needed to order more. I've never had such paper-thin pitas. Yum! I love love love the hummus, here. It is nothing short of divine. The flavors are fabulous and deeply complex. You can really taste the tahini. The olive oil is mild and delicious. I exclaimed, "the hummus was the best ever." And then 5 minutes later, I read a review by Yelper James H. where he says it's the best ever and, "... this hummus at Cedars of Lebanon might have ruined all other hummus for me forever." While I've had similar swooning feelings over the hummus at Lebanese Taverna in Tyson's Corner, this hummus is at least a top contender if not the metro DC area's hummus winner. The cucumber mint yogurt salad is nice, cold and refreshing. You can really taste the mint. I would order this yogurt salad with every meal. The falafel pizza is unusual and fresh. Straight away-- you can taste the tahini, parsley and couscous. The dough is grainy and natural. And there are radishes on this falafel pizza: not overpowering. For the $9 or so pricepoint, this dish is a true labor of love. To prep all of these vegetables, even with food processors, must take time. How novel of a dish! Put the yogurt salad on this pizza. You will thank me. And I only did it because I was watching someone else slather it on. There were at least 12 desserts on the menu. Meow. If we weren't so full of pita, hummus, tahini and fresh veggies, we certainly would love to taste a few of these. As well as the Turkish coffee, with an authentic ceramic and metal carafé presentation.

The restaurant has a small outdoor dining area with three four-seater tables, which was find for our two dogs. The experience overall was pretty low key, which necessarily is not a bad thing. Although there is waiter/waitress service, you will have to order your food at the cashier's counter. Actually, maybe that's only a thing if you are dining outside. The menu has a nice mix of Middle Eastern dishes. I went with a beef (or maybe it was lamb) kabob plate. The portions were fine and my meal was pretty good. It was not out of this world amazing, but it got the job done. I thought that the prices were pretty good for the area and the amount of food received. Although the food was fine, I do not think that I would go out of my way (e.g., driving more than 30 minutes) to dine here. Just be aware that the restaurant does not serve alcoholic beverages.

The service was impeccable- the waitress and sommelier were both extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Nadia, our waitress, offered suggestions about what dishes would pair well together for the tawle experience and shared her favorites. The sommelier went over the extensive wine list and helped us pick a nice red that paired well with our chosen dishes- it was called Yacoubian Hobbs from Armenia. The ambiance was comfortable and welcoming- you could dress up or down, pretty much anything goes! The walls are lined with colorful patterns and draped tapestries to create a high end living room vibe. Now for the fun part- THE FOOD! The first dishes brought out were the mouneh (pickled veggies), the honey soaked dates, and the three spreads (we selected the hummus with lamb on top for an additional $15, havuc, and beet borani). I'll add that they continuously bring out fresh, warm pita throughout the whole meal. The lamb hummus was savory and well-balanced, but very rich. The havuc had a beautiful lightness from the carrots and I loved the textural element of the crispy onions on top. The beet borani also added a welcomed freshness throughout the meal and was vibrant, light, and had wonderful yogurt flavors. The underrated dish were the pickled veggies because INSANE. I used these in bites during the entire meal and they all had a unique flavor as if they were each pickled in a special way- my favorites were the white radish and scallions. The honey dates were a sweet palette cleanser and cut through the savory elements of the meal. We continued on with the next round consisting of the field lettuce salad, the three condiments (we chose the toum, chermoula, and harissa), halloumi, omani shrimp, and chickpeas. The field lettuce salad had a zesty vinaigrette and I appreciated the acidity addition of the sliced oranges and the crunchy, salted pistachios. The toum was a garlicky aioli that I felt was best paired with the chickpeas- although all the dips were delicious with all the dishes and the pita. The harissa was a lighter version than I am used to, spicy, and paired well with the veggies and ribeye. The chermoula was my favorite and paired best with the ribeye- it reminded me of a flavorful and herbaceous chimichurri. The halloumi had a sweet honey and was grilled perfectly, paired with nice crunchy nuts. The chickpeas had a lovely consistency and were well seasoned- I think it was sumac, but whatever it was, I couldn't get enough. The shrimp were ONE OF MY FAVORITE dishes from the whole meal. They were juicy, seasoned perfectly, charred, and just chefs kiss. I enjoyed them with the chermoula and squeeze of lime. The main dishes and veggies came during our final (besides dessert) round. We ordered the sayadieh as part of the table experience and also added a ribeye to the order. We had ordered the charred carrots, but they accidentally brought us the wildflower honey zucchini instead, so we were lucky enough to be able to try both. The branzino (sayadieh) absolutely blew my mind. It was citrusy, spicy, seasoned with bright spices, and incredibly moist. I would honestly skip the ribeye- it was cooked to a nice medium rare and had a nice flavor, but I don't think it compared to the rest of the meal. The charred carrots were spicy, cooked soft- also one of the standouts. The zucchini was served beautifully and I enjoyed the sauce, but could also skip next time. We ended the meal with the bitter orange sorbet and the chocolate mousse. The sorbet was a nice palette cleanser as it had zest in the mix and was very light after the heavy meal. The chocolate mousse was very rich and had a new balance of chocolate and peanut flavors. They brought over complimentary glasses of champagne to celebrate my birthday as well :) I cannot wait to come back to try more of the menu and I am so happy to have had a diverse taste of the Middle East. I'll also add that we had a HUGE bag of leftovers that lasted several meals and they packaged it up like true professionals. A food lover completely satisfied and eager to get back :)

