We needed to have the windshield on our motorhome replaced and the team from BaySide auto glass came to our location in Rancho Cordova (East of Sacramento) yesterday afternoon to replace it. Twice now, I've needed a window replacement and both times my auto insurance defaults to safelite, which is #BS. They offered a replacement 8 days after my agent called them. Unacceptable so then I called Massi here at Bayside. He doesn't take insurance as it's how he keeps his costs low. He was $80 less than Safelite AND came over the day I was available to do the install. His sidekick and He were in and out within a couple of hours. They removed al the broken glass and secured the interior to protect from any damage removing the windshield. All in all it was a great experience and even better service. TL;DR: Quick turn around, quick job completion, Great Service and Great Price. Had parked my car outside of restaurant for about an hour a few nights back and someone had smashed the rear passenger window on my 2016 RAV4. They had pulled out my backpack with my work laptop and tablet, as well as a few other items. Was quite dismayed to say the least, but after contacting my insurance, which said the repair cost would likely fall under my deductible and referred me to another, well known, heavily advertised service (which never responded to my inquiries) I reached out to Bayside Auto Glass to get a quote. Not only was their quote less than what the other service had offered, but they said they could come out Monday from when I had called Saturday afternoon (Sunday was already booked up). They arrived right about on time when they said they would, and had called in advance to let me know they were on their way. The got right to work vacuumed out all the broken glass left over from the incident, and VERY quickly (~1 hour) replaced the window with a perfectly matched tinted piece. Once they were completed, had me come out and inspect, and informed me I have a lifetime warranty on the window for any future repairs. What a GEM! As a ride of passage, my car was broken into at Bart. My back window was broken, it was raining, and I was panicking. I googled and Bayside was the first thing to come up. I called at around 8:30PM and they picked up immediately. Lucio promised to be in Oakland by 10AM the next morning. He showed up at 9:30 (the earlier the better since I had to leave at 11)! Unfortunately he brought the wrong window since I have a super basic car with 0 tinting and apparently that's rare lol. He still installed the tinted window and hunted around the bay area for a clear window for me. The second time, he had to come to Berkeley to meet me in a vet's parking lot and he was so quick and courteous. He didn't charge me for a second labor fee, just for the window difference! Fantastic auto glass shop. Here's my scenario...its 4 pm when I shatter my window while replacing my window actuator today, its starting to sprinkle and heavy rain coming in tomorrow. Im calling around getting quotes and time frames. Every shop is telling me it will be tomorrow and cost $150 to $220. STAY AWAY: WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD!!!!!! I had my car broken into and my window smashed. I called BaySide and while nobody picked up, Lucio called me back a few hours later. Although I already had an appointment with another company, he quoted me a lower price and encouraged me to cancel my other appointment. He promised me that he would go to San Francisco to get a window that would fit my car and be there the next day at a specific time. I went ahead and cancelled my appointment, only for Lucio to NOT SHOW UP, NOT ANSWER MY CALLS OR TEXTS, and COMPLETELY LEAVE ME HANGING. I left multiple texts and calls and never heard from him again. I had to reschedule my appointment with the other company, which caused me to go around without a window for additional days. I had Massi come out to my home to fix a rock chip on my windshield. Great experience with him. fixed the problem in 15 min.! Really nice guy, not stand-offish and was accommodating. Originally, he was going to come out the house between 8am-10am, but because I had work, he came even earlier at 7am. As weird as it is having someone look over your shoulder, Massi was really good about it. I asked him questions about what he was doing and he simply explained without seeming annoyed.
