We have been using Legacy at Home caregivers for our mom off and on for over 5 years. We have had…read morewonderful experiences with them. There have been times we've needed caregivers 24/7, and there have been periods of time when we've only needed a caregiver for a few hours here or there to support mom while venturing out to a doctor appointment. Legacy at Home is flexible and allows us to shift between mom's needs with very limited notice. After a recent fall and an ER visit, mom was sent home about 10-11pm. With a few hours advance notice, we were able to have a caregiver meet her at her facility and stay the night with her to provide the support she needed. The schedulers are fantastic and the caregivers are warm and loving. If for some reason a caregiver cancels at the last minute (car accident, illness, dangerous weather, etc), the scheduler on duty will work tirelessly to find a replacement caregiver and they will call back with regular updates on their progress - no matter if they are successful in locating a replacement caregiver or not. And most of the time they are able to find a replacement caregiver. They have amazing people who are caregivers. Many of them have made this their career choice and they want to help and support their patients. It may take a few caregivers before you find the right personality match between your loved one and the caregiver, but once you find the right matches, it's a wonderful thing! The caregivers select their preferred schedules and patients and you start to see the same people over and over again because they form very sweet caring relationships. The caregivers may even text an update here or there, if you also form a relationship with them. I highly recommend Legacy At Home. They have provided significant peace of mind for our family knowing our mom is being well cared for every day.

At the end of our fourth session, I was told to stop "trauma dumping". Which I understand can be counterproductive to healing but in my case, if my therapist actually listened to out almost four sessions, my wounds never healed, I haven't had the best relationships with therapist due to having a narcissist mother who controlled past therapy visits, and other issues, he'd know that I have held in all of my trauma and needed to get it out. But no!!!, I needed to pay attention to the chart about feelings, actions, and such and listen to him and HIS FEELINGS, even after using said chart in three different ways to express how I felt unheard, disrespected, and hurt by his words/actions. He continued on and asked me to hear HIM out. I know what I said in response wasn't the best but here goes... in response to him asking me to hear his concerns/feelings after following his own chart three different times about expressing my feelings to others was, "Sure, I'll hear you out but first I'll need your copay" I felt rejected and unheard from a therapist I was paying to listen to me and help me grow but was told that I couldn't share anymore because I'd be "trauma dumping". It's not opening wounds for me due to them never closing and him knowing this and my timid trust in reaching out for help, which he was told multiple times by me throughout almost four sessions already. I know I have a lot to work through but it's difficult to grow and get better when the therapist you reach out to stomps on your face and feelings or tells you what you can or cannot talk about during your own therapy sessions. I'm honestly not sure if I'm going to keep seeking out help anymore. It's really discouraging to be stomped on especially when you tell the therapist how fragile and scared you are to reach out for help.

Steven (CRNA and one of…read morethe owners) quickly reached out to me when I expressed interest in their clinic, answered all of my questions, and set up a phone call with me to go over different options for my treatment. He listened to what has been working for me for my infusions, was knowledgeable on options, and worked with me to create a treatment plan specific to my needs. He was quick to respond to my questions I sent before my appointment. Steven and Amber staffed my first appointment, and they were both wonderful! The office is very clean and calming, and you get a private room with a reclining massage chair. I like to bring a blanket, pillow, and headphones to get more comfortable. I appreciated that they asked things like where my preference for my IV is. You're hooked up to continuous vital monitoring that can be seen at the main desk and they monitored me after the infusion until I was good to go home. Steven called me the following week to check how I was doing post infusion and to set up my next appointment. I also like the app they use that helps you track your treatment progress. It's very easy to use and takes less than a minute to fill out the surveys. I am so glad I found Avalyn Wellness! I have had a wonderful experience. They are knowledgeable, professional, and caring, and I definitely recommend them to anyone seeking treatment.
