If I could give this Meineke 0 stars, I would. They were nice but service was not good. I booked an appointment online for Wednesday, showed up, and was immediately turned away because "they were all booked," even though I had a confirmed time. The front-desk worker apologized and told me they were completely free on Thursday, so I rebooked. Thursday comes... exact same story. No mechanic available. She then reassures me multiple times that Friday morning will be easy, they're free, and they'll get my car in and out. Friday, I drop my car off at 8am, trusting what I was told. By 11am, I call to see if they've even diagnosed the issue and they tell me they'll get to it "soon." I call again at 2pm and they admit they still haven't looked at it. After three trips and an entire day without a car, I'm now picking it up with zero work done. This place completely wasted my time and gave me nothing but false promises. If you value your time or sanity, go literally anywhere else. read more

Completely incompetent. Miscommunication within their own company about what service you're booking when you call to make an appointment versus what they actually think they are supposed to do. You have clarify for them like speaking to a child. And then they ARGUE with you about what you ordered. Book at appointment and you'll still be waiting two hours. Find another place. read more

I took my pickup in 1/12/2026 to get an estimated on getting the odometer fixed. When they called me back their estimate was over twice I'd got from another shop, but that's okay. What's not okay is the dashboard over the instrument panel was smashed. Then they wanted to charge me to repair what they had broken. The absolute worst!!! read more

I kept waving at the guys in the garage, who paid me no attention. Sat in the waiting room. No one came in to help and I was the only person in the room. I had a very poor experience at this location. If I could give it 0 stars I would. I disclosed a leak in my AC to the company, they told me that they would still be able to do the recharge (which I have had done many other times before and it has worked just fine afterwards) after and hour an a half of waiting they informed me that I needed to go ahead and pay before the work was finished because they needed to close the store earlier than posted and as soon as my car was done I would be good to go. After paying them they informed me that the AC would not take the refrigerant because there was a leak, which I had disclosed, and then they could not tell me where the leak was after I asked because I told them there was a leak so they did not check for where it actually was. My AC was not fixed in any way and I left with it in worse condition than before. I called corporate and they told me that they could do nothing and that I would need to call the location. The manager Victoria had no interest in helping me resolve my situation when I called back and let them know that I had taken it somewhere else, they fixed it with no problem. I called prior to this service, made sure they knew there was a leak and confirmed that they would still be able to do the service. At this point they told me yes, now when I called she said well with a leak our machine won't work for a recharge since it detects the leak. Why was I not told that prior to taking the car in and paying the cost for repairs? If it was not going to work, why was that not disclosed to me as the customer. Great customer service! I brought my car in today for an estimate. I had a broken heat cover (in the exhaust system) damaged by road debris. Drew the manager was very helpful he removed the broken free of charge. He said it was not dangerous to drive without it since the exhaust pipe was not damaged. Got a full synthetic oil change with tire rotation and wheel balance combo from Groupon. Set up appointment online for 12:30PM on a Saturday (which was super easy). On the morning of the appointment (around 10:00AM), the GM Dave called me and said one of his guys called in sick and that if I could move my appointment just to 1:00PM. Thirty minutes is not much of a change, but what I appreciated was his earnest persona. When I came in I was greeted by another worker, Julie, who was honest and candid. They said the service would only take an hour and so I left to a coffee shop nearby. Forty-five minutes later I get a call and my car was done! Dave and Julie wanted the best for my car and shared with me no matter where I go, even if its somewhere else and something bugs me, that I could call back in for a second opinion. Great service! Update: Three hours later I got a tire pressure warning and immediately called Dave back. He said I could come back and have it checked out. Somehow one of my tire pressures dropped and so they filled it back up and told me I can come back whenever I want. The final action that sold me on their great service was that I overheard a mechanic talking to the other worker about a car that was just brought in with some leaking pipes. He said that they could do it, but it would be way too expensive for them. So he planned to contact the customer and have them go to the dealership instead so they can save money. If that ain't customer care, then I don't what is. Will definitely come back for future services and questions! read more

