Been to this location a few times because it's the closest one to me and I don't want to pay dealership rates for an oil change or wait over 30 minutes. But this location is horrible, staff is very nice but they spend the whole time talking to eachother and just standing around. Jiffy lube is advertised for speed yet this location takes over 10 mins to check you in. That's not counting the wait in the line and then an additional 10 mins waiting before someone starts working on the oil change. For a company whose selling point is speed, they end up taking as long or longer than dealerships. They had 4 or 5 people today and only one was working on getting people checked in. Another was just looking at a screen. The third was walking around with a rag trying to look busy and then you had the guys below. All those guys in the work area for them to only have two bays in use. Waited like 25 minutes or so for them to take a car into the second bay and have no one underneath it. read more

The men that work here were very polite, went above and beyond to make sure my company vehicle was in good condition when I drive away. There were issues with the fleet credit card which they so politely got figured out and sent me away with a smile! I definitely will take my cars to this location in the future. read more

Usually friendly staff. Their computer system is awful and not reliable. I have had to give my information as if I have never been here. What's the point of scanning with your device if it isn't reliable and saving the information. Very inefficient! They are never that busy probably because no one wants to deal with that each time. Minor effort on my part mainly it's principal. Your business should store customer files for ease of access information. I will be going to Mainlane next time. They at least are on top of things and have system reliability. And I never have to do anything. Even not going often they still have my information after months of going elsewhere! read more

You've been to a Jiffy Lube. You know the deal. But the current crew at this location puts it well ahead of any Jiffy Lube we've been to. We've had great experiences there. Service is important. And these guys make us feel at home, comfortable, and valued as customers. There was food on the service counter, like they'd just dined there and left all the leftover food there, covered with napkins and such. So... that should have been more tidy. But honestly, that was our only complaint. And as long as the crew and service levels remain as they've been our last few times, we will definitely keep coming here for our routine maintenance. read more

They replaced my cabin air filter and gave me an oil change. They were nice to me. They promptly were able to listen to what I needed when I arrived. It cost about $100 for an oil change which I think is a little bit more expensive than usual. read more

The first time here staff was nice and took care of replacing my car battery. I came back to Jiffy Lube on state highway 71 Bastrop months later because I needed a simple oil change. The man working underneath ( Timothy) was trash talking the entire time while "working on my car". Very careless service. I went back hours later because my skid plate was falling on. They put it on correctly however there was damage in the front and had to cut the plastic. Come Tuesday my car was leaking oil in my garage. I had to go back AGAIN. Outcome was oil wasn't leaking, " the skid plate and filter were not cleaned properly". I asked to speak to the manager and was told him was not there today. I called several times (from work) the next day no answer, no option to leave a voicemail. I filled out the survey from my email with contact information and what happened, no answer. Oil leak AGAIN. This time I went with my boyfriend and he got more respect then I did and they said the manager only comes in if there is " a major problem". Terrible customer service. Ladies DO NOT come to this jiffy lube or else you will be taken advantage of. Awful management. They took his number and still have yet to hear back read more

He was so lazy he argued with me because he didn't want to do a simple oil change. These idiots forgot to put my oil cap back on and oil spilled all over my engine. I had oil changed in September 2022- October 10,2022 I was driving to Austin and my car broke down on the 290 fly over. the oil plug was. it put back in properly from jiffy lube - and came out - all oil ran out and locked up my engine- had to be towed. fought with corporate over 2 months to settle claim. they would not release payment to dealership when repairs were done- $16,718! 73 later I finally got my car back! I went to get an oil change here. After a week I started hearing that something in the bottom of my car kept scratching the bumps when driving on the roads. I returned to this place so they could hopefully fix it or at least to take a look at it. They were pretty rude and did not even want to take a look. They kept denying that I got the oil change there and didn't even look at the records. I took my car to a different place instead and turns out they did not put back two screws when I got my oil change done. My car is new and could have been damaged to just to be safe I am never to going to this place again. The work and service is not good. read more

