This is my first visit to Discount Tires since I am from California, and their sister stores are called America's Tire. I have been to numerous America's Tire stores throughout California, and I have found their service to be top notch. Discount Tire in Flagstaff off of Milton Road was no different than my experience with America's Tire in California. I had a flat tire fifty miles outside of Flagstaff on the first leg of my trip to Oklahoma City from California. The tire had damage to the sidewall so it was not repairable. Brennan assisted me and he was professional, helpful, empathetic, and kind. Unfortunately, they didn't have my tire in stock so he was able to order it after 5 pm on Friday and get it shipped to his store the next morning. He made things so easy for me that I was back on the road by early Saturday afternoon. Everything worked out well without a hitch. Brennan made things go very smoothly. I couldn't ask for any better service. The employees that I encountered at the store were very kind and friendly. They made me feel like a valued customer. This was quite a busy store, but they are able to move cars out very quickly. Thanks to Brennan and the rest of the Discount Tire team at the Milton Rd. store for making my minor mishap an easy resolution. This is why I have been buying my tires at America's Tire/Discount Tire for many years. They provide quick and courteous service, no matter which store I go to. read more

Worst discount tire ever!! I've been to many, Flagstaff on Milton does not run a tight ship whatsoever. First gives you anxiety even to drive into their parking lot as it it very dangerous and small. Not enough parking for the amout of business. Also it is not set up for tire psi check or fill like Cottonwood or Phoenix area. Purchased new tire. Specified 37psi on all tires as I travel up & down in elevations frequently. See photo for how I received. Also asked for inspection on used tire to see if it could be used as a spare. The answer when truck was given back "I don't know, I didn't do the work". They just don't care. You are the lucky one just to be able to buy tires from them. NOT the valued customer like the other Discount Tires treat you. Horrible experience...oh & they don't have a public restroom. read more

This place is fantastic! Busy summer tourist season day.. A screw in my tire, and luckily, found mid afternoon on Saturday before the drive back to Phoenix . The place was busy as hell.. tourists from all over the country and locals as well. A big motor home had some massive blowouts and was blocking at least two of their bays. But damn, if they didn't keep pushing cars and tires and all manner of problems through to resolution! I have never seen a tire store like this be more efficient and friendly! Clean, fast, full of smiles! My repair was free under warranty but I gave a tip to Ron the manager, who, by the way, was working his butt off as well. He added some I am sure and we treated the guys to some cold Red Bulls. I'm impressed with this location! My service guy got an extra tip too! Thanks guys! read more

Went here to fill our tires. There was a massive line, which wasn't discount tires fault. They were assisting someone hauling a camper, and they found an even bigger issue. They addressed it right then and there. I was in line for almost an hour, BUT on the upside of things, it's good to see discount tire treating everyone with respect and providing a high quality experience for everyone. We were traveling and had a small mishap with a tire while navigating the narrow parking lot @ hotel in Flagstaff. We are long time DT customers, so we searched for a DT, found this location closest to us. My husband called, received great service from Alec, he pulled up our information in their system, we told him what happened, which tire we needed. He didn't have it in stock, but said he would have it sent up from Phoenix, would arrive with next day by noon. He couldn't have been more helpful, this is truly the kind of employee you want representing your company! The next day we arrived DT fully expecting to purchase the new tire, Alec came out to our vehicle inspected our tire, much to our surprise he said, "oh that's just cosmetic, you are perfectly safe to continue your travels." We asked questions, he was very professional and didn't rush us. He recommended we get the guy doing air checks to inspect it as well, incase he missed something. We pulled around back, waiting for about 10 minutes in line. Again, met with a very professional young man (didn't get his name) he inspected all tires, paid close attention to tire in question. He said, "You are good to go, it's just a cosmetic issue, zero damage to tire." Normally, I have loved this location. They helped me replace tires in an emergency a few years back, are speedy with their service, and are normally kind but recently I went in for a simple tire rotation and was unimpressed by their communication with one another and myself--my car has a special lock and I communicated this to the front salesman who did not communicate it to the back team who I found pushing the car into the bay before I stopped them and told them how to turn my car on...They then misplaced my keys and asked if I had them before checking with each other (which they then found). read more