Came in for an AC evaluation. Technicians were quickly able to discover the root of my issue, but the gentleman behind the front desk was intolerable. He was extremely rude to me and another customer that were patiently waiting and simply inquired about an issue with their vehicle they had very little knowledge of. The front office worker continued to speak to us like we were idiots and even threatened a fee at the very mention of a little due diligence on my side in part pricing locally. Needless to say I eagerly paid his $130 "fee" for 15min look at my condenser just to get out and will happily be taking my vehicle elsewhere to be cared for by a team that appreciates and respects myself as well as my vehicle. read more

Took me way too long to stop coming here after so many issues: They charged a $70+ "diagnostic" fee because they didn't want to read my check engine light code for free. (In retrospect, I should have known when they said they would do the code for free unless diagnostics were needed that they must always "need" diagnostics.) Then they said I needed new sensors at a cost of $600+. I took it to Austin Automotive, they read the code for free, and recommended I take it to the dealership. The sensor issue was covered under warranty and I got it fixed at Town North Nissan for free. They lied and said I needed new brake pads. Mine were less than a year old and had barely been used due to the pandemic. The dealer checked them out and they were fine. They probably dinged my tire rim when putting a new tire on. The tire was losing air by the time I got home and even though I refilled it, it was flat by the time I could get it back to the shop. Thankfully I was able to purchase a new one from Discount Tire rather than from them. As a result, the tire is at risk of blowing out, but they won't replace it even after charging me for a "warranty." They also didn't realize that one of my tires only had 4 (out of 5) lug nuts in it. I made an appointment for an oil change and it still took 2 hours. What a waste of time and for the same price as other places that are so fast without an appointment. I booked an appointment for an oil change Monday morning. When I arrived, there was no one there! An hour into their posted business hours, they weren't open. I tried calling but no one answered the phone. I went home and called again at noon. I asked what happened, but wasn't given an explanation. They just asked when I wanted to come in instead. We rescheduled for the next morning. Next morning, again, no one is there! Again, no one picks up the phone. I've now disrupted my family's schedule two mornings in a row for nothing. I call again the next day after my temper has cooled. This time the manager picks up the phone. I asked what happened and he said a rogue employee had simply not shown up when they were supposed to. I asked why I never got a follow up call apologizing and he said the employee wiped their database. Let's just say I found this difficult to believe. And even if it is true, why are all employees being given full access to wipe the whole database?? Either way, this business is being run extremely poorly, and everyone I spoke to there was unprofessional. I recommend that you stay away. read more

I purchased the $70 Groupon for a synthetic oil change, which included the oil change (top off fluids), rotate tires and balancing. After I was told my car was ready, I noticed my tire pressure sensor was still on (it was on when I took it in). I parked and walked back in and asked them to check them, and they took a look and sure enough they needed to add air to a tire or two. I drove off after that and got to HEB when I attempted to clean my windows and sure enough there was no window washer fluid at all (it was empty when I brought it in). I was told I could pop open the hood and look myself to see if any was added or drive it back for them to look at. The whole experience made me feel like I don't actually know what, if any of the services were completed -were the fluids even checked? Did my tires get rotated? I won't be back to find out. The reasons why I gave them two stars instead of one are that they were quick to get me in and out without an appointment, and the guys working at the front desk are nice and personable. Unfortunately now I don't feel like I can trust that my car is taken care of there. $70 down the drain? Probably. Lesson learned! read more

