I'm honestly sad to leave this review, but I think it's important for parents to know what they are getting into, especially when desperately seeking help for their little one. Imagine bringing your child to receive services over an entire summer, and not receiving a single update from the therapist the entire time, and the only way to get an update is pay more money. Well, this is exactly what happened to me and my 8yr old. We saw Victoria, who I only met with me on the initial visit, where she told me she would see my son privately for the next 3 visits to build trust and rapport with him. So for the first month of no updates, we were fine with it. But then the next two sessions, we were told she needed more 1:1 time with him, and when we asked when we would be getting an update, she told us it would be the next session. The next session came and went and my husband had taken off work to be able to speak with her, but it didn't happen. I called the office for an update because school was about to start and I wanted to inform the counselor of his progress, but I was told that the only way she would speak with me is if I booked a parent session. I explained that he has been seen for over 2 months and we had repeatedly requested to speak with her but were never given an opportunity. (She had originally said that she would pull us in for the first 15 min of a session for a parent discussion, and now we had to pay for a "parent session" in order to receive an update.) I have never, after 3 kids, had a pediatric provider who would not provide me with information about my child freely and willingly. Victoria then calls and apologizes, and I explain that I am just wanting information to pass to my son's school counselor. She says that she can write a letter to the counselor, and I was happy with that. Two days later, the office calls to say that the letter is ready, and I have to pay $60 to receive it! I was shocked and could not believe it. I said, okay, I don't need a letter - can I get a copy of the notes or medical records instead? The response was, "sure, it will cost you between $30-60." Again, I've never experienced this. The only way to receive an update on my child's progress was to pay for it, and at this point, I did not want to provide Kazmo with any more money. My 8r old started school and today, I received a call from the school counselor, who recommended a different therapist at Kazmo, as she knew her personally. She called on my behalf, and the front desk at Kazmo refused to schedule my son with the recommended therapist, and said we would not transfer from Victoria to the other person. As a result of these cumulative events, I decided to leave a true and honest review of my experience with this center. read more