I have had various experiences over the years at this location, but the one thing that remains the same is the quality tires, pricing and awesome manager Ron! I am very particular with tires and how I want things done, and they always respect that and make sure it's down to my liking! The guys who fill tires with air, I give them props being in the cold dealing with a morning rush Monday mornings lol. I made the mistake of forgetting to change pressure from summer to winter (I like it a little lower in summer for a softer ride) so I went on a Monday to get the tires filled and I was laughing the entire time waiting. Because I realized, I wasn't the only one who forgot how busy Monday's are for discount tire LOL! The guys had such great attitudes with all of us waiting, they were so friendly and eager to get us all taken care of so we could be on our way. I really appreciate the great attention to detail they all have and how they respect our vehicles. Ron is a great manager and I really enjoy working with him. When it comes to wait times for service inside, yes it can vary. Things can come up, which could take one job a little longer. We live in a world that is so impatient and we have to change that. Made an appointment the night before online, set an appointment and paid for the tires. Quick and simple the next day we showed up at 8 o'clock they took us in right away. They even washed our vehicle which is so awesome thank you very much. Technicians were professional attentive and answered our questions, you have an option to pay for warranty on the tires. No questions asked they replace it which I think is pretty awesome. I've used them at least four times in the last 15 years. I am extremely impatient and want things perfect. Been waiting to give a Discount Tire a good review, so here's one of my firsts. I'll summarize this as short as possible. I've had a litany of issues with a number of Discount Tires across the country, either with tire replacements going flat or installing the wrong valve stem extensions. I've even had them not install lug nuts tight enough, resulting in them flying off while driving. That said, I just visited a DT in Goodyear AZ two weeks ago for a valve stem unseating completely into the rim. DT in Goodyear said we can't touch that tire with the tread life it has without replacing it. I agreed and said fine, replace the tire if that's what I need. Then they said, well-- because it's a dually-- servicing one side technically means servicing both tires on that side, so we'd have to replace both tires to fix that one valve stem. I said that was absolutely insane, and decided to pull into different parking lot, dismount my own tire, roll it over to them, so the could replace the tire and valve. They did that, but also left it pretty much in the state it was when I brought it in; leaking and not holding air. I then had to go to a tire shop in Mesa, where they showed me the wheel was cracked. Fortunately, they had a spare dually sprinter rim. But unfortunately, they still Sat the valve stem incorrectly and again, I'm back on the road with a leak. I get up to flagstaff, hop over to this DT. Guy inspected the tire with me, both deduced it's the valve stem if I just got a new tire, new wheel and different valve stem. Got me in within 45 minutes, didnt try to upsell me or tell me I have to buy all new tires. Just sat a valve stem that seals, called me back to actually inspect it before the put it back on. After they were done, didn't charge me a cent. Thanks guys! read more

Discount replaced a flat tire and then threw the spare in the back of the van instead of securing it underneath the van where it belongs. Driving down the road I saw the tire alarm light was on - Discount also failed to reset the tire pressure monitoring system. First time I can remember that a tire shop has failed to do either of these. All this to replace a tire Discount charged me $300 for - quite a bit more than the original cost of the tire. Discount usually does well in my experience: not this time. read more

Update on the first review. After taking the vehicle to a mechanic, it was determined the discount tire employees had released an unsafe vehicle onto the road. The mechanic explained the rear wheel weights were hitting the brake line. The brake line was almost snapped and the mechanic explained I was lucky to be alive. The people at the counter and over the phone were nice and clearly enjoyed what they do. The problem is, their service team can't seem to do anything right. Story: I had 3 visits within 2 days at this store. First, I had a flat tire repair that I thought went smooth. I told them the back left side had the flat and they put my spare on the back RIGHT side. Came back to get it fixed and they said the tire was too old to work on, even after already working on it. Didn't even notice they did it wrong until it was too late, I simply trusted them. Next day, I get 4 new tires put on my Tesla. Come out to inspect them the next morning and realized they put one of the tires back on inside-out. Tires have an "inside" and "outside" marker on 2 places on each side of the tire. Had to take it back when I planned on going home to Phoenix and had it switched around. They also charged me $90 to put on the new tires, which seems really high. All around, the store is nice but their service department is both lacking efficiency, professionalism, and consistency. It's a bummer writing this review and they are a highly rated store. However, my 3 visits in only a few days paint a different picture. read more

Only commenting on the free tire pressure check/fill here. I'm not car savvy whatsoever and I get a lot of car anxiety about maintenance, so services like these are a blessing. My car's low tire pressure light went off today with the super cold weather and I had heard from word of mouth that Discount Tire will check and fill your tire pressure for free. Drive around the back of the building past all the garages and there are cones to line up to get your pressure checked. I only waited for one car ahead of me. The guy working was super nice and helped me fill up all my tires and even filled them a little extra because of the super cold weather. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes! read more