I scheduled an appointment last Wednesday only to find out the mechanic wasn't there when I arrived at the shop after I took off work and drove 30 min to the shop. I was re-scheduled for the next day at 1:30pm. 4 hours later, they serviced my car. The next day, I heard a weird, scratching sound coming from my front tire, the exact place Meineke worked on. So, after a long weekend out of town and wondering if my car was going to be okay or not, I went back into the shop on Monday. The mechanic acknowledged that it was clearly his fault for messing up the service. So, I asked for compensation/discount because I wasted my time, they clearly messed up, and my brake pads were damaged. The mechanic that worked on my car offered me a free oil change, but I still wanted to talk to the owner, Dave, who wasn't in the shop. I explained to the mechanic that I wasted my time coming back here for something they messed up on. Then the mechanic asked me "So, do you make millions or something?" I told him, no, but my time is still valuable. Then, he took out his wallet and asked me how much I spent on gas. Very passive aggressively he said "5 dollars? 10 dollars? I'll give you cash right now." I refused money from him and asked to speak to the owner. After speaking to the owner on the phone, he told me he couldn't give me any sort of compensation because there's a 12-month warranty on service. I take that as meaning that they can mess up on anyone's car and tell you to come back to get it fixed on your own time. I've been to this location twice for an oil change and I haven't had any issues. Both times were walk ins so no appointments were made. The wait time is usually 40-50 min but that is always communicated to me beforehand so there aren't any surprises with the wait time. The waiting room is small and clean; the manager and mechanics are friendly. They help provide any suggestions to improve car service quality. I am removing one star though because when I got my car back, the steering wheel had smudges of grease from the mechanic working on the car. It's understandable as I would expect the mechanic to have grease all over his hands from repairing the car, but I wish they'd use a shop towel to wipe it off the steering wheel so that I don't end up with dirty hands. read more

All but one employee, I presume the owner/manager, were very scattered and slow. Three other cars went in the garage before mine (including someone who walked in after me); I'm not sure if they had appointments so I won't berate them for that. But nonetheless, I had an appointment and waiting an hour and a half for an oil change with one is ridiculous. Next time I will try a different location. The only reason for the second star was because we were offered water/coffee many times by multiple employees to make our time here less irritating. read more

This is been by far the worst experience I've ever had at a mechanic. I called in to make sure there was an opening in order to get an oil change. They said, come on in no wait at all. I came in and the first question he asked was whether I had a Groupon. I said yes, and he told me that I would need to wait at least 24 hours after making an appointment. Nowhere on Groupon did they have this stipulation. So I just want to head and paid cash. They forgot to screw on my oil plate! I got 4 miles down the highway when I heard a horrible screeching sound. I called and they told me to come back in. I told them I didn't feel safe driving, if they could send someone out or tow me. When I brought it back, rather than giving me new screws, they just zip tied it back together. read more

DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICE AT THIS LOCATION!!!!!! I received terrible customer service from this location. I originally went to have an oil change on my 2005 Nissan Altima. Upon my arrival the manager was originally nice, and helpful. He also informed me that while the technician was inspecting my vehicle, he found several things that I may need to have worked on in the future and that may become a concern. One of the things that I elected to have done in addition to my oil change( and it was the standard synthetic oil change ), was the air filter change within the car which was an additional 19.99. When I left Meineke, I drove to San Marcos Texas which is about a 40 minute drive from my location once I arrived in San Marcos at my Destination, I turned the car off and went inside and came back out very shortly to attempt to drive to Target. My car started and acted like it wanted to stop, and then the car died while it was still in drive. There was also white smoke coming out of the tailpipe, and I was told this was because my radiator fluid in the back up radiator fluid reservoir were bone dry!!!! On the document that the manager, Alex handed me while I was receiving service at Meinicke it's stated that they checked all fluids levels and made recommendations on those levels. I don't understand why I wasn't informed that my fluids were so low that if I took a very short trip that I could risk ruining my entire engine!!!!!!!!! I was blessed with meeting a mechanic that evening in San Marcos who assisted me with topping off my fluids, and making sure that I returned back to Austin Texas safely. The next morning, I called and spoke with Alex, and relate to him the circumstances involving my car and how is performing shortly after I left Meineke he was very rude extremely rude he told me that it was some thing that must of happened, and that happens in cars sometimes. Also, he relayed to me that he informed me of the dirty fluid at the time of service. What I don't understand is why he didn't inform me that it was so low, that in an hours time of driving or less, that I may be at risk of ruining my engine. That was never relayed to me because he was initially so nice in the store I expected him to come from a more professional standpoint, and to say things such as oh I'm so sorry that happened to you swing back by let us take a look at it if we see anything while we're in there will go ahead and make recommendations at that time now that you're having this issue I'm sorry that happened to you .........something !!!!!!! He was extremely rude and it seemed like he was trying to cover up for poor workmanship. Once I discovered that he was not willing to give me the franchise owner's phone number which is also extremely shady, he told me that I can call corporate and get the information. I called corporate to be told that they don't give out internal information. I then began texting with someone from corporate, and they were pretty much telling me that they couldn't give me the franchise owners information which Alex the manager at that location in Austin knew when he gave me the information!!! Which further deflects away from any type of accountability for the poor work that his team did that day. I eventually relayed to the person in corporate that I would like for the franchise owner of that location to contact me directly. I gave them my full name,my phone number, and my email address. I hope that I hear from someone soon this has definitely left a poor taste in my mouth, and I will spread the word like wildfire. read more

