The staff seemed focused on serving To Go drinks and mostly ignored us. 10 minutes for chips and salsa/take orders,10 more for water (never refilled), 30 minutes after we ordered we got our food (quesadillas, papusas, tortilla soup.) We did a pickup order from this place hoping for some amazing food. While the cheese enchiladas were good, the beef tacos were dry and lacked flavor along with the rice. They also left out my refried beans. And only gave us one utensil even tho we told them it was for two people. I had made a mistake on my order and needed corn tortillas instead of flour and asked if I could get some on the side for an allergy, eyes were rolled and they were huffy. This is my second visit to this restaurant and again it Was an experience. The staff is so pleasant and welcoming. I ordered the steak, shrimp fajita and it was good. We ordered 3 Don Julio reposada Tequila pitchers and they are very good. We sat outside again, you have to sit outside when going it's a nice experience. They start you off with complementary chips and salsa. I got the soap de res, which is a veggie and short rib soup which was extremely flavorful. It also comes with tortillas and rice, so it really fills you up. The beef was nice and tasty, the veggies were nice and crispy, and the broth was excellent. I went to Las Placitas during a food tour. This is one of the oldest restaurants of eighth Street. They is such a homey vibe you feel as soon as you walk in. They're margaritas are awesome. Well there, I recognized there were 3 to 4 other large groups there. It looks as though they host a lot of parties. The plantain, steak, quesadilla, yuca platter was awesome.
