They will match prices, they know what they are doing when it comes to product sales and install and if there is any issue I have no doubt they would make it right. The other big plus is the location. This location is in between two small malls so you can go get lunch or do some shopping or buy pet food or get a manicure while you have an hour or two waiting for your new tires to be installed. I've always enjoyed discount tire, overall good service. A couple tips: even if you make an appointment, that doesn't really mean anything, they will still put you at the back of the line. I suggest make an appointment when they first open. When buying tires, do your research and buy them ahead of time on their website then make an appointment. Many times I've wanted the same tire but they don't have them in stock or they suggest what they have on hand. Follow up: The link provided is not hyperlinked nor can you copy and paste. Also on that same visit, as I waited an hour for my prearranged appointment, a gentlemen sitting next to me who did not have an appointment was told "to make you happy we will get you through in 30min." I needed to get my vehicle in to have the wheels retorqued before I drive way over the mileage required and they were close on Sunday so called this morning and got right in and out. I suspected I may have hit a pot hole. My tire went flat. Low tire pressure dash went on. Drove on run flats for about 30 miles before bringing it in. The staff was very fast and helpful. They got me in and out in no time. Diagnosed the issue. Patched up the hole all in under 15 minutes. They helped me patch my tire up in no time and gave me the best deal. Ordered four new winter tires to replace my 10 year old winter tires and set up an appointment to install - via online. Day of install was fast! Four tires totally installed within 15 minutes! Yes. They tried to up-sell me on new wiper blades and a new spare tire (ie which has never been used in 20 years) but I actually appreciate that service - as it is looking out for my personal safety - which is nice. My TPS indicator went on a few months ago and I went to a competitor tire place, where I get my oil changes done, who basically filled up the tires. No diagnostic testing was done that I was aware of. A month later TPS came back on. At the suggestion of my sister, I used Discount Tires for the first time. I was seen upon arrival and while in my car diagnostic pressure was assessed and it was determined there must be a leak. Within 15 min my tire was patched at NO CHARGE !! This was my first time buying a full set of tires as an adult, without my stepdad. Mitch was wonderful and he certainly made this a painless process. He made a great suggestion, but provided me with options for my tire and my windshield wipers. After making my selections, it was a 45 min process. While I waited, I had a few options on where i wanted to go for lunch, Thai or Mexican, which are both walking distance from the shop. I forgot to mention that it's located adjacent to the Holiday gas station and across the street from Cub Foods, the sign is hidden if you're coming from the north driving south, so it took me a moment to locate it. I had a leak in one of my tires because I kept having to fill it up with air every week. I went to this location 2 separate times and discussed my tire issues with two different young men and they both told me they didn't find anything wrong with the tire. I was insistent that something was wrong but they told me it was probably just a fluke with the tire pressure monitoring system. I feel the men at this location just try to flirt with you and do their salesman rapport and don't listen to the issues I'm having. I'm now at the University Ave location and they found TWO large nails in the tire. I'm very disappointed with Bloomington discount tire since they missed the large nails multiple times and wasted my time. read more

I am an avid fan of Discount tire. I always have such great service. This location fell a bit below my expectations. I had an appointment, the employee checked me in was okay but seemed annoyed by me and kind of talked to me like I may not know things. I was having them check on a slow leak for a brand new tire from 5 months before when I picked it up they said it's done but did not offer the reason or how they fixed it. After I asked they said there were 5 small leaks in the tire....but they fixed it. One week later I was still having the same issue and took it to the Woodbury location where they identified a crack in the actual wheel and made sure I was taken care of. I've been going to discount tire for over a decade. I was pretty disappointed when last spring they talked me into buying new wheels for my summer tires ($700) and the selling point was that I could swing by anytime and have them switched out. No need to make an appointment. It only would take up to 20 minutes (as soon as a bay opens up they'd slip me in and get me on my way). Today I called just to verify since this is the first time I need to switch my tires out to winter tires and they said I could leave it with them ALL DAY or make an appointment and that it would take a 60 minute appointment. Literally, the only benefit to getting wheels was saving time and I feel like I was lied to. I'm glad I called, but not cool DT, straight up lying to customers to make a sale. read more

Discount Tire has earned my repeated business over and over again for years. This past Thursday, July 1st, 2021 I had a leak in my left rear tire. I knew it either had to be repaired or replaced. My wife asked if I should go to Tires Plus because Discount Tire was closed? I said, "no, I will go to Discount Tire tomorrow when they're open". Upon arriving at Discount Tire in Bloomington, MN (on Lyndale ave), I was approached in the parking lot. The gentleman in the red polo and black pants asked me how I was, and what he could help me with today, and that his name was Bobby. He looked at my bad tire, and said he'd take a quick look to check my other tires. Bobby said let's get you checked in, there are some people ahead of you, and it will take about 30-45min. As I waited, I noticed that everyone was professional, smiling, the floors and waiting area was clean. Everyone working there seemed to enjoy taking care of the customers. They took great care of me as if I was a personal friend or well-respected liked family member. I was in their system because I only buy tires from them. They took care of fixing my tire and pulled my car in front. They handed me my key and I asked "is there a bill?" "No, it's all taken care of". Wow. Incredible. In the winter of 2022 I visited the Bloomington, MN Discount Tire location to investigate a tire that was previously purchased through Discount Tire that had a slow leak. My tire was allegedly removed and inspected and I was then informed my wheel was corroded and could not be salvaged. I was given a quote for all new wheels as a solve to my problem. Through much perseverance, I found a local tire shop that was honest and helpful. My old tire was removed and I was informed there is nothing wrong with my wheel. My wheels were cleaned up, new tires were installed and I am happily rolling along with my perfectly usable wheels. I highly recommend Tire Wiz near Buffalo, MN to efficiently and honestly take care of your wheel and/or tire needs. Had an appointment for my vehicle. They were super busy but very fast at what they did. Calling them is easy to talk to but at the counters they seemed not engaged in people in there. The people in there working on the vehicles were very fast. Joe or josh cannot remember his name was very pleasant. I would recommend to people. The only dislike I have is I was told they do military discount and then when I tried checking out, they told me they do not do that. I'm upset about that. I was very disappointed to have such a stereotypical experience here for a 30-year-old single woman. Found a nail in my tire, went in to get the hole patched. The guy at the counter took a look at my car, told me the treads on my tires were dangerously low, were in desperate need of replacing, and they were unable to service the tire until they were replaced. Uh huh. So I drove a few blocks down the street until I found a different tire shop. I explained to the salesperson at the counter what had happened at Discount Tire, and he said they had the same policy- they can't service a tire with treads that low. I asked him to take a look for a second opinion, and when he saw my tire, he was totally shocked- my treads weren't worn even nearly as low as Discount Tire claimed they were, and he said it would be no problem to patch my tire. I have another car that actually needs all four tires replaced, and I know exactly where I'll be going- NOT Discount Tire. read more
