I had the cliche back window broken while out at dinner in Oakland. (I SWEAR there was nothing to take from car). Big K was super responsive to my quote inquiry and had great communication. Mr. Han came the next day to my home. Great price, even better if you can pay CASH. Installed a dealer produced window and cleaned up the glass inside. Lifesaver. read more

I spoke with someone before 8am on a Saturday for a replacement window for a 2020 4Runner. Someone came to service it within a couple of hours and it was done pretty quickly! They did it in the parking lot while I was staying at a hotel. The gentleman was very polite. I would definitely call them again if another mishap occurs. I cannot review pricing as I just paid a deductible. read more

My rear quarter glass was broken while I was at a restaurant in Temescal, Oakland. I put out a project request and Big K had the best pricing -- the glass is all the same because this window can only be bought through Audi (booo!!). They have mobile service and will work with your insurance -- yeah, factory glass is $$ so it was above my deductible :*( There were a couple of hiccups getting the glass from the dealer it was ordered through so had to reschedule, but Big K was proactive with their communication, so that helped. It took a couple days longer than I had hoped because of the rescheduling, but it comes with a guarantee, the work was done well, and the tech cleaned up all of the broken glass from inside my car. Now, how dirty my car is stands out now with the one shiny new window! read more

Big K had great reviews and they came in with the cheapest quote for windshield replacement, and are mobile (come to your house) to boot. Han communicated very well with giving a quote and responding quickly and setting up a next day appointment. Jose was the service tech they sent and he did a great job, cleaned up the car and driveway very thoroughly and was super friendly with our dog and answered some questions as well about our sun roof. Five stars all the way. read more

This business was incredibly efficient and helpful from the minute I reached out, to taking my car to Hans for repair. My car is a 2014 Mazda and now being shared with my 18yo, new driver, son. It seems every time the car comes home, it has a new scrape, and now, a broken side view mirror. I was motivated to get it fixed, since it's a hazard for anyone driving. Big K was the first to respond to my project, the first to ask for vin# to get estimate, and when we spoke, each worker was clear, personable and actually heard what the issues were. I thought I was going to have to replace the housing and mirror, so the first estimate was over $600 with a Mazda part - housing replacement. Since my son was going to have to pay for this, cuz how else do they take ownership, he had a fit. "Let's just glue the mirror in place," he said. My son is over 6' and I am 5', so not being able to adjust the mirror wasn't going to work. I called Big K and discussed my dilemma, and agreed to have a tech look at the mirror before ordering anything. Hans checked it out, looked behind the mirror, pushed it back into the cracked housing and sent me on my way in less than 10 minutes- NO CHARGE! He suggested we put super glue on the crack to increase strength. How many places would do this??!! Most would have loved to charge me the full $600, whether I needed the repair or not. I can't tell you how much I appreciated their approach and work. My son's pretty happy too! read more

Couldn't have been easier! My windshield got a nasty dent on Monday night, I contacted Big K Tuesday morning, and I had a new windshield Tuesday afternoon. They did the job from my driveway, too. We live on a street where windows get broken fairly regularly if you are not careful about where you park. We were keeping a friend's car while she traveled with her family. It wasn't long before the unfamiliar car was in the wrong spot (bit of musical chairs, since people don't want the parking spots that are in blind spots). Sure enough, we head outside to find a window shattered. Car was empty and I should have just left it unlocked to avoid the headache. Long story short, a friend recommended Big K. Han called ahead of time the next day to ask if it was ok to come early. He said he could be there in 6 minutes and be done in 20 minutes once he arrived and he was true to his word. I gave him the key, went inside, barely 15 minutes later he was calling me to come out. He even made it easy to pay by Credit Card. He had a Square link texted to me and I was more than happy to add a tip at the price that he was charging. I went from problem to solution In less than 24-hours. I hope your car doesn't get broken into, but if you need windshields fixed in your vehicle, Han is your man. read more

If you are one of the many victims whose car window being vandalized, look no further. Big K is your choice. Their quick response, clear communication, very reasonable price, and convenient mobile service to my location convinced me. Once appointment was made, Big K was on time, job was done swiftly and neat. Oakland City has to do something for community safety. Unfortunately they don't seem to care. This is 3rd time in 3 years my car was vandalized. I will think twice before going shopping or dinning in Oakland. read more

My windshield got a big crack in it, so on Sunday (they're closed) I filled out their web contact form. Got a call early on Monday, which I let go to voicemail, plus an email. Our back and forth via email was done in a timely manner and soon I had an appointment for later in the day, within a one hour window. Around the time expected, I got an email with a more precise arrival time. Han was pretty much on time and got to work right away. I was curious to watch the whole thing and Han was friendly and conversational. You can see he has a lot of experience and knows his trade well. Their price was very reasonable, and if (when?) I need glass work again, they'll be speed-dialed. read more

I'm very happy with the service and customer support I received from this company. They found an OEM glass for my 2021 Mirai and offered a competitive price--much lower than what others were charging. They also did their best to remove all the small glass pieces that had fallen into the passenger side door. When I asked if I could use my personal vacuum to help, they were very accommodating, which I appreciated. I was also able to get some of the smaller pieces out by hand. Cleaning up broken glass is a tough job, but they made a solid effort. If those small pieces aren't removed, you'll hear them rattling whenever you open or close the door--or even while driving. Overall, I'm satisfied with the quality of the work and the professionalism of the team. Highly recommended! read more

Working with Big K Auto Glass was absolutely exceptional! Painless, fast, efficient... just everything that I could have asked for given my situation. Oh, the joy of being in Oakland! You know... like coming back to your car to find your window smashed in. Such a great surprise, isn't it?! Well, this was the wonderful surprise that I got while coming back from my lunch break at work. Of course, there was absolutely nothing of value in my car, so nothing was stolen. When you've been in Oakland for this long, you know better than to leave ANYTHING in your car, especially in plain view. But, it still doesn't matter because I still got... got. But, I digress... After discovering the smashed window, I opened up a project on Yelp to receive quotes for a replacement. I received about 5 different quotes, but Bessie from Big K was the most thorough. I called her soon after and she was able to send a technician out to my area within an hour. I couldn't believe how fast he showed up! It took him about an hour or so install the new window, and he cleaned up all of the glass inside of my car and in the parking lot where it took place. They sent me an invoice through text and I was able to pay them easily through Apple pay. The price was competitive and was even a few hundred dollars less than the big name auto glass repair company. It also included the on site repair which was great. I'm still pissed that I had to deal with this unexpected expense, but so grateful that Big K Auto Glass was able to fix the issue seamlessly. They truly saved the day! Would highly recommend them to anyone who is in need of any sort of auto glass repair. read more

This team at this organization is a well tuned machine. Efficient, high value and reliable. I had my vehicle broken into within 15 min of parking in...of course... Downtown Oakland. I contacted at least 6 other service providers and they all offered the exact same window replacement; 1 aftermarket and 1 OEM. Big K was able to replace my windows within 48 hrs and at the greatest value of any other provider I spoke with. And it came in at a lower cost than my insurance deductible. Through my insurance it would've taken nearly 2 weeks to set an appointment for replacement. There's no doubt Big K will be the first call I make next time I park in Downtown Oak. read more

Woke up one morning to go to work and was blessed with a shattered sunroof. I requested a quote on Yelp and received a quick response from boss man Han.
