Beef Ravioli Con Quattro Formaggio
Julie E.

I'll be honest, the name threw me for a loop as I was expecting this place to be by the water - it certainly was not but none the less, it was a cute place, romantic, and pretty quiet but I can also see this place being the hub for family birthdays and friend get togethers as well. There was ample seating inside and outside. We had come on a Saturday night in January and we were seated right away. I noticed there were a few tables with 'reserved' signs on them so during busier months being able to call ahead and have your table reserved is always a plus. All the employees we had the privilege of meeting were lovely and the food was pretty good. My fiancé and I enjoyed both of our pasta dishes, although it was your standard Italian food, a step up from Olive Garden but nothing too spectacular. The bruschetta on the other hand was a must, so delicious! The bread was thick and the mixture was plentiful but you better eat it fast because it did become soggy pretty quickly. We ended our night with a cannoli and again, just your standard cannoli. All in all, I think eating here once was enough but if I'm ever in the area and craving some bruschetta, I know where to go.

Warm, welcoming, and utterly delicious. The manicotti was divine, the service felt like family, and the spumoni ice cream was the perfect ending. A five-star experience from start to finish.

Brociole with Penne

We were in SLO and driving back to Cambria and decided to have an early dinner In Morro Bay. I was craving Italian and remembered seeing the sign for Distasio's so we headed there. We weren't sure what we would find or how the meal would be. Turns out we had a delicious meal, good service and a nice pleasant dinner. My wife had the chicken marsala and it was very good. She was satisfied and would order it again. I ordered the brociole which is something you typically wouldn't find on an Italian restaurant menu. I had it years ago when a grandmother of a friend made it for a family gathering. This brociole was pretty close to that one from the past. It's a thin piece of pounded beef sirloin and rolled with spices and breadcrumbs, tied together and cooked in a tomato based sauce. The hours of simmering creates a decadent sauce and the meat is extra tender. Wow!!! We had some Chianti and dessert and had a great time. We will definitely be back. It wasn't busy because we were there just after they opened but by the time we left, it was getting busy. I can't wait to go back for more of their simple but delicious food.

Great old school Italian restaurant. Went here on a Friday night. Not too busy but had reservations. I had the half and half spaghetti and meat raviolis. My wife had lasagna. Both very good. Came with warm bread. We brought a bottle of wine and paid reasonable corkage of $8. Great meal and nice decor

I have lived in Morro Bay for 15 years and had never trues this restaurant. This year I decided to try it for my birthday. The food was sooooo delicious and the spumoni ice cream "cake" is a must!

It's a nice restaurant with a lot of seating. The food had good flavor. I had a rib eye and I really liked it. Cooked well and for a decent price. Our server was very friendly and helpful. She had great suggestions to help with our decisions.

Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and broccoli

Came to Morro Bay just for a day and wanted some dinner before we head back home. I looked up on google for some pasta and this was the first place I looked. Had some good reviews so wanted to check it out. The service was wait to be seated it wasn't long because it wasn't busy yet. The service was quick and they give you some bread when you sit down. The garlic cheese bread was pretty good and I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp. The shrimp was good size wasn't those small shrimp that I seen some use these are a good decent size. But overall experience it was a nice restaurant what made it cozy was the fireplace in the middle.

This place is awesome! I'm visiting all the way from Long Beach. I'm thankful I came here! Service, food, ambiance were on point. We ordered the Beef Ravioli Con Quattro Formaggio, Caesar salad, and Italian platter with a glass of wine. It was very tasty and I didn't feel super bloated or anything after. I fersure dogged my plate! I had the pleasure to meet D and mark. They were super awesome and welcomed us even though we can later towards closing. They were really accommodating, helpful, and entertaining. I'm definitely going to come back and I recommend every tourist to try this place out!

Had our anniversary supper here after spending the day touring the features of Paso Robles. I don't ever order lasagna from restaurants, but it was recommended by the waitress. It didn't disappoint. It was delicious, very rich sauce, very tasty meat. Service was good, waitress was sweet and helpful. The inside of the building was cute with the fireplace in the center. The owner came to talk to us, which I love about these family-owned restaurants! Hope to come here again!

Just as good as the one in Los Osos, only this one has a beautiful view of the bay! All the pasta I've ever had here has been wonderful.

Good food, great view. However, don't come here if you are on any time schedule at all. Very very slow.

The Morro Bay car show is going on for three days lots of cruisers passing our patio table. We decided on their bowl ofseafood chowder it was velvety thick excellent generous portions of scallops, clams, shrimp complemented with small bites of potato's with all the perfect spices it was a 10. We added two filet mignon steak fajitas but taco style. They were delicious the seasoned filet mignon along with the sweet onions and peppers with a queso fresco on a warm corn tortillas were outstanding We topped our terrific late lunch off with a moist flavorful piece of carrot cake and carmel sauce that we shared. James our waiter was super friendly. STAX along with their perfected menu has large impressive selection of local and notable wines and champagne. I ordered what I thought were fajitas and the waiter came and brought two tacos. I was a little surprised. Two tacos for that price is a little ridiculous and they were just okay. Ambience was chic~outdoors on a tall table people watching while having amazing conversation. Also, dog friendly and enjoyed watching dogs make small talk. Lol

There's no dedicated parking but there's plenty of street parking around the area. The restaurant is located on the second floor of a building with windows facing the ocean, so the name was very fitting. A lot of the seats allowed guests a nice view of the outside/ocean. We were able to get a window seat and was able to enjoy a nice sunset view and take lots of photos by their balcony area. We ordered the halibut, black cod, cioppino, dungeness crab cake, mixed greens and all the dishes were all decent but I can't say I was blown away by any of them. The dishes were on the pricier side as well. Overall the service was good and they were attentive with checking in on us and refilling the water. The only surprising thing about the place was that there was an additional 3% fee on credit card transactions which they apparently indicate on their menu (which I missed), and the waiter didn't mention either, so I was taken back when I saw it on the bill. While I understand they're trying to offset their costs, it is pretty rare these days and I wish the waiter gave us a heads up. Overall, the view was great and the food was decent.

The menu is extensive but I only had one thing in mind and thus I got the CLAM CHOWDER BOWL $6.99 and HALIBUT fish and chips $24.99 plus $2 garlic fries upgrade. Sorry to say this place is as many have said, a tourist trap. The halibut batter lacked seasoning it was practically tasteless. It's freshly fried however. Fries upgrade helped the fries only. The entire basket didn't taste much like anything and the tartar didn't help. The clam chowder was very salty. And I mean, very. It barely had clams in it and didn't taste rich and mostly had big cubes of potato. It was disappointing. The lines can get very long very fast. They have a good spot with greats views or Morro Rock. Parking is free everywhere to my knowledge.