They really let me down. I got a Groupon and took my car in for an alignment and they saw that my car battery was corroding so they charged me $15 to clean it up. A month later on 4/18 my car doesn't start. I pop the hood and I see that my battery is corroded again. I managed to get it jumped and took it back into the shop and they cleaned it again taking responsibility because it's like the job wasn't completed the first time at all. They replace my battery terminal and wire free of charge and I was happy. I drove my car home and didn't need it until the next day. The next day on 4/19 my car doesn't start. I called them asking them what the deal was and they said to bring it in again. That means they failed to do this job twice. They give me the number for Meineke Rewards and offered to tow my car to the shop except the dispatch fails the first time the truck comes 3 hours late. By now the shop is about to close so I don't get it towed. Today 4/20, I manage to get it jumped and bring my car in and they battery is dead. The first time the corrosion cleaning on my battery, they said they tested my battery's health and it was fine. Today they notice swelling and it's dead. Did you even run the tests if not the first time then the second time? They tell me a new battery is going to be $160 but they would prorate it 10%. I ask if they can do anything for me, at least the $15 I wasted on them "cleaning" the corrosion on my battery could be applied as a discount and they couldn't do that. They made me feel like I wasn't cared for as a customer. You missed 2 opportunities to help me get on the road safely and the third time I have to come in you make minimal effort to make it right. After having wasted money having to Uber because they failed to do their job properly, I told them not to swap out my battery. I went 3 blocks away to AutoZone (who noticed the swelling right away and knew I should replace the battery, something Meineke seemed to miss twice) and I got a battery for $70 and they installed it for me. You guys need to shape up. read more

Does not offer an apology for being 20 minutes late. Very rude when checking in, no eye contact NEVER GOT MY PHONE NUMBER but instead looked me up by my name and appointment time. The mechanics had already removed the motor and told Alex "I've already uninstalled it and almost have it installed" surprised at how quick it was I asked him "They already almost have it installed?" and he LIES to my face and says "No, he said they have it uninstalled". I ask how long it will take, he says an hour. Which is shady af seeing as how they literally said they almost had it installed. I get back, Alex the rude ass says "I have been trying to call but your phone number isn't working" I tell him he never got my phone number when I checked in. Instead of admitting that he was wrong, he decides to argue with me about it. I pay, grab the keys and leave. No "have a nice day" "come back" "Fuck you" nothing from this "manager" that is supposed to provide customer service. 5 DAYS LATER THE PART FALLS OUT ONTO MY FLOORBOARD. So, not only am I being overcharged $200.00 for work that may have taken 20-30 minutes for some reason, I now have to get the part that they "installed", reinstalled because they didn't know what they were doing. Today, I went to a better Meineke that knows what they are doing and guess what? The same installation service there would cost a whopping 40 dollars because it would take maybe 10 minutes to install. However, they did it under 1 MINUTE. 1 MINUTE! No charge. ***PLEASE CONTACT ME IF YOU WOULD LIKE THEIR INFO, THEY ARE MUCH BETTER I PROMISE YOU.**** This place is a fucking nightmare the past year which is really sad because the manager before was amazing. This Alex guy is shady as hell. I will not spend another dime at this place and dissuade anyone from going to this location. read more