In fact,…read morethere were several fire grills in the center of the first floor of the restaurant (it has two floors), and you can see the staff constantly grilling the meats, fish, vegetables and pita. This, together with the dark vibe, made me feel as if I were eating with ppl. from B.C. in a cave. Very interesting. I like that. For food, I got the Carrot Havuc, Omani Shrimp and Halloumi. But first I was served with some freshly made whole wheat pita. They were soft, chewy and earthy. The Carrot Havuc was basically a carrot+garlic puree. Very silky, refreshingly sweet, and a bit sour. The sourness may come from the garlic and lemon. Paired well with the pita and meats. The Omani shrimp came with 5 pieces, each shrimp was ~1oz so it was not very filling. The shrimp were meaty, fresh, juicy, though I wish it could be less salty, even if I already asked for less salt. The shrimp was said to be marinated with dried lime and tamarind but I could only taste the flavor of dried lime. The Halloumi cheese was brushed wild flower honey and topped with Egyptian dukkah, then baked until the outside was golden brown. It was salty and sweet, and the (tons of) sesame seeds added some fragrance to it. However, the peanut was too roughly chopped so that they fell off from the cheese when I slice it, and thus difficult to eat with the cheese. Service was not worth the 20% mandatory tip. For example, when I asked about the sourness of the Carrot Havuc, he did not know why and said he would "taste it and let me know where the sourness came from". Unfortunately, he did not tell me until I asked again when doing the check (I doubt if he tasted it in the first place). Neither did he ask me about the other dishes. Overall, the dishes were great but not impressive, and was mostly heavily flavored. The service could be improved.

The only positive thing I really have to say about this place is that the atmosphere was nice and the furniture was pretty. Also, haha, they were playing latin music. Uhmmm its a lebanese restaurant whats up with that?

All I can say is WOW. My dining partner and I had such an amazing experience here. First of all,…read morethe restaurant is gorgeous inside. We had an earlier dinner reservation so it wasn't as crowded at the beginning but was quite busy at the end. We tried a couple different cocktails and I loved both of mine - Ashta Affair and Asfar So Good. The Ashta Affair was sweet and creamy and the Asfar So Good was deliciously refreshing. My friend really enjoyed his Old Fashioned Date and had a fun experience trying the El Massaya Arak. For appetizers, we ordered Muhamara and Mousakhan Chicken Rolls. The Muhamara came with pita and was such a great dip. The chicken rolls were equally as good with their own sumac labneh dip we enjoyed. For entrees, we shared the Braised Lamb Shank and Makloubeh. The portions were large and the meat was tender. Neither were over seasoned and were absolutely delicious. We couldn't finish it all and saved the rest for leftovers - yum! We wanted to try their dessert and ending up getting the Ashta Bil Asal and Ruz Bil Karaz. The Ashta Bil Asal had cotton candy which made it a fun dessert to try and the Ruz Bil Karaz had a great caramelization coating. Neither were overly sweet which we preferred. It was such a great ending to our meal. I absolutely loved my experience here. Our server, Miriam, was friendly and attentive. We even chatted with the GM, Iman, who also made sure we were provided a great first experience. I cannot recommend this place enough for anyone who's looking for a boujee but amazing time!

