A friend who has lived in the concord area for generations recommended Discovery. It's certainly not something I would've found by myself. It's located next to a beauty parlor in a Hispanic strip mall complex. That said, you can tell a lot by how clean a shop floor and the tools of the trade are. Once the garage doors went up and my car slid in, I was put at ease. The proprietor was friendly and helped me choose a tint that would cut down on the mega UV rays and IR rays that make my car a sauna in the summers. I can already feel the difference and it's just May. No waiting room in his shop but I walked a block to the McDs and nursed a coffee while watching Netflix. He phoned me when he was done. Great job by a great guy and I think a good value too. No bubbles, the tint is invisible around the edges. Very happy for the price. read more

I just spoke to them recently on the phone inquiring on their ceramic tint offerings for a new car coming and it reminded me that it is always easy to communicate with Discovery Tint. I had my '21 Corolla Hatchback tinted less than 48 hours off of the lot and I was impressed by the speed and quality. I've taken many vehicles to Jesse. Cool guy and does great work. However last vehicle I took to him he changed solar tint film brand or model. I asked him if it was just as good as before and he claimed yes. The issue is now after a few years on the last truck I took to him the windows are now it'purple instead of black. It's cheap film he's using to get more money in his pocket. Highly disappointed. You can actually see the original black outline from where the sun didn't hit the film versus the faded purple from his cheap film. read more

There may have been one other shop that had a lower quote but was concerned with that establishment due to a chock full of negative reviews online concerning professionalism and customer service. With Jesse and Discovery Tint, you are assured impeccable customer service and quality. It was helpful that he showed me his personal vehicle's tints and windows as comparison toe help me choose my tint levels and was pleasantly surprised that it was just the same as mine, a Chevy Bolt EUV. So I knew my vehicle was in good hands! I was actually a bit late for my appointment due to the fact I was removing some stickers on my windshield which I thought was required before I brought in my car. He assured me it was alright (I did let him know there were some residue left over on the wind shield.) The installation time was just over two hours and he did give me a good price which I was more than happy about. I had my wind shield and four windows including the hatch done. Beautiful work! Upon arrival I was greeted and given recommendations on what tint would look beat with my vehicle. I opted to drop my car off (took a couple hours) and when I picked my car up I was impressed! It looked so good! The gentleman who did my tint was very friendly and he informed me it's a lifetime warranty. The price was fair. I did notice a tiny bubble a few weeks later but I was able to bring my car back in and he quickly got rid of the bubble. It was an easy fix. Highly recommend! read more

Jesse was very knowledgeable about tints percentages and how your cars interior color and paint color impact how the tint looks overall. Showed me how various tint combos on sides and back would complement each other and give my car a European sport luxury look. He did not go too dark on me! I think tint looks great, classy and will help with summer sun on my leather and cut down the super bright headlights in my rear view mirror. So I've been looking around for a while for some tint jobs and places for my car (TLX 2016) and my brother (Sentra 2012). I called Jesse a while ago and didn't want to book with him because he was PACKED as far as his schedule. Until I went there and several people waiting for their cars have been going to him for 15 years!!! Right then and there I knew I was going to take my wheels to this man. It was a tad bit more expensive than the cheapest deal, but its worth it. He definitely isn't the most expensive shop in the market. Took my cars and and he was very knowledgeable and very helpful. OUTSTANDING and SENSATIONAL job on both cars. Both looks incredibly well done and elegant. Love the job he did, I wont' be going anywhere else if I need tinted windows. I was really looking forward to having Jesse tint my windows, so I called and received an appointment for about 1 week later. He was professional and even confirmed the appointment the night before. When I arrived to my appointment, it was recommended that I tint all 5 windows, instead of the 3 I had initially planned - which I agreed would probably look better. Jesse quoted me $295 in the parking lot after seeing the car, then we went inside to do the paperwork and he stated that it would now cost $315. Even though the difference was $20, I simply asked why the price had changed. No one likes that feeling, and I figured there would be a simple explanation. Jesse became defensive and also explained that it was the end of the day and that the weather was hot. I didn't find this to be adequate (also since he determined the date/time), so I decided to take my business elsewhere. While I trust that he probably does good work, I found it hard to communicate with Jesse. I didn't feel comfortable as the customer, and I am usually not very picky with this. I am hoping others will have a better experience. read more

I have read every review of this business and went to see it for myself. I had my windows tinted for my 2011 Accord two weeks ago (10/14/11) and was glad that every review of the customers was all true. Jesse was great, knowledgeable and was perfectionist on his job. If he thinks that the tint does not look good, he will remove and replace it because that's what he did when he was tinting my window. My kids loving the car because it is much darker inside and no more sun while riding. Also, I love that the price was much cheaper ( $200) than the other businesses I called. Jesse and i had numerous conversations over the phone before we agreed on the date and time of installation. He seemed such as professional who knows his trade. On the date of installation, i took some time off of work and came out to do the install. We chatted about 15 minutes about different shades of film, etc. Then with no apparent reason Jesse said that he decided not to do the work. I live about 40 miles away from Discovery Tint. But I was going to be passing by Concord that day and decided to make an appointment to get my windows tinted. I chose Discovery Tint because of the good reviews and the very reasonable prices. I wanted to tint my windows just a little darker with the same shade all around. After a brief discussion with Jesse I decided to get 50% all around. With 50% on the passenger windows, although still not legal, there is minimal chance of getting pulled over by LE for having tinted windows. I had no idea so much prep work is required before actually applying the tint on the windows. The work came out very well and I'm pleased with the results. Jesse is a very friendly guy and is a bit of a history buff. So the time went by pretty fast while talking to him during my appointment. Consistent with a couple of other reviews, Jesse noticed a bit of dirt on one window after applying the tint, so he did the work over again.