(Warning: a zero star review, only made it 5 stars so it would actually show up on Yelp who will not post many negative reviews.) The mechanics at this shop caused damage to my truck and will not fess up to it. I took my perfectly functioning truck in for basic brake work and came out with well over a $1,000 of engine damage that did not show up on any diagnostic reading shortly before that visit. Also, the brake work is poor as I still have squeeking and some grinding sounds. When I called them out their work, they realized they had "made a mistake" when they replaced the rear brakes from a previous visit several months before. So they had to redo all four wheels and they were pissed. When I complained about my truck having more problems now than when it went in for service, they got hot and yelled at me in front of other customers. It was actually the manager and the front desk clerk. I contacted the franchise owner via email and he could care less due to his lack of suggestions for how to solve this problem. He actually wants me to take it back to the guy who yelled at me, and have him drive around with me, and then leave it there for the mechanics to "see if they did anything that would have caused my engine problems." Are you serious? Like they would admit to it now!!!! Anyway my truck now has engine problems and I do believe it was caused by the negligence at this location. To give you an idea, it's a 2004 with 107,000 miles on it. In other words, it doesn't get driven much and has been babied. I just want my truck's engine to be in THE EXACT SAME CONDITION IT WAS IN WHEN I TRUSTED IT TO THIS SHOP. Obviously I want the brakes to work too. read more

I've used this Meineke in the past as a standard minimal frills oil change. Today was a bit of an exception, in the best way possible. I had originally gone to groovy lube for a basic oil change only to have them tell I had to come back to this Meineke. I got lucky being the only person in the shop and explained the story to the GM Dave and he was the utmost professional with my car. After a slight miscommunication between groovy lube, myself and Dave. Dave was actually able to connect all the dots together and sort out exactly what was going on. He beyond helpful and correct others mistakes. I'm going to be taking this lesson and keeping all my business with Dave from here on out. read more

Super friendly & almost had a long term customer. Took both cars in yesterday for the $20 oil change (at different times) and were told both needed $600 in repairs. The $20 oil change was not worth the stress that followed. We were told one was so dangerous to drive a tire could fly off at any moment. Special thanks to Kenny at Firestone for a second option (that found drastically different conclusions). They will send you photos of the repairs that need work and explain why the tire "flying off the car" is actually nearly impossible. The 24 hours of stress and safety concerns were unfounded. This is the best Meineke location I have ever been to. I made an appointment for 7:30 AM. When I pulled in at 7:20, they were already open and ready for business! Other locations are just unlocking their doors at this time, and I have to wait another 20 minutes for them to set up. Not here. As soon as I walked in, Julie and another mechanic greeted me. They were able to take my car within five minutes! Their waiting room is the cleanest I have ever seen for any auto shop, including dealerships! It didn't smell like oil, and there weren't random stains and car parts anywhere in sight. They have a Keurig and a mini fridge stock full of bottled water! None of that old coffee burning in a pot for five hours. And the bathroom? So clean! The waiting room and bathroom looked and smelled so fresh and clean. You can definitely tell that they take a lot of pride in their store, as they maintain their shop and provide such excellent service. Julie kept me company while I waited and was such a pleasure. I will be recommending this location to everyone. read more
