Very clean place. Customer Service it great. They usually acknowledge to every customer waiting in line that we are there waiting to be seen. Bottled water and coffee is free. As for the service that can be lengthy at times but always true to there word. I went back to have them check a tire I had purchased from them. After they checked they told me that it will be replaced because I purchased the replacement package, but did not realize that I had to pay $15 when I checked out. So I was a little disappointed to find out after everything was complete that I was going to pay $15 for the guarantee to replace my tire again if anything should happen. read more

I was on my way home from Austin to Houston and as I was driving maybe 3-4 miles before I passed discount tires I heard a scraping sound from under the car and I started to get scared because my son was in the backseat. I called because I was in the middle of no where. They told me to just come and they will just check it out. When I got there came in and I told the gentleman I was hearing the scraping sound under the car he came out and crawled under the car and told me one of the screws came lose so the plate was scraping. He said he could zip tie it for me and it would be a temporary fix since I just wanted to get back to Houston. And he did just that at no charge and while I was waiting the gentleman that I was on the phone with came out to make sure I was taken care of. Great amazing service. Thank y'all very much! I always use Discount Tire in Bastrop for my vehicles. They are fast, friendly, and make sure that you get to see all of the options that are available to you. I took my one ton truck to them a couple of years ago and at the time couldn't afford new tires so they told me that there were several tires on my truck that were still good and I only needed to really replace the two tires that was wearing on the front of my truck. I did that and as soon as I could I went back and replaced the rest. Each vehicle that we have has had the tires replaced and it has been from here and I would not go anywhere else. read more

I have never written a yelp review before but this warrants it. Twice I have bought tires at Discount Tire in Bastrop and twice I have immediately turned around driving off the lot to tell them there is no air in the new tires. Both times they assured me it was the sensors rebooting and to drive home and it would correct. Twice I have driven home and twice the tires have not been aired up. We have used our compressor to bring them to driving pressure. I live 45 minutes away and have driven on 25lb of pressure both times. This is inexcuseable since it has happened twice. The employees are nice and efficient but are only interested in getting away at near closing time. read more

I brought 4 loose wheels to DT to have 4 tires I already owned, mounted. The advisor insisted on knowing where I obtained the new tires, what I paid and the exact model before he would quote me a price. He then proceeded to look up what DT would charge for those tires and added the difference to quote me $159. To mount and balance 4 loose 18" wheels. No need to fill a bay and remove them from a car even. I refuse to pay $40 a wheel to have a $10/hr tire changer spend 20min swapping tires. I've been ASE certified for nearly 20yrs and have replaced hundreds of tires in my lifetime. This is an unreasonable amount and a ludicrous business practice. I will never do business with DT again and will suggest the same to anyone else that values integrity in their service provider. read more

The staff here is great. I have not needed to buy tires in quite awhile, but when I have all have been wonderful. I've gotten rotations and balance as planned with no problems. I go by once a month to 5weeks and have my tires and pressure checked. Usually very quick. The last many times Bill has been the one to do it. He is wonderful. Checks and adds air where needed. Shows me where the tread is. Very nice. Very friendly. They all have been. read more

I was hesitant to go here, you always hear sketchy stories of corporate car places. I finally made up my mind and went because they said they would match my price from the tire shop i called 'Tires For You'. When I arrived a gentlemen named Christian came right outside asking how he can help...I was blind sided but happy I didn't even have to wait for someone to help me. he quickly confirmed their offer and said "We will match, we will take care of our customers regardless, so don't worry. we offer new tires some shops put on tires from car lots so they arent really that new." he seems pushy but for some reason I liked it. lol he had so much confidence in the corporate company, it almost made me feel at ease. so $412.28 later for four brand new Honda pilot tires I was excited to see what to expect...I wanted to be in and out so the service was not that fast...but overall I am hoping I get what I want out of these tires! if not,....then of course bad review to come...until then, thank you for the customer service!! read more

There was absolutely no sales pressure (no "why not buy all 4? why not add our great warranty?"), just friendly helpful people. I had opted out of the extended warranty, but when several friends told me stories about the great service from their warranties, I went back and added it the next day. You can't find better service than at Discount Tire in Bastrop. You know up front how long they anticipate it will take to get you out of there so you can either hang around or have someone come to get you. The place (including the bathroom) is clean, free water and coffee while you wait. The guys are knowledgeable, professional looking, and they hustle. Cold weather, hot weather, they are moving all the time. I wouldn't go anywhere else to buy my tires. read more

Would be zero stars if I could. Just my opinion but I am never going back to this place. Been driving cars, tractors, racing cars doing autocross and messing with all kinds of vehicles for over 35 years. I walk into the place now like maybe five time now and they will look right at you and act like they didn't see you and walk away. When they finally decide to quit ignoring you and quit acting busy they treat you like a moron and you know nothing and they are the masters of the Tire world. Try to buy just two tires and watch what happens. They will find something wrong with the others you have. Try to have new tires put on the front wheels instead of the rears and see what happens. They wont do it. Got my vehicle back and had 5 stripped lug nuts that broke when I had a brake job due. Not a fun job to fix and replace. Guess someone skipped lug-nut class at the tire college. If you want to go in like a mindless fool and spend money to what ever they recommend then go ahead and let them take your money. They do sell good products...it's the service I have an issue with. On the plus side they are fast and courteous while not listening to you and taking your money....Never going back. Just my opinion. read more
