There is no fee for people and families to use their service. Shelly helped us to find an assisted living for my father in Tarrant County and a year later, she helped us secure an Independent living facility for my Mom in Dallas County. She saved us time because she knew which facilities fit our parameters for each parent. She set up appointments and saved us thousands of dollars by being able to negotiate a lower price than what we were quoted by the facility my Mom chose.     The facility is overall a good facility. It is very clean, has good food, they have many good…read morestaff members and offer a fair number of services and activities. Like any other place of business, there are several areas that need improvement and several staff members and permanent and temporary employees that need to be replaced. They are also short staffed and at times disorganized because of these staffing shortages. That being said, there are some exceptional, caring, friendly, professional and knowledgeable employees that I would like to recognize. Jasmine Roberts is a fantastic CNA (certified nursing assistant). She is extremely attentive, knowledgeable and professional while being friendly with all of the patients. She never complains about dealing with very difficult situations, circumstances and people. She never misses her rounds, never avoids the difficult tasks like bathing patients, never complains about coworkers, calls patients and their family members by name, never shows anger even under very stressful conditions and is an example for others to follow. Christine James who oversees the kitchen staff does a phenomenal job. She always greets the patients, asks for their opinions on the food, asks if they need anything else and genuinely cares about their wellbeing. Patty Matlick in the business office also does outstanding work. She answered all my questions and she handled all of the paperwork to get Medicaid approved for my wife and kept me up to date and well informed during the entire difficult and stressful process.

    My mother was a resident at Tradition Prestonwood for about three years, primarily in assisted…read moreliving, then in memory care for the last four months. Most of the caregivers were wonderful people. The problem with this facility is the administration. Communication is horrible. As a family member it's never clear who to call for what issue. But worse is the significant turnover at the admin level. We went through three different directors of healthcare, three assistants to that role, two directors of memory care, and multiple other administrative position changes. I raised my concerns - we'd have "team meetings", but things would not improve. And just when I thought I had a good go-to point person I'd learn that that person left. I finally moved my mother to another (smaller) facility, and it's been night and day - SO much more attention and better communication. The Tradition also passed along huge rent increases every year. A modest rent increase may be reasonable, but these were huge - well beyond inflation. The whole operation makes the customer feel like just a "number" on a spreadsheet . . . it's all about the profit. They nickel and dimed on little things like a meal to the room, or one more medication beyond a given tier. Just felt heartless. Again, not the care givers themselves, but the management.

He had four days to come to my house for signatures, after surgery. And then didnt take my insurance. I had to pay out of pocket over 2,000. He was rude, accused me of lying about me taking so long to pay him. When i did not receive the bill for months. He taljed tacky , was angry. And i paid him as soon as i did receive any money. then after i told him to never contact me again. Then i asked for him to be professional and send me a receipt. He was a terrible person. And never sent it.. Do not use this service..

Asked for the invoice I assumed my sister received it but I got it and then had someone else in the business look at it and they indicated I was over charged by at least 20%. But my sister seemed to like the people so we went on. This week my credit card company notified me that possible fraud on my card. Realized it was possibly visiting angels so sent Britt an email asking if they had charged the card because i nor my sister had not received an invoice. No response, but looked and my card continued to get charged again that morning. I was out of the country but called Britt since he had not responded to my email. Indicated to him that had possible fraud but he said he had charged it. I said ok but I never received an invoice from him. He said he always gets payment first then gives us an invoice of charges..... I said that is unusual. Most all companies bill the services so the client can review that charges than is paid. He argued with me and became rude after he maybe saw I was catching him in a possible unethical business practice. Any company I know would never have a problem showing the client what service is being done for the Payment. The other visiting locations in the area seem to have positive reviews reviews but this one in Plano does not. We have decided to find a more reputable service in the area. Look closely before you make a quick decision on a slick talking marketing rep.
