Clean up of the work area was sloppy with shards of metal and chunks of wood in our front yard. When i communicated this to Brian it was completely ignored. Saw him in Kroger and he blanked me. Turns out a few years later his workers cut corners and did not properly re-fit some asphalt shingles which caused the roof to leak in 2 seperate places. I would not go with this company again.

I worked with RVA Exteriors recently on an eco friendly gutter system for my commercial building…read morethat houses my eco friendly holistic spa. My goal was to decrease the amount of standing water on my lawn while salvaging the rain water for use for watering the spa's many plants, herbs, and vegetable gardens AND our fruit trees. Cherokee and Brian came out and spent about 45 minutes coming up with a plan for my unique project. We discussed what I might need, and what I didn't need to make this system work. They later sent the estimate and to my pleasure they delivered under budget. They completed the work in a timely fashion on my schedule. I would not hesitate to refer this biz to friends and colleagues, in fact I already have referred them several times.

What can I say about Brian Tyrrell? Brian totally flipped the inside of my home. There were a lot…read moreof negative interpersonal and communication issues in dealing with this contractor. 1st he was the only contractor I have ever dealt with so I have nothing to compare. However, I have a good friend that is a real estate agent and has dealt with many and was told "they're all a pain in the ass." One thing I will say about Brian is he held his promise in regards to my house. He told me "I'm gonna make this thing shine" and that is exactly what he did. His recommendations were helpful and I believe his pricing was very fair. The quality of his work was also good. He gets 0 stars due to all the interpersonal and communication issues I had to deal with. When I tried to fire him and asked for a refund of the $8000 deposit I gave him on day 2 of project start, he told me to sue him for it. It was like being emotionally raped over and over. He had me in a very difficult position as I was a single woman and lived out of state and he took full advantage of it. The quality of his work gets 3stars as it was good but average. I got what a paid for (besides the emotional distress. My house did look really nice when he was done but it was a fight the whole way. If you are a single woman, I would look around a little more or if you have a strong man in your life (brother, dad, boyfriend) that will be able to deal with him, you could give him a try. He's a salesman and will seem like an up n up guy but if anything goes wrong you will see the wolf under the sheep costume. If you are married and your husband is strong and not a passive wuss, I would say give him a try but there are a lot of options out there without all the potential BS you may have to deal with. I would never hire him again do work for me or even recommend him to an enemy (if I had any ).

Highly recommend Window Depot, Richmond, VA who replaced our front doors (solid/storm), side panels and windows. Our first encounter was with Phil who did not pressure us however, his story of Window Depot being owned and operated by Frank & Laura Amory let us know that they are not the typical window replacement company. All employees are invested in the company from sales to installation and their motto, "We Create Happy Customers" are exactly what they have done for us. Phil's professionalism, trustworthiness and knowledge of services and products helped with our decision to purchase the Previa products (well-made and priced). One of our greatest concerns was having to work with subcontractors for the installation however, Phil assured us that all work would be done by employees of Window Depot. We are extremely pleased with the proficiency, expertise, and workmanship of the Installation Teams. They showed up on time and each person was very polite, respectful of our property, laid drop cloths, worked together as a well-oiled machine and cleaned up after each day's work. THANK YOU FOR DOING AN EXCEPTIONAL JOB!!!

I chose this company based on their online reviews, but after my experience, I seriously question…read morehow accurate those reviews are. From the beginning, I made it very clear that I wanted 100% communication and no misunderstandings. The salesperson assured me the entire project (windows, gutters, shutters, etc.) would take about 2-3 months. I was aware I was paying above average, but I trusted their reputation. That turned out to be a mistake. The problems started right away. I assumed measurements were taken during the initial visit, but they weren't. I had to take time off work for another appointment, and the person they sent was in and out in about 20 minutes. After that, communication completely broke down. I had to repeatedly call just to get updates. Months went by with no clear timeline for installation. Every time I spoke to someone, I got a different answer. The office staff seemed completely disorganized, and emails were confusing or contradicted each other. Eventually, I spoke with managers, and even they admitted there were mistakes and miscommunication. But nothing was actually resolved. When installation finally happened, it was poorly handled. They sent only one person to install gutters, which was inefficient and unprofessional. To make matters worse, they somehow retained my payment information and charged me without my authorization, which is extremely concerning. At one point, a manager apologized but then started mentioning that if I canceled, I could be legally responsible. That is when I completely lost confidence. It felt more like a threat than an attempt to resolve the situation--especially considering they had not fulfilled their obligations despite receiving a large deposit. They later came out to take pictures and "check" the work, but it felt like they were trying to protect themselves rather than fix the issues. I have lost an unbelievable amount of time dealing with this--taking off work, making calls, and sending emails. To this day, I still have an issue with one of the windows. I reached out again and received a response that made no sense, and I still have no real answer. Also, their "lifetime warranty" is not even through them--it's through a third party, which was never clearly explained upfront. Overall, this has been an exhausting and frustrating experience. I strongly recommend being very cautious before choosing this company and considering other options. Look for the response towards any complaints they're completely generic. They don't even give at least any kind of explanation as to why of things occurred. I would take my business elsewhere. You're gonna get robbed. They're charge you an astronomical price for something that anybody else could've done much cheaper.