We started with Arabic coffee and the Harra Wala cocktail--both were really good. The coffee was strong and flavorful, and the cocktail was unique and refreshing. For food, we ordered batata harra, beetroot hadiqa, lentil soup, saffron pita pie, and saffron rice. Everything was solid, but the saffron pita pie and batata harra were probably my favorites. The lentil soup was super comforting too. For dessert, we got the raspberry sorbet and baklava--perfect way to end the meal. The sorbet was light and refreshing, and the baklava was sweet and flaky. Service was great. Our server made sure we enjoyed our meal and was available to explain the menu options and checking on time to time if we need anything. Overall, a great experience. I'd definitely go back!

For appetizers, we ordered the Brussels sprouts and the mixed grill, and both were full of flavor and beautifully presented. We also ended the meal with kanafe and mint tea, which was the perfect combination for dessert. A special thank you to Leila and Francesca, who were incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive throughout the evening and really made the experience feel warm and enjoyable. The only small downside was that the restaurant does checks family-style and doesn't allow separate individual checks, which can be a little inconvenient for groups. We also requested the meat to be cooked well done, but it came out more medium rare than expected. Other than that, the overall experience, ambiance, food, and hospitality were wonderful, and I would definitely return.

The mezze was fresh and flavorful, especially the labneh and hummus, and the patatas bravas absolutely lived up to the hype. Service was attentive even though the restaurant was packed. It's definitely on the pricier side, but the atmosphere and quality made it worth it for a special night out.

They pride themselves as a healthier spot and the food definitely reflected that. We started off with drinks (they only do happy hour at the bar) and got the Mojito and the mediteranean martini. Both were good but the purple mojito was definitely the star of the show. For appetizers we got the "fried" cauliflower and the hot appetizer platter. The cauliflower definitely felt more baked then fried and the portion was quite fair. The hot appetizer platter comes with 2 cheese rolls, 2 falafels, and two kibehs. I will say, for $17, I would love perhaps 3-4 of each item instead of just 2 each. The kibeh were super tasty and so were the cheese rolls, but the falafel were a bit dry. For our mains we got the lamb chops and the steak kabob - both were fantastic. Simple flavors but really well done on both ends, with both cuts of meat cooked to order. I will say, I would love a little bit more side veggies- especially for the $45 dollar lamb chops but I assume they expect you to order more sides like we did. Quick service, Arlington prices, a bit cold inside on a cold day. Will definitely be back to try more!

We decided to stay and check it out, @1pm on a Sunday. Brunch is from 11a-4pm. There was only 1 other person for brunch, when we arrived. There was a DJ was that playing super loud music. Mostly rap music. The food was good. Fresh salad, fruit, meats etc. Unlimited mimosas was $25 per person. We could only order 1 flavor at a time, which there was about 8 flavors. They were good By 3pm, the place was more so filling up. What was crazy was at 4pm, the workers started breaking down the buffet-- quickly!! A group that had arrived @ 3 were caught off guard that brunch was ending. The workers did provide everyone with TAKE HOME Boxes, so we filled our boxes as fast as they were breaking it down lol Hookah guy arrived, think it was a total of $68. The hookah was good Gratuity is automatically included. Our waitress was GREAT! Only thing I didn't like, the place had her walking around in a tight leopard body suit, with her arms out, like this was the Playboy mansion. It was cold in there. I would come back for brunch - just know, there was not a mention of a Buffet brunch online
