I was in the area to visit another store and when I got out of my truck, all I could smell were the burgers being grilled nearby. I had no plans of having lunch out but couldn't refuse after being inundated with the smell of grilled onions and beef. I had the Oklahoma Onion burger with their standard garlic, rosemary fries. The fries were hot, crispy, and tasted great. The burger was next level. You can tell District uses quality ingredients for their menu items, so before balking at a slightly elevated price, keep in mind that with food, like everything else, you get what you pay for. Ok where to begin! Let's start with how great the atmosphere is! This used to be a Mexican restaurant in BA but it has been completely modified and I love the new look they did inside opening it up and making it feel bigger than it actually is! Our waitress was absolutely amazing when it came to keeping up with my unsweetened tea and water for my business partner! Anything we needed she was on it making us feel like royalty! This was at the riverwalk location. We have not had a bad experience until today. They lied to us saying the first 10-15 people got a free cinnamon roll. They gave one free cinnamon roll to one of our coworker who was picking up a to go order while we waited but the rest of us couldn't get one. When we all got down there, after waiting for 10 minutes assuming they were working on our cinnamon rolls, they said it was only for dine in customers, they acted my coworker heard wrong. Came after highitsterra, and tulsabite reviewed and said it great, it took about 40 min, tried their buffalo burger and it was okay I would say 6/10, wagu burger had way too much raspberry jam, was extremely over cooked and dry 2/10. I ordered a half and half tea even that was bad, the free water wasn't even good lol tasted like dirty tap water. Overall extremely overhyped. Service is good though! The food is just not great, finished everything bc you're there and what are you gonna do? Wait another 40 min for a remake? it is what it is, tried it and just never eating it again lol I would say you're better off going to society burger instead or even a drive through. read more