My wife went in last week for an oil change. Here is some back story. We've had a hit or miss with this jiffy Lube. For whatever reason, they go through managers like they were going out of style. Some familiar faces are still there for the Long haul. So, most of the time, if this jiffy lube messes up, they usually fix it or go above and beyond to make things right. That's what happened to visits ago. I left a review because of it that was very good. Then my wife goes the last time around and there was this one obnoxious African American female worker that was just unprofessional as can be. She was very loud and basically kept rambling a bunch of incoherent words and was doing everything but her job. The managers all had to yell at her several times in which she caused a argument over it. At that point my wife was going to stop going for a while. She didn't want to deal with that woman touching her car. Fast forward to last week and my wife who was very scared to pull up to that jiffy Lube again did so very bravely. It turns out that the obnoxious woman that was there is no longer at that company. Turns out, that the person that was helping her was the same trustworthy individual that has helped before and helped us put Faith in this company. My wife told her story to him just as a conversational piece to kill time during deal oil change but this individual sat there and listened intently. He apologized profusely for the service that she got last time around and actually went above and beyond to make up for a situation that he had nothing to do with. He significantly discounted our oil change as a show of apology and wanted to assure us that they stand by the motto of good customer service and customer experience. He gave us this discount which blew our minds away because my wife wasn't expecting anything and this manager apologized and thanked her for giving us a second chance and as a show of good faith would hope that they would continue to use them for all of their maintenance needs. My wife came home and told me what happened and she also made it a habit to remember this manager's name. Once again Brian comes through with above and beyond excellent customer service and has once again restored faith in this jiffy Lube location. My wife and I will continue to come to this location but only if Brian is there. We will call and ask to make sure that he is working the day we intend on coming in because with a manager like Brian handling our car, we know we are in good hands read more

I'll first explain why they are not getting a 1 star rating after the horrible service and explain why I raised them to 3 stars because of their resolution to the problem. Last May I asked to add a tire rotation to my lube oil change. I slowly rolled away from JL and didn't hear anything right away. As I turned onto the main road and began accelerating up to 25 then 30 mph, the sound and vibration of one my tires was like a wheel was wanting to fall off. I pulled over and sure enough my right rear tire was not on tight. I could make it move slightly with my foot if I pushed hard. My 3 yr old girl was with me at the time in the back seat and this made me even more furious that JL released me with this problem. I drove 5 mph back to JL having to make 2 U-turns, one on hwy 71 that upset a lot of drivers. I pulled into JL, took my daughter out of the car and demanded to see the manager. I tore up the manager and he quickly put my car in his tire bay and somehow corrected it. He apologized profusely and said that the tire guy was new. Fast Forward to this March 2010. I get a flat on my right rear tire. I pull over and start setting up to put my spare on. All of my lug bolts are on tight as expected, except one. Instead of putting the wrench on and then having to stuggle to break it free, I simply put the wrench on this one lug and it spun loose with just the weight of the handle. I pulled the lug bolt out of the hole and the threads were completely stripped. What's worse is that the female threads are stripped as well. This is the tire that new JL employee handled in May and apparently he did not thread the lug bolt in by hand before putting his impact wrench on it. I was spitting mad and ready to flame them on Yelp. I approached JL and showed them the bolt. The manager was Steve and I went through a pretty severe cross examination in their waiting room. Just proving I was even a customer was difficult as they could not find any of my records in their system. Fortunately I remembered keeping a receipt of one of my oil changes and was able to show them. Miraculously they were able to see me in the database. Once Steve admitted that they messed up, everything changed. He promised to pay for the repair. I asked for that in writing, and he did. He got my estimate and sent it off to their warranty company. As promised, in 2 weeks I was able to pick up the check, which I did this morning. I'm still furious at the initial mistake, but have to admit that they did try to make amends so I'm willing to raise them up from 1 star to 3 stars. read more

Under new management. Give this location a try again. I boycotted this location for over 3 years until last month. New management was brought in from higher volume shops and have made a drastic difference in service. The new manager, Mike, along with one of his men, Josh, were very informative and gave me excellent customer service and did a great job on both my vehicles. In the past this location would do horrible things like forget to put the oil into vehicles, be rude to customers, overcharge, etc. Those days are gone now for Bastrop Jiffy Lube. Thanks. I got my state inspection here on a Saturday and it was very busy. It took over 2hrs to be completed. But at least my inspection was completed. My husband (same insurance card, same address) went here for a state inspection and they refused to do it. Outright said no, they would not do it even though the proper people were working.
